The ideal holiday accommodation. Well equipped with all necessities away from home. Right across from the water park for the kids, by the beach itself. All shops are conveniently close enough but not in sight.
Truly a perfect "lock up and go" place. Literally opposite the surf school and a nice swimming spot in the Strand. Very very impressed with the cleanliness and that I was able to get a lock up garage for my car. The front door creaks a bit when you open it, but that's really the only negative point I can think of. If the weather in the Strand is nice, it is a perfect spot for beach lovers.

The stay and unit is definitely a 5/5 experience. The unit is clean and well stocked with everything we needed, and it is wonderful being so close to the beach. I do need to state that the person I was in contact with about the unit and who kept in touch with me for the duration of our stay deserves a 10/5 if possible. So wonderful and ready to help. There was a stressful situation at the unit (an unusual occurrence I've been assured), and the agent responded immediately and with the best help. That is on top of having recently had their own baby. Wonderful experience. Anyone staying here will have a wonderful time and be extremely safe for the duration of their stay.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walking across the road a few meters from the beach is definitely a plus. Beautiful and relaxing. The weekend was too short.
It's my third time coming to The Sunset Beach House. I'm in love with Apartment 4. It's the best spot and the space is just right. However, the garage had no parking for my vehicle. I hope that in the future they could work on that to accommodate vehicles for Apartments 3 and 4. But everything else is awesome. I think there is an inverter or generator because when there's load shedding, the power is still on, and that's awesome because you're not left in the dark.
Everything was perfect - thank you. Would recommend an upgrade on the braai area as one does not want to cook when on vacation.
We were 4 persons. The place is very clean and tidy with everything you need except a hairdryer. Water was warm, except for the day when the sun did not shine. There was power all the time, even though the power was off in town. Will stay there again anytime, thanks for such affordable accommodation. Maybe you can make arrangements ahead of time as to where the key is kept, it made us quite worried - we were there late Sunday afternoon. Furthermore - stunning place by the sea!

It was a great stay. Great hostesses. The only thing is we could not shower when we left, the water was off and the power was off the previous day for like 1 hour, but the lady was kind that assisted us.

The place is very small and cramped. On our first night, the shower's water is ice cold. Next day it was looked at and day 2 it was better. The kitchen faucet's water never got hot. The bathroom shower is very small and especially the face bath is very small and uncomfortable. On the morning of our check-out at barely 7, there was someone at the door who came to clean, but check-out is not until 10 o'clock and the wind blows under the door in a.g.v. big gap at the bottom of the door we have to fold the carpet and push it in there to block the wind.

When we arrived at the accommodation it was easy to find. The lady welcomed us kindly. The accommodation was very clean and tidy. Slept comfortably. No, it was very nice.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only 4 points can be improved on: no hangar rail in cupboard, no towel rail in bathroom, no key for safety gate and a dishcloth in kitchen would have been nice. However, that being said, we will definitely be returning to Sunset Beach House and absolutely recommend this accommodation to others. I only wish that we had known about Sunset Beach House before.
Kindly consider the following observations as constructive criticism and not complaints as it did not detract from our pleasant stay. 1) A damaged towel rail had not been replaced. 2) There were some hangers in the wardrobe but no rail to hang clothes. 3) Both the kitchen sink and bathroom basin taps are very loose and move around when being used.
We had a wonderful time at the sunset beach house, from the moment we arrived just loved the nice cosy, inviting feeling we felt on checking in the house was perfectly set, also clean and neat very relaxing atmosphere, fully furnished apartment, nice and quiet nights and refreshing mornings wake up with the sea breeze sitting on the stoep/balcony watching the people surfing and going for walks on the beach, very accommodated staff cant wait to visit sunset beach house again.

Should you love to walk, run, cycle, along the beach, or surf, then this is the place to stay. The Apartment No. 4 was clean, and very comfortable. Kholosa, keeps one well informed, and is always at hand should one need anything. Please note that should you be one who wants to cook up a storm, and eat in this flat, then there is no table or chairs to sit and eat at, yet the other units here do have them. Its sure is a beach lovers holiday flat!

The only suggestion, TV channels should be available as one does not always watch Netflix or YouTube, else everything else was perfect and the hospitality and customer service was amazing.
Outside lights too bright in the evening and the rooms are illuminated in the evening even though the lights are off. Would suggest that blackout curtains be installed.

