Very very quiet, clean and safe.
The management received us kindly. The unit was clean and tidy, with clean bedding and towels. Delicious hot water for the nice big shower with good pressure was a bonus for me and it impressed me (it's really rare that you get that). Thank you for a nice overnight stay. I will definitely book there again. Just one suggestion: they should set a time for noise, because other guests played music until late at night and disturbed our night's rest a bit. But it wasn't there guilt - it's people who feel nothing for others.
Met our needs. Thank you very much. Maybe also consider a microwave by the outside fridge. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Exactly as expected. Only two minor issues to consider. The mattress caused painful hips during the night and the shower head directs the most water to close down the back wall. Apart from that very nice.
I travelled to Tzaneen with my daughter for a school function at Merensky High. This is a beautifully kept and clean place, offering a comfortable stay. The water was fantastic. However, my complaint is about the inconsiderate behavior of the management during the evening. We checked in on Thursday and had a lovely, restful night. On Friday night, things took a different turn. After picking up my daughter from school at 10pm and arriving shortly after, we were looking forward to getting into bed as she had a busy day ahead with sports on Saturday. Unfortunately, there was a gathering at one of the houses until after 1am. We finally fell asleep at about 2:30am, only to be woken up at 5:30am by someone rushing past our room to room 7, talking loudly, and a small dog constantly barking at whoever opened the door. I woke up from that and could not go back to sleep. On Saturday night, we arrived just after 7pm. My daughter immediately fell asleep from exhaustion due to sports, while I stayed up to watch the rugby final on my phone. Again, there was a gathering in the main house, but I understand that it was the World Cup. However, after the game was over, I went to sleep, only to be startled at 1:30am by loud talking men on the stoep at room 5 and 4. I could not get back to sleep after that. Now, I have a massive headache from lack of sleep and a long drive ahead of me today. There needs to be curfews set in place. Guests need a good night's sleep, which is, after all, what we pay for at this establishment, as there are no other services available on offer.
The unit offers everything one could wish for overnight and even longer. Fully equipped. New equipment and away from city bustle with a peaceful farm atmosphere. Can recommend and was very kindly received.

There is a need to place boards on the R71 road from Tzaneen town to indicate where is your place and the last board to be big when one is supposed to turn left. It took me 2 hours to get to the place after long communication with someone at the reception who was not familiar with other neighbouring places.
The other guests were playing loud music and I had to go and ask a few times to turn it down and be considerate of other guests. I also tried to contact the owner without success.
Very nice small holding, lots of activity on the plot however once finished I think the place will be lovely.

The Stables is situated just outside of Tzaneen, a quick 10 minute drive to the CPD. It is very peaceful and quiet with all that is required for a short stay. On arrival was personally greeted and shown the unit and from time to time was asked if all was well. Highly recommended and I will make use of the establishment again.

Fully equipped according to the unit you choose. The cleanliness on the premises as well as the units themselves is remarkable. The attention to detail is immediately apparent. Little things that one appreciates and doesn't necessarily expect, fresh water in the fridge and packaged ice, were a welcome surprise! The daily cleaning is thorough. Unfortunately, we mainly spent the night, but the short time we were there during the day was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to stay at The Stables, you can feel and experience the care and pride with which the place is run.

We unfortunately had a lot of rain at the time of our stay, so it was a bit difficult getting in and out of the vehicles as their were no car ports for rooms 4 to 7. It was very peaceful, and the rusks in the jar were absolutely delicious.

Water pressure is too low and does not allow the gas water heater to start. We cut our stay short after 3 mornings of cold showers. Other than that the place is good.
We didn't sleep well. My aunt's bed creaked so much all night that none of us could sleep. My bed was also uncomfortable. We left early and will never come back.

The people are very nice and friendly. The unit was cleaned every day. Coffee, sugar and milk refilled every day. It's very peaceful with the most beautiful view of the valley and mountains. We have no negative comments. Exactly what we needed.
I just want to mention that Google Maps has taken us to a very different area. It is important that you notify Google Maps. At least, we had plenty of time to find the place after initially going wrong. We had your directions, but followed Google Maps.

This place was peaceful and quiet.
A wonderful (short) night's rest before we got on the road to Punda Maria at 3am. Coffee and delicious rusks are provided and you can leave keys without waking anyone up if you start your journey early. Clean, neat, nice big bed. Power points at both bedside cabinets for cell phones or alarm clocks.
Room is neat and comfortable. Porch is great for relaxing after a day's travel. We had a great stay and will use the accommodation again in the future.

