Absolutely a wonderful lucky last minute find. Had a sublime stay, the view, the rocks and beautiful sunrises. Beautiful bathrooms and amazing skylights that made it bright and light. Spacious, friendly staff and could not ask for a better private happy place and view.

A lovely spot, with a great swimming beach directly below the cottage, accessed via a private path. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Well equipped and sparkling.

We have been going down to the South Coast of KZN for years. There's almost no other place in the World, that offers such immense beauty in Nature and an Ocean that you can Swim in. However, due to the water problems, we will think very carefully about a return trip. The entire Coastline is more derelict every year, businesses are suffering. Cry our beloved country!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The unit is in excellent condition and exceptionally well equipped. We especially enjoyed the unlimited view of the sea and the tranquility. As older persons, we found the private access to the beach a bit difficult. However, we would like to saddle up there again in the future and would like to thank the owners for sharing their "cottage by the sea" with us.

The Sea Cottage is such a wonderful place to stay. It is my second time visiting with many return trips planned. We had a great week with dolphin and whale sightings every day. The staff are wonderful and Roxy made us feel at home. The close proximity to the beach is a real bonus, especially with a toddler who wants to explore. A real gem with a stunning view. This little house was so cosy and comfy with enough space for a family of 4. A must for a break away to the coast with the family.

The Sea Cottage is beautiful, clean and neat. I recommend it to people but without animals. We asked for a dog-friendly place because we have 2 beagles that go on holiday with us. We asked in advance if there was a fence so the puppies could not get out. We were told there is. When we arrived we saw there was no fence. My puppies were taught and obeyed and it was not a problem for us until the puppies around the house in the garden started sniffing and we were yelled at and told the dogs might not be without a leash. I was with them and supervised. The next moment the caretaker shouts at me that the dogs should always be on a leash. We received no such letter. Because there was no place to close the dogs outside, we closed the dogs in the house when we had to go to town or to the restaurant. The caretaker was aware of this. Upon returning home, the owner phoned us and asked why the dogs were closed in the house without supervision. We were shocked because of this rule and the rule over the leash were not communicated to us. She was extremely unfriendly and that after we left and there was no damage in the house and nothing broke. It was clean and right as we got it on our arrival. We cleaned ourselves because the cleaner was afraid of the dogs. It is not animal-friendly at all. It is only suitable for people with no animals. We are extremely disappointed in how we were treated with our arrival and departure and also because we asked in advance and made sure that the house did have a fence so that the puppies could not come out and that it was friendly.

Apart from the weather not cooperating at all, I can't think of a better getaway. The unit has a great sea view, it is safe and the environment is quiet. I would recommend The Sea Cottage to anyone who just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And Mia, our Yorkie was welcome and also had a nice holiday with her human parents. The staff and then Roxy made us feel welcome and were helpful with advice and recommendations.
