Had a wonderful stay. Room was nice and clean and was cleaned again next day. Everything you need in the room. Staff friendly and very considerate towards our 2 busy boys. Breakfast was also delicious.
They were efficient and professional. Breakfast was fresh and good. They were willing to advise on activities that we could do. However, they need to get a new fridge. It's not cold enough. As much as the images were what we got, I just wish their linen was whiter. We found hairs in the sheets.

The Loerie room was neat but very congested for a family of 4. Breakfast was well catered for and staff are friendly and welcoming.
Might have to seriously consider putting a small bar fridge in the family rooms. The only problem is that there is no water at the time of load shedding, which means that toilets cannot flush.
You simply walk everywhere or rent a ride in town and go explore the forest.
Problems with other guests who made noise until 2am the next morning.

Friendly reception and helpful people. Centrally located. Nice mountain in the background, but no room overlooks it. Cute playroom for the kids. Their idea of a vegetarian breakfast is scrambled eggs and mushrooms, no other options. The cat that lives there is cute for animal lovers and children, but he just jumps on the tables and chairs while you eat; not cute and not at all good for people with allergies. The "Honeybadger" room where we stayed has no privacy, the door is made of glass without a curtain so everyone looks into one's room all the time and sharp lights shine in there at night. The generator is apparently not used in the evening, because apparently no one is there to turn it off - no other aids such as flashlights or candles are provided and the water does not work either. Not during load shedding, so you're on your own. With the above in mind, it is actually quite expensive.
Lovely overnight stay with friendly and hospitable reception.
We felt very welcomed and accomodated since we were travelling with young children. The host was very helpful. All in all reasonably priced place with all the basics covered.
The Village Lodge is centrally located, everything is within walking distance. It is very neat and clean. Staff are very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Blissful week in the village. Home away from home. Top notch hospitality. Personal attention and warm hospitality of Sophie and Debbie. Nothing commercial about the Lodge. Perfect tranquil setting and was a good base to come home to in the evenings from visiting the surrounding sites. Breakfast was served with care and passion - a lot of bigger establishments can learn from them what client services are all about. Arrived as a stranger left as a friend. Magic.
Wonderful place with very charming hosts. The premises are spacious with large patio and sitting area and a very well kept garden. We felt at home the moment we came there and even booked one more night because we liked The Village Lodge so much. Once we are in the area again we will return to The Village Lodge - for sure!
Very nice lodge with very friendly staff and hostesses! My credit card holder had fallen out of my pocket in the evening in the common area. Was found by the staff and the next morning, when I hadn't even realized that I had lost it, nervously brought it back. I travel a lot and such honest staff are rare.
We were very well received and the staff were very hospitable. We would really recommend it to anyone wanting to stay there. The stay was excellent. The staff gave us a lot of information about the attractions. We will definitely visit there.
The place is well located, but we expected more. Breakfast was just pathetic. Couldn't sleep because of the water pump going on and off all night.
