Our room was nice but when you shower, the water floods the whole bathroom and goes into the room! Our sink in the bathroom was blocked so the water didn't run down! It's a nice guesthouse but a few things need attention!

Very nice stay, thank you. Only there was no hot water and we had to drive early. Was there for a rugby tournament.
I called 3 times and no one answered the phone. I wanted to check in earlier. I also had the agent call, and they only got an answer after the 3rd try. When we arrived the driver was not there, and we had to wait for the key. Back yard doesn't look good and neither does the reception.
Linen/pillows need to be replaced. The rooms need to be more soundproof from neighbours.

Ons is vriendelik ontvang en ontvangsdame is baie aangenaam. Gastehuis kort 'n opknap, en goeie skoonmaak en badkamers het 'n dreinreuk maar dit kan wees van die baie reën. Daar was nie koffie, melk of bottel water in die kamers nie. Remote van TV was weg en geen WiFi nie. Die kamers is baie klein, daar is min plek vir beweging en net groot genoeg vir een persoon.

Very easy to locate the guest house with a large and clear sign in the road.

Bed is poor and not up to standard. Cracks terribly when you stir and it is very mushy. We were up early because both of our backs were too sore from the mattress.

The fitted sheet had holes in it, pillowcases dirty, toilet dirty from previous guests. The towels are frayed. Not value for money.
Room was full of ants, informed the maid the next morning, because manager wasn't even there!
Upon arrival we were welcomed with a friendly face. The accommodation is very neat and clean and we will always recommend Royal Guesthouse and definitely visit again!
Very good value for money
Kettle does not work, low pressure in shower when everyone is showering, very hot and dark without power, mattress a bit slept though.
I just felt that the room was not really that clean. There were sticky soda marks on the bedside table. The shower had black mold in it and the bedding really didn't smell clean and there were marks on the linen. There was also only one channel available on the TV. After checking in I looked for someone to tell about the TV but couldn't find anyone.
Yard dirty, parking poor.
The stay at The Royal Guest House exceeded my and my wife's expectations and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for clean, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. The friendly lady in command and her good team deserve the highest praise.

I had a nice stay, but I chose the room because they advertised it with a bathtub. There is no bath.
I can recommend it. It's value for money.
The room was clean and very comfortable with all the mod cons. Air-con, microwave, kettle, prep sink, DStv, en-suite bathroom. Unfortunately my electric blanket didn't work, and the rubber washer in the bathroom sink was missing so the basin couldn't hold water, but I did report these to reception and was assured that it would be taken care of. Those things were not a problem for me, but I thought it courteous to report them for future guests comfort. Something else the Royal Guest House may wish to be aware of - although the acts themselves by the other guests were completely out of the guesthouses control. On the Friday night I was really tired and went to bed really early! I slept beautifully until the couple in the adjoining cam home at some crazy hour and had a rip roaring fight. I heard every word until someone slammed the door, and stormed off. Peace and quiet again. Then on Saturday night again - until precisely 3:17am when a different couple now staying in the room, came home and made a noise. Unfortunately this act was repeated at 8:15 the next morning. Sadly the walls are like paper.
It was a pleasant stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Especially liked the patio with table and chairs. No need to sit in the room all day. Thank you very much, the receptionist was also very friendly, professional and helpful.

The room is a bit small, but everything is neat and clean. Room has all the necessary facilities. The bed is comfortable with quality bedding.
Neat and clean and had a peaceful night. Cleaners handle reception which is a bit inappropriate as place looks really nice from the front of the building. Construction work is still going on it would appear. The boundary wall where vehicles are parked luckily leans over to the neighbours' side and with a heavy storm it will definitely tip over.

Alhoewel die kamer binne pragtig was met heerlike lugversorging en lieflike bed, was dit nie behoorlik skoon gewees nie (ou kos onder die bed en die throw het kolle opgehad). Die stortdeur uiters onprakties ge-installeer. Daar was load shedding en geen noodlig beskikbaar nie of iemand wat navraag doen of mens okay is nie. Omgewing buite die kamers het geen karakter nie en die grasperk onnet. Ontbytarea is baie oulik en die warm deel vd ontbyt was heerlik maar die koue deel was teleurstellend ... joghurt was bv nie koud nie en die kaas het al begin omkrul.

The towels are dirty. The bedding is broken and dirty. On the ad it says King size, that's why I booked the room.
We had a nice stay. The rooms look like on the photos. What you see is what you get.
Everything was good, very clean, equipment is new and clean, nice shower, aircon worked well and was quiet, other guests were quiet. Everything was just perfect. Thank you very much.

Comfortable, neat, nice.
Only stayed one night, but was very surprised with the place. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend it.
Clean, tidy, safe, affordable accommodation. Rooms neat. Pleasant surprise to find microwave and kitchen facilities.
Although there were still renovations and improvements on the premises, they did not affect us in any way. It's a beautiful place with very nice clean rooms. The bathrooms are wonderfully large and there was everything we needed. I might just suggest leaving fresh milk instead of powdered milk in the rooms. We bought milk as we don't like cremora. Otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you, I will definitely be able to recommend you.
The service was great, everything went smoothly. We slept well, the WiFi was fast and available. The TV and everything was in working order. It is worth the effort.

No cell phone reception. Communication in Afrikaans is not available and the English communication is very poor. Didn't meet the owner. Breakfast was not offered. Construction debris has been lying behind the room for a long time. Photo creates impression of a large room. Bedside fridge is frozen solid. Mattress is done. Gate noise.
We only stayed one night after a wedding. But the place was very clean and tidy. Everything we needed for a comfortable evening.

It's a brand new place and the name was not out there. Had to wait for someone to come open, even though there were workers busy. Other than that I have no complaints, clean, beautiful decoration and nice bed. Wash paws out.
After a journey time of about 5 hours, it was not a warm welcome when on our arrival there was a dispute about the outstanding fees. Although the owner himself was not available on site, one would at least expect him to convey the correct communication to the staff. We had to contact the owner himself after which he himself was not sure what the outstanding amount was and had to call around to find out. Our needs for coffee and tea were insufficient and the supply for them was not replenished during the next morning's cleaning of the room. We ourselves had to make additional coffee, tea; buying sugar and fresh milk just to meet our basic needs. Although we were aware of the fact that the accommodation did not include breakfast, we would have liked to exercise the option to exercise the quoted price of R70 per person, if not. However, it was only made clear upon our arrival that no breakfast is served on weekends. We feel that we did not get value for our money at all at "The Royal Guest House". The service, friendliness of staff had been anything but "royal". The place is therefore more suitable for contractors who drive back to their families at weekends, but certainly not for tourists who expect the comfort and service of a guest house. I would not recommend the accommodation at all.
On arrival there was no address or number or name visible. The person who received us does not know about our reservation. It was also not stated anywhere that the breakfast costs extra.
