42 guests' feedbackSo pleasant. Frans is a friendly, helpful host. The venue is ideally situated. Well furnished, comfortable with all basic amenities.
We had a very nice stay.
We had a wonderful time. The location is perfect, the accommodation is perfect and thoroughly thought through. I will definitely recommend staying here. The pictures do not do it justice. What a beautiful place!
The views were amazing! It had everything one would need for a home away from home. I highly recommend this stay for any local travellers as well as tourists!
Everything we needed.
Lovely spacious home. Protected verandah with braai facility and stunning views of the mountain. Well equipped and warm, comfortable beds.
It was a relaxing stay for both you and me. The service by both the host and owner is fantastic.
Everything we needed and so much more - incredible view of the mountain - plus no load shedding - because the place has an inverter and solar panels - Engen garage, shops, and restaurants in walking distance. It's also a pet-friendly place.
The Views is a gorgeous, well-designed getaway home with the perfect balance between a central kitchen, lounge and patio, surrounded by private bedrooms. The decor is exquisite - clearly a well-loved home and perfectly maintained. Spotlessly clean and a generous supply of toiletries and cleaning supplies were provided. Right across the road from the supermarket and a lovely cafe, convenience at its finest - and yet still so peaceful! Lovely outdoor areas to sit and soak in all the peace of Greyton! The perfect host - friendly, professional and organised. Thank you!
Such a beautiful place. So well equipped with everything you need. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. Have solar which makes load shedding bearable. Frans is an absolute star in dealing with all our queries. The views are worth every cent we paid.
We were blown away by the attention to detail and luxury of the stay. We did not need anything more. Fully equipped kitchen and amenities. The place was simply perfect, we felt safe and we all raved about it. Met the owners and they were so hospitable. Fran, the host, was so warm and charming. Communication from Ruan was super.
Don't be fooled by it being in the town's center. It's a tranquil place. Wonderful for a big group as it has lots of "nooks".
We were there as a family in the winter. It's a lovely holiday home for young and old. Frans immediately made us feel at home and was always available to help. There is WiFi that works, and we were not aware of loadshedding! One of the nicest guesthouses we have ever been to. Unbeatable location. At the front door is the town center with its supermarkets and excellent restaurants, all within walking distance, and at the back you are immediately in nature with an incredible view of the Riviersonderendberge and there is plenty of cycling space for little ones. Kitchen equipped with only the best of everything and house and apartments very tasteful. Photos do not do justice to the ambience of "The Views".
Everything we needed.
A return visit, and another lovely stay! The location is amazing, right in the centre of the village, the accommodation is superb, and Frans is a fabulous host/support.
Frans, our host, was an absolute darling. Quiet and comfortable place. Just missing a swimming pool for the youngsters.
It was awesome, peaceful. Would just recommend air conditioning for the rooms and the pool area to be sorted out.
We had a great stay here but the decor was a bit overwhelming in both colour and volume, less can be more. The nearby superette was super handy and early morning croissants with breakfast were a treat but we did feel watched by the guys hanging around the garage on our arrival and when we headed out to explore. We loved Greyton and enjoyed being in the heart of the action but on busy weekends it may be a bit too busy.
Fantastic stay.
The Views is absolutely gorgeous, with art dripping off the walls and every room spacious and comfortable. We arrived hoping for a quiet weekend away. We left feeling rested and inspired!
Frans is lovely (the manager). The house is fully furnished and very nice and clean with everything you need. Comfortable fire pit and plenty of space for all your guests ─ we were a group of 12, but still comfortable. The facilities are perfect. Would love to stay there again.
The actual views at The Views are amazing. Lovely gardens and beautiful mountains to look at in the morning. Thank you to our welcome, host Frans. He was available for anything we needed. Thanks to Stef as well for all her help with making this holiday trip special.
Feels like home, beautiful art, nice view.
House was freezing cold, I would definitely recommend adding some gas heaters or something. The open fireplace doesn't warm the house. The rest of the stay was amazing.
As a family, children, grandchildren, great-grandmother, we decided to spend the long weekend in December in Greyton. The Views was able to accommodate our group of 10. Greyton is incredibly beautiful, the weather cooperated and the place is tidy, particularly well equipped with everything you need. We wanted to spend most of the time at The Views.
What a wonderful time we had at this house! There were 12 of us and there was more than enough space for everyone. The house is beautifully and extremely conveniently located as it is within walking distance of all the places in town that we wanted to visit. It also has the most beautiful view! We will visit there again soon.
What a beautiful place. And so generous. We were 12 people and there is more than enough room for everyone. The town is also special with wild horses that walk through the town as if it were their right. It was the best place to celebrate a family birthday.
The house had everything you need and more. Only concern was the front two rooms experienced quite a bit of noise from the street in the evening.
The most beautiful house, great time in Greyton.
The Views in Greyton, offers a most comfortable and eclectic space for bigger family groups to spend a bonding breakaway, both indoors and outdoors. All the necessary facilities are provided, just bring food. If you do forget something, there’s a store a hop away as well as many deli-like dining choices. We visited on the cusp of winter. It was comfortable with enough bedding and welcomed electric blankets. The indoor fireplace needs upgrading to make a winter stay smoke-free. Finally, Marion is an attentive, responsive, welcoming host, and was gracious enough to overlook a broken glass. Stay at least 3 nights!
Would have liked a barbecue. It was a very nice place to visit.
The house is located near the OK Minimarket and petrol station so it is very busy and noisy. The view from the house is also now obstructed due to a large steel structure on the yard.
This house accommodates a larger group (we were 10 people) in a spacious and comfortable way, with everything you need on hand. Marion & Steffi went out of their way to be hospitable.
This venue ticks all the boxes especially in terms of location. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Super house with everything one needs for a relaxing stay. We will definitely be back! Excellent outside entertainment area with a patch of grass for the kids to play. What would make it even more superb, was if the pond in the back was turned into natural rock pool for swimming!
We had a great time. The fact that it's pet friendly is a huge plus. Just wish there was a built-in braai on the stoep.
Great overnight stay, friendly service, only need to take your own clothes.
The house is fantastic! Location and the view is really great. We had a great weekend and will definitely book the house again if we go to Greyton again!
See stars.
We will definitely revisit.
Very stylish and comfortable accommodation. It felt like we were staying in a friends house and did not at all feel like it was a place that was rented out regularly. The house is very central and therefore within walking distance of everything in Greyton. Although the house is on a busy street (diagonally opposite the town's petrol station and very good supermarket), it didn't bother me as the terrace with a beautiful view of the mountains is on the other side of the house. We would love to stay here again!
The Views certainly lives up to its name. The outlook towards the mountain from the back garden is stunning. The stoep is also extremely comfortable and perfect for braaiing, which we did on both nights! For the seven of us there was plenty of space. We could sit comfortably around the dining room table inside, the table outside and on the awesome couch inside. The house (kitchen in particular) is so well equipped, you have everything you need right there.
