Wow, accomodation clean and relaxing.
The booking was very convenient and easy. The place is easy to find. Room was neat and clean with everything needed for an overnight stay.
The environment is truly wonderful. The staff were so friendly and I had a great meal.
The rooms are very nice and tidy. We slept well and were able to visit the coffee shop. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this to anyone any day. Thank you very much.

Braai facilities were missing and would be a plus. With load shedding, they were not prepared to turn on the generator for full time, as a guest on a trip one is not equipped to do without power. Mattresses very hard and uncomfortable.
We slept over at The Venue on the way to the Cape and it's probably a good stop for something like this. Place was well furnished although personally I would just use a vacuum cleaner on the couch to clean between the cushions a bit but it wasn't a "deal breaker" just a personal suggestion.

The place is made for weddings and their guests. Yes there are plates etc. with practically everything you need for self-catering, but e.g. no drying cloths or dish soap. The fridge had never been cleaned in months and the dishes were all half-washed in the cupboards. I've stayed at places for half the price with no stars that are 100 times better equipped and cleaner. It was my last night of a wonderful holiday that I traveled almost 5000 km across the country, but my biggest disappointment. For weddings it's perfect because you eat in other places, but here you don't even have a table inside or outside. Very impractical for someone who is really looking for self-care.
Everything was as we expected. It is located on a beautiful farm and our breakfast was a treat.
We were very impressed with The Venue. We're not going to use any other place again. Thank you for the hospitality, delicious food and lovely accommodation - neat and tasteful. Definitely value for money.

Very nice place to stay at, would have liked WiFi in the self-catering rooms.
Very ideally located between Hartswater and Jan Kempdorp. I had a great stay, would recommend to anyone. I would have preferred WiFi only in the room.
A caretaker was there to check us in, but the restaurant / coffee shop was closed until after we left. There was little to no notice given of the closure, either while booking or before arrival.

The Venue is a beautiful venue!
We were so looking forward to our stay with you - but were very disappointed. We didn't sleep at all where we expected. We had to sleep in a plot house and share it with complete strangers. We were not informed about it in advance at all. At the time of purchase, we also had to walk through the corridor to the bathroom (after the advertisement said they were en-suite rooms). Note: with other people who share the house with you. The bathroom door wouldn't open or close either. They informed us that you should only use a little aggression. We are really very disappointed! First morning at breakfast we also had to ask for butter/margarine with our toast. Filter coffee was also scarce - you couldn't have a second cup. I would recommend that you are notified if accommodation is changed. The dirt road to the plot house is also very poor - I don't know how guests with cars will drive it? Especially if you don't know you're going to drive that far on a dirt road as The Venue is actually right next to the road.
Very neat venue, the rooms are clean, and the food is phenomenal.
It's a nice and safe place to sleep.
