Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are beautiful and clean and nice and warm.
Excellent stay at Critchley.
Although we could not enjoy the beautiful pond view from our front porch, the stay was wonderful. The staff were friendly, everything was perfectly neat, clean and conveniently located. Our bakkie's batteries died and we were left stranded at the accommodation. The staff immediately stepped in and helped with everything they could. Thanks to them we could quickly be on our way again. It is quiet at the accommodation and gives you the perfect chance for rest.

Great, thank you. Close to everything and we could walk. The gardens are also beautiful and we were also able to rent fishing rods there. The service in the restaurant is also good. Safe parking and it was cool. Next time we will try the spa too.

Nice stay. Hanging space and storage space for clothes are needed, as well as a box on which a suitcase can fit. The clothes rack is so-so, but too small for a large suitcase if you have to live out of it.

Lovely clean modern room situated in the heart of Dullstroom. Friendly helpful host. Perfect for a stopover. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants at the bottom end of the main road in Dullstroom. Fireplace, bar fridge, microwave, kettle. Front porch to chill on. Restaurant was closed at the time of visit. TV needs an arm to extend in order to be viewed from the bed. Not that we watched.

We stayed in a smaller unit. Perfect for a short stay. Clean, tidy and well appointed. Location is very good and there is secure parking. Area is large with a lovely pond as well as a swimming pool on the premises. However, the restaurant was closed, but there are many places to eat in the town.
Very clean and well-appointed apartment, if a little small. Couldn't get TV to work, but we were out most of the time, so didn't bother to report it. Very noisy in the apartment next door and only a thin wooden door between the two units, meaning every sound could be heard. Other than the noise, we enjoyed our stay.
Stay was enjoyable. However, it was disappointing that there was no TV or WiFi. The barn door on the bathroom does not stay shut, which does not allow for much privacy. It kept sliding open, and when we went to bed, we found that the sheets had not been changed as there was blood on the pillowcase and sheet.
As the Englishman would say, it's "confusing"! Photos are shown of a restaurant (as we prefer) on site, but the restaurant is closed. Photos of the dam are shown, but it's not at the dam at all. On the contrary, the room is so small that you have to change your mind outside.
The room was very, very cold! No insulation.
What a wonderful surprise. Everything was great, from the accommodation, food, service and view of the dam. Fantastic experience!

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Everything we needed was there. Until firewood was available if you wanted to light a fire. The location is also good and there is secure parking. I can recommend the place and will stay there again myself.
My two complaints were that the room had a funny smell, possibly a strong air freshener, that I found a bit cloying. The second was the total lack of WiFi in the room.
