Best place to sleep. I always sleep there and the food is great.
Lovely spot to stay over in Elliot. Large, fenced, grassy area for the dogs to run in. The property also has a restaurant and coffee shop. The host offers breakfast and dinner which can be left in your room - a saving grace if you're arriving in Elliot later at night when all the shops are closed. Will stay here again on our frequent drives between Western Cape and KZN.
The accommodation was an absolute relaxing, peaceful and luxurious haven after a day of road travel. Our host met us at the gate upon our arrival and had our delicious evening meals waiting for us in our rooms. Our host was most accommodating when, at short notice, I changed the bedding requirements due to a change of guest. The kitchenette was well-equipped and the coffee station was well stocked, including fresh milk and rusks. The rooms and parking area, which were situated alongside a forest of trees, were quiet and secure. After a restful night's sleep, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and coffee at the quaint coffee shop shed.
Lovely. Easy to find, comfortable, with everything we needed, including plenty of space for the dogs to stretch their legs. We also managed to order a delicious dinner ahead of time - very helpful when arriving later because everything in town was closed.

After a long drive on the road, it was so nice there. We also ordered dinner, we could only rest when we stopped there. Everything was perfect, beds to kitchen and bathroom.
The Tree House was the perfect stopover on our travels back to Durban. Perfectly situated and very comfortably furnished. Nice touch to have meals delivered to our room.

Tree House Guest House is as good as it gets in Elliot. The town itself is not in good shape, but this accommodation is clean and tidy, with everything you need. Should we visit Elliot again, we will stay there again.
Lovely setting with friendly staff and a cosy room for our stopover en-route to the Karoo. The adjoining coffee shop provided delicious meals without the need to drive anywhere.
I was not at all happy with the mattresses. It is mushy and the bed on the right side can be felt. So neither of us slept well. The rest of the unit was very clean and tidy.
The shower in the unit did not work.
Halfway from Durban to Cape St Francis. Very comfortable, self-catering, with everything you need. Secure behind locked gates etc.

The accommodation was ok. It was a bit annoying when we arrived, we had to rush to get the kids' dinner done and shower before loadshedding as they don't have water during loadshedding. I requested the single beds to be pushed together as a king-size but they left the linen on as single beds, so there was a gap between the beds. The bathroom door kept falling off its rails. We couldn't find the coffee shop.
Our overnight stay was mediocre. The venue is overpriced for the space and probably because there are not many decent options in Elliot. The road leading to the Guesthouse is not great.
The Tree House Coffee Shop and Guesthouse received us kindly around 17:00 after contacting us via Whatsapp around 08:00. Megan sent us a menu, as well as a pin drop etc. The units are very neat and contain everything you need for self-catering. We will definitely stay there again. Note, the road to the guest house is rough, if you were to drive a car. Potholes and tar surface that no longer exist. At least it's not far.

Located on the edge of Elliot but still within walking distance of the town. Fantastic menu to choose from for both dinner and breakfast, what more could you want. Spacious room with everything to be comfortable.
It's a good place to stay if you looking for a decent place to stay over when visiting the neighboring areas. Clean, neat, and safe cottage. The owner is a lovely welcoming lady. Housekeeping was provided every day with fresh milk and rusks delivered. Had an unlimited Wifi connection. Have all the essential amenities.

The accommodation we stayed in was in desperate need of a good renovation.
We recommend this as a happy landing place after a long drive. The unit is spacious and well appointed and very adequately equipped. The bed is very comfortable, the shower hot and the space roomy. My best part was sitting on the stoep every opportunity I could. Could have been sitting in the woods. Birdsong, wind blowing in trees, nature at its best and at night a Camelot experience. It rained all night.

The place had everything a traveller needs to rest over on a long journey. Very kind and helpful hostess.
Although there is no problem with the accommodation, the road from the main road to the units is in a very bad condition. Maybe just indicate the business hours of the coffee shop on the menu in the unit. Not many places to get food after hours. Turnover.
This was the perfect overnight stop after a long day of driving. Don’t be dissuaded by the ‘roughness’ of the neighbourhood as it is very secure. Meals can be preordered and delivered to your room so that you don’t have to go out again to try find. Cottages look very new. Coffee shop was also a great stop on way back for tea, scones and a toilet stop (not much else in Elliott). Will definitely be back.
