So peaceful. Mandi, the host, was amazing from the enquiry right up until check-out. I highly recommend The Tiki Hut and we will return soon. It was within walking distance to the beach and the sunset was so magical. Wish we could've stayed longer. The unit has everything that is needed from a coffee plunger to a hairdryer. Thank you once again for a lovely stay, Mandi!
Everything was perfect except the bed. It was so hard that we didn't have a good night's sleep.
We had a very nice stay. Was very comfortable and spacious with a nice braai area which we enjoyed.
The place is very clean and very beautiful. Also is in a very good area and safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon and would very much like to book here again. Definitely worth the money. We will visit The Tiki Hut again anytime. The hostess was very friendly and helpful.

Our stay was comfortable, but some attention to the below details would have made it more pleasant: (1) Undercover braai area as it was pouring with rain. (2) The splash pool/braai area was in a common area. (3) Our neighbours above were very rowdy. (4) An information flyer with nearby restaurants/coffee shops/pharmacies would have been appreciated. (5) Lighting in the kitchen was very poor.
The photos are not a true reflection of the place. Minor upgrades are necessary inside. Replacement kitchen pieces.

Spacious beach feel, holiday stay. Everything you need is there, braai, kitchen utensils, splash pool. We had a great time!
My search began by finding pet-friendly accommodations. I liked the splash pool seeing as the house was a short walk from the beach and the accommodation looked good in the pictures. The house was neat and clean, the splash pool was lovely to cool off in and overall our weekend was very pleasant. The only "criticism" is that, under my filter's search, there was no mention of the fact that the garage has been converted into a 2nd unit and that the backyard and splash pool are actually shared. On the usual search it is mentioned. There is a safety "shutter" door by the rear sliding door, but no key was provided, so all that could be done was to lock the sliding door. No additional locks are mounted on the sliding door and the frame starts pulling out of the wall on the clip side. For someone from the city it was somewhat unsettling to have to go to sleep like this. The "criticisms" I have are minor things and did not detract from a wonderful weekend. We had a great time, the wifi stays on during power outages but the tv doesn't. It's a double-edged sword in my opinion because it would be nice to be able to watch TV while the power was off, but on the other hand it also led to some real quality time with my wife at a lovely place.
Needs a few extra lights for outside when there is loadshedding. Braai bakkie would be nice.

The outside braai area wasn't covered to keep out the rain, and on the evening of our arrival it rained and we had load shedding so were unable to prepare a meal.
Ideal for a group of people if all the rooms are booked. It's a nice quiet place but was not aware that more than 1 house uses the pool and garden.
Nice little place but could have been cleaned better before our arrival. Blankets had an unpleasant smell and microwave oven was dirty. It was a quiet visit and a nice place.

The house was very clean, tidy, everything described as in the photos advertised. Mandi the owner was amazing and very helpful, communicating when needed and booking in was a breeze.

Neat and tidy home with just about everything one requires/needs except for the television- was unable to get any channels, Netflix, YouTube or normal cable. When asked, got no response. It's something I would ask about next time I book.

Tiki Hut is in a very peaceful and quiet setting, just what we needed.
We were not advised we had to watch movies saved on a flash drive as there were no other viewing options. Pots and pans were in a shocking condition, very dirty. There were no cloths to wipe off countertops, a sponge was the only option. The unit itself was clean and comfortable.

We were not impressed with the location. The photos that appear on the booking agent's website are misleading in that they show lovely sea views, while the unit is in a residential area with no sea view.
The unit was well furnished. Generally clean. Issues that I will recommend to be reassessed are shower door frame not clean. Ceiling fan not properly cleaned. I will value a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. Wasn't sure if the shelf with the plant was meant for this purpose? A wall panel heater might be valuable and is cost effective. General question: What is the requirements considering the Covid19 pandemic for the cleaning of the unit and especially blankets?
Enjoy the clean beach and pools.
A few suggestions for improvement: Bathroom door inside handle screw missing get stuck. No key for security blinds towards braai. Indoor fireplace lack proper protection for the floor. There are no placemats or coasters to protect the white tops. TV no programs only USB uploaded series and old movies. It's an assumption to think everyone can stream everything.
Tiki Hut is well furnished and was clean and tidy. Fireplace made up for porch which offered no protection from rain.
Crockery, kitchenware very limited. Don't even have a barbecue. Bomba Braai was also still dirty when we arrived.

My husband and i treated ourselves to a long overdue weekend away in celebration of our Anniversary. What a treat! On arrival we were blessed with sparkling wine on ice and chocolate covered strawberries. Thank you Mandi, what an amazing surprise. Overall it was a time of absolute relaxation and rest. The kitchen could use a few extra utensils but otherwise the house is lovely, spacious and really has everything else that you need. I know that if we had the opportunity to go to Tiki Hut again... we would definitely take it! If you're considering it, do yourself a favor and make that booking.
We missed DStv, broom, mop, dustpan, dishes, more crockery, plastic bowls, normal cold drink glasses, tray, colander, and an iron and iron board. The pool was not cleaned, need better quality pots and pans. There is Wi-Fi but no cabling to connect devices and not communicated to bring along. Overall it is a lovely place, just needs a few more things. The owner came around but they did not communicate that.