We had a wonderful stay.
The one window in the main bedroom - double apartment 2 - cannot close properly and the wind was very strong so it was banging. We had to use my belt to tie it in the early hours. Was very draughty to sleep under an open window. My husband had to sleep on the single bed in the other bedroom on the second night. The duvet cover on that single bed was badly stained. The kitchen sink leaks into the cupboard below, so it is smelly and that is the only shelf to pack your foodstuff so our bags with goods got wet. There is also a foul smell in the toilet. The "opaque tint" on the glass front door is badly scratched so one can see through the house into the bathroom from outside. There seems to be a blind missing behind the door, which is actually essential.
The Sunset Beach House was value for money, short stay. Private and all basic services were provided.
It is winter in the Cape. There was only a thin duvet and 1 blanket on each bed. Since we flew from Bloemfontein and didn't arrive at the accommodation until 22:00 that evening, we didn't have anything else that was warm. I WhatsApped the contact person of the apartment and asked if we could please. could get more blankets, the message was read but they ignored me. The first I heard from them again was on Sunday morning to say we had to be out by 10h00.
It was much smaller than shown on website. We only got one toilet roll for the whole weekend and there was four of us so we had to go buy extra. The cutlery wasn't enough for four people. There was no iron and no extra blankets as shown on the pictures(and it was a cold weekend) on the website and it didn't state that we had to take our own, but like I said we improvised and still made the best of our stay. Not sure if we'll make use of The Sunset Beach House again though.
The place isn't big, but so worth the money, very close walking distance to the beach. Very clean, super friendly host, wifi connection is amazing and Netflix signed in a ready for the rainy days if you don't feel like going out. Would definitely book again.

We had a great stay, the place is clean and the unit we stayed in had access to the garage so we could sleep peacefully knowing that our rental car was safe throughout the evening. The sea is also right there and you can hear it and smell it inside the unit! A two minute walk and your toes are in the sand! The only thing that wasn't so nice is internet for the TV was just a bit slow, everything we watched on Netflix/Youtube had to pause more than once to buff which wasn't nice. Other than that it was a very nice happy thank you!

We had a nice time at home, and the place was very nice and tidy. We went with 2 small children, and the houses were nicely set up for them. It is very quiet, yet close to eating places and the beach and shopping centers.

The person involved in check in etc. is not the friendliest person and appears to treat it 100% as a business transaction than being concerned/interested about how you experience your holiday or stay with them which is usually appreciated when visiting establishments.
I did not stay in the apartment that was displayed on my booking page. Similar setup, but not the one I booked. Was a bit disappointing. It feels like some items were just not added, which can definitely improve the stay: Mats next to the bed (cold in Cape Town - guys, you are next to the beach, it's winter), bed lamps, at least one more heater (I heated each room then shut the door and then moved the heater), one extension cord. Hair dryer would be great.
Cabinets and lamps not next to the bed. No pan in kitchen. No daily room service. Agent and/or assistant are at the door every now and then. Problem with sink was there before arrival but only fixed a few days after arrival after the unit was flooded. There was a problem with the keys not being able to unlock the security gate.
The place is clean. Street is just very busy. The master bedroom's mattress is very soft and feels like you are rolling in the middle.
These units are not serviced. However, the agent and/or assistant hovers around the units every day and will find any reason to get into your unit whether you are there or not. They invade the guest's privacy.
The water was cold, no bed lamps in the rooms. A bucket with mop was left in the bathroom. There was no mirror in the 1 room. WiFi password was requested but we never received it.
I complained about the showerhead that wasn't working properly. They made no effort to fix it. The toilet had to be flushed a lot before if washed everything away. The rooms are very small. Luckily we were only two people so we could use the spare bedroom for our luggage. Not enough cupboards. The couch was quite smelly. Luckily we could use a garage, but they dumped their refuse bags so the smell was horrible. I will not recommend this accommodation to anyone. Jason, I think that is his name, made no effort to come and meet us.

We arrived the Friday and the check in was quick and efficient. The hostess met us and took us to our abode for the weekend. First impression was that it was clean and tidy. Very trendy decor and situated on the beach front. The name Sunset Beach is absolutely perfect as you can see the sunset from your door. Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. We were footsteps away from the beach and in close proximity to shops and other amenities. I will definitely recommend The Sunset Beach and I will surely return to experience those beautiful romantic sunsets.
This is definitely a place to recommend to anyone. The apartment is clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities. It is very centrally located for anyone who wants to do something in the Cape. The only thing is that there are not enough garages for the vehicles. However, there was no problem. Many thanks to Jason and his team. I will definitely stay there again.

The Sunset Beach House is by far the most comfortable and peaceful place I have ever rented. It was convenient for the children and the best because it is close to the sea water. The traffic is not even a problem.

We had a very nice stay. It was very clean and tidy. The place is well located. All criticism we had was that there were no closets.
Although the advertisement says that braai facilities and indoor parking are available, it actually works on a first come first serve basis. Luckily we were there early and could have enjoyed all the facilities, but I think it might just be less pleasant for other customers if they arrived later and the facilities were already taken.

Sunset Beach House is a very cute place. Neat, modern with everything you might need for a short or longer stay. It's within walking distance of the sea and the free WiFi is definitely a bonus. The only negative is parking, we parked along the street, but luckily in front of the apartment. Nothing happened to the car, but you're worried. We had a great time living there.
I had to take a downgrade as the person didn't know about my booking. Lucky there was a room available. It was an embarrassment. He said he will arrange a refund of the difference. I trust this will be effected speedily.
