Pack a picnic basket and visit our 3 bird hides from where you can watch the kingfisher’s diving for fish. Attempt to land your own cob or grunter from the river on the boardwalk, or from the beach. Canoe along the river to the waterfall, and swim in the cool water in the pools below. The guest house is conveniently located within close proximity to restaurants and 3 hiking trails; the area is also a paradise for golfers, paragliders, cyclists and mountain bikers.

It was very nice. Good service.
The manager of The Tops Guest House, Tom, and his staff are very friendly. Room was tidy and his recommendation of a restaurant, Ilali, was excellent. The only negative of The Tops Guest House is that there are a lot of stairs and people with knee problems may not be able to get to the top easily. It's certainly not called The Tops Guest House for nothing.

Beautiful views of Wildernesses from The Tops. Be aware that you will have to climb up very steep stairs to get to your room. The accommodation itself is dated and in need of a serious upgrade. Beds are uncomfortable, and the linen and towels are old.
Tops is amazing, comfortable, amazing views, central, close to restaurants, close to the beach, facilities are comfortable.
Tom and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The view from the room was breathtaking. To top it off there was a lorie eating out of my wife's hand.

The view is spectacular and the breakfast absolutely delicious! The size of the bedroom however was a bit smaller than what we had anticipated and unfortunately, we struggled to sleep due the hardness of the bed. Other than that, very friendly staff and overall a great stay!
It is one of the best places I have been to.
They need to accommodate their guests during load shedding, eg a generator for light on the stairs and the baggage lift. the room backs to the kitchen and we could hear the kettle boiling and people moving around. Not cool.

The Tops has the most beautiful 90-degree view over the sea, the river and the town. There you can just sit and relax.

The friendly owners welcome you with a map and information pack of the area. From my point of view the pluses: Each room is private as if the only one; high up against the head amidst bird sounds you sit on your own little balcony and look out over the sea; the included breakfast is painstakingly prepared and is a special treat; the room is spotlessly clean and tidy and all the windows bring nature inside. Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs to enjoy this beautiful place, and luckily there is a lift that comes with you and will be used for your luggage. Would love to vacation here!
I've been treated like a queen since I got there until I left. Tom and Magda are a fantastic couple, have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and the breakfast was delicious, thank you. The location and views are breathtakingly beautiful - one can never get tired of it! It's close to everything you need, the room is beautiful, clean, neat and comfortable. I'm definitely going back!

Mooie,ruime schone kamers met een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Er goede WiFi in het appartement. Het ontbijt is goed. Tom en Magda zijn zeer vriendelijke mensen, die de B&B met veel plezier runnen.
Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the deck was delicious with different birds. Stairs are style and my husband has a back problem, but luckily there is a lift too. Would appreciate just a tea towel and tea towel in the kitchenette. Will definitely visit there again.

The Tops Guest House was definitely worth every penny! Nice view, comfortable, quiet, close to everything you need. Walking distance from the shops and restaurant even with small children. You will be able to walk to the sea, but with small children we drove, it's literally only about 1 km. Thanks for a nice visit on a nice stoep!
