We were a family of 4 traveling together. Two units were booked and there was secure parking for cars and also prams. For the price it was really worth it.

We had no communication before arrival! After three attempts via WhatsApp, I called their number, and asked the lady for a pin location. I haven't received it yet. Later we had to find the address (Google). We slept in room 6. The bed creaked so much with every turn, that we really didn't have a good night's rest! Furthermore, the room was very neat and clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly in the hot weather!
My stay was comfortable, and I will probably recommend it. There are, however, other less expensive options for the same quality.
Very good for what I paid for. WiFi and air conditioning are a bonus. Just make sure that there is water available in the fridge, if you write about it in the announcement.
Nice stay. But tea spoons were not washed. This brought a question mark about cleanliness.
We were kindly received. The room was neat and clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. Information about places to eat in the area is available in the room.

Our whole experience was not so positive this time. Our deposit was paid, fees not allocated and we lost the reservation and had to go through the process again. Although we booked for 3 people there were not enough coffee mugs for all of us and there was no tea towel or anything.

We had a nice stay at The Solomon, the room was neat and comfortable. We requested the breakfast at R100/person, but cannot recommend it at that price. Can get the same and better at Spur for a lot less. But the room was very nice, no complaints about it.
The Solomon is in a lovely, old part of Kimberly. We found it neat, clean and a perfect place to overnight.

It was just a bit to get hold of someone to open for us, but rooms are beautiful! It is extremely important for me to find right places with a disabled son. Shower big enough and enough space for him. Extremely awesome that there was a little oven for me to prepare food. I will definitely book again!
The boiler in unit 8's life is over. It doesn't turn off and if you touch the handle, the steam burns you. This is a security risk.
Peaceful, clean and the Wi-Fi was good.
This is an excellent overnight destination! Centrally located, with very neat units. There is even a small play area set up for children. There is nice seating outside under trees, and even a braai area. We were received kindly and all necessary information was provided to us. The Solomon offers good value for money! Will definitely visit them again if we are ever in the area!

We stayed at the Solomon for 4 nights (April). The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious, tidy and well equipped. We had a wonderful stay, the service was excellent, and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The Solomon is without a doubt my favorite guest house in Kimberley!

Our room was advertised as self-catering for a family of four. This is true if you have pre-teens or small children, but not with teenagers. The accommodation was cleaned daily and the bed very comfortable. Shelving for soap and shampoo in the shower was lacking. On arrival, Richard received us and was friendly and assisted extremely well. For business travel, I would definitely recommend The Solomon.
One adult did not have a bath towel and the single bed did not have clean bedding.
The accommodation was just what I needed after a day of work. Staff were helpful and the room serviced. Most definitely will stay again.
The stay was very nice, and the environment was very quiet. I was just unhappy, because we only found out on the last day of our stay that there was a kitchen to cook and that the plates and cutlery were in the kitchen.

I am very disappointed in The Solomon. We arrived 24th only got Wi-Fi the 26th and a cleaning service only on the 26th. We found a scopion and spiders in the kids' beds. I did call to report this but I was not assisted. The worst place I've ever slept in. Couldn't wait to get out of there.

Immediately after the reservation was made, the owner insisted that we pay the full amount, which we did about a month before the night we were supposed to spend the night. When we arrived there was no one there and we could not enter the premises. The phone numbers were also not answered. After a long struggle, a worker who was there to look after her small children opened the gate. She first informed me that they were full and after I explained that we had booked, let me in. She and I then searched the reservation book for my reservation. It wasn't there, but she later found it in another book. In the meantime we learned that the owners had to leave urgently, and the owner called me a week or so later. However, the experience was not pleasant.
Would love to visit again.
It's the ideal home for families and groups looking for self-catering accommodation. The reception and service was good. The parking was very safe. The environment is very quiet.