Accommodation one of the best I have seen in a long time. Unfortunately, we suffered major damage to our caravan. On the way out, my husband drove out very slowly as the road is very bad. The bakkie and caravan were not completely through, then the car gate went. The gate does not have an eye, so if you no longer have the remote, you cannot stop it. My children saw it happen, they were still packing but they couldn't do anything to prevent it.
Very neat clean place. Tyson (owners dog) is very friendly. Terribly beautiful place inside and out, it was also incredibly nice and quiet. Just what you need if you just want to get away from the noise of the city/town. Thank you very much, we definitely had a great stay.
I was warmly welcomed and the place exceeded my expectations. I will most likely stay here again as I travel to the Kruger and enter/exit through Phalaborwa gate. One change I would enjoy is having a fridge/freezer in the room or outside to store food for self caterers going to Kruger.
The Stables has everything you need for a one night stop or for a long weekend getaway. The self-catering room was thoughtfully decorated with all the necessities. Clean, comfortable and cosy with a lovely uninterrupted view and safe parking makes the Stables a place to return to further explore the sights and sounds around The Hosts are friendly and welcoming and the whole experience was hassle free.
Located in quiet area. Hostess pays much attention to detail such as layout and decoration and service such as fresh milk daily for coffee, braai with coals always available and garbage can be cleaned daily. Guestbook also has many compliments.

We really enjoyed the beautiful, neat, fully equipped room. The peaceful atmosphere with birdsong in the beautiful nature was incredibly beautiful. We just wanted to stay there.
This place was amazing. So much effort was put into furnishing the places well. From the smallest to the biggest thing, everything has been thought of. We stayed in room 2, a self-catering room. It was wonderfully large and has everything you need for self-catering. When the owner heard that I wanted to make a stew, he immediately fetched me a steamer from his personal kitchen. The rest of our group stayed in room 4,5, and 6. These are their overnight rooms. The rooms are smaller, but not cramped and the decor is just as beautiful. The men were very impressed and had a great time. I highly recommend this place.
More than I expected. I had a great stay and hope to visit at least once a month for the next 6 months. The place was beautiful, clean and the facilities were very good. Great to be able to sit on the stoep after a day's hard work and watch the goats.

Had a great stay at the Stables. Room was neat and clean, kitchen had everything needed. The only minor frustration was the shower and gas geyser - getting the balance between hot and cold water. But other than that stay was very nice.

The new room I stayed in didn't have a TV or DStv at all, which was a bit strange for me as I do a lot of traveling and overnight stops. Also had a problem with the Wi-Fi signal. The room was also not a self-catering room.
Marina and André are wonderful hosts! Very clean and neat place. Cleaning service every day. We will book The Stables again but during winter! Tzaneen is very hot and stuffy during summer. We definitely recommend The Stables.
Our accommodation was very neat and rooms spacious. There is everything you need. Unfortunately we didn't meet Marina, but she called afterwards to see if everything went well. Her friend who helped was very friendly and helpful. The farm atmosphere is nice and quiet, especially with goats walking around nearby. We even heard lions roaring early in the morning. What a wonderful place in the heart of the bush. Not far from town, even though it feels as though you are in the middle of nature with antelope grazing. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and convenient. The friendly hospitality makes you feel at hom immediately. You almost feel sad by the time you need to pack. We won't even look for alternative accommodation in the area, we will book with them again. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, look no further thatn The Stables. Received a friendly welcome on arrival. The rooms are large, neat and very comfortable. A nice surprise is that the coffee provide is a good quality (Jacobs Kronung) brand. I definitely would recommend the Stables to friends.

It was a real pleasure to stay here, it is located close to Tzaneen and yet you feel you are on the farm. Andre and Marina are very pleasant and hospitable and you really don't lack anything in the units. The units are as advertised: plenty of space, neat and everything is in working order as one would wish. We will definitely stay here again. We really got more than we expected for the price.

Very nice accommodation, but unfortunately the units are too close to the main house - and any visiting or chatting of the host and lady with their own friends was very clearly audible. They are also busy with additions, which do not make a good impression. Our room's beautiful nice pillows (which we took off the bed when we went to sleep) disappeared from the rooms - so the rooms were no longer so impressive. It was quite strange to me. Televisions didn't work either. My mother-in-law, who was staying in the adjoining unit, wanted to watch television.
