The tranquility and seclusion from the world even though we were a stone's throw from the town center with all its hustle and bustle. Perfect for when you want to switch off and recharge your batteries.
The room was just as advertised. I especially enjoyed the location, easy access to the village and seafront, everything of interest is in walkable distance. Felt extremely safe and the room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at The Vishuis. It's tastefully decorated, has plenty of space for two, was clean and very well stocked with quality linen, appliances, etc. Location is perfect if you are looking to be close to the heart of Hermanus. Our host Marc was a perfect gentleman and clearly pays attention to detail. Communication was faultless. I thought this was great value for money. Wouldn't think twice about going back.

There were nice luxuries like a big basket full of wood for the fireplace, and good coffee. It's really nicely dressed up with nice artwork. It was 'home from home'. And close to the nicest coffee shops.
The Fish House is very centrally located, within walking distance of all the restaurants, shops and the seafront. It is beautifully luxurious with an incredible collection of artworks, very neat and spacious and in a safe environment. The visit was amazing and Marc made me feel very welcome.
I can highly recommend the guesthouse. And that fireplace is really such an asset in the winter. Beautiful art on the walls, the most beautiful bed linen and an XL shower. What a wonderful experience among all the lavender on your front porch.

Everything is beautiful and neat. The owner received us very kindly and made us feel at home. The accommodation is very central and within walking distance of the town centre. However, I missed a microwave for takeaways and to heat milk for my tea.

We had a lovely weekend in the Fish House. The owner was incredibly hospitable and even came through late on the Friday night when we had a problem. Terribly interesting, beautiful decor. Comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything one might need. The location is ideal ─ we could walk to the restaurants and walk to Woolworths. It's right in the middle of Hermanus so you can park your car and forget about him. Will definitely be back.
The Vishuis impressed us - stylish, neat with a cute courtyard and splash pool. The owner, Marc, is extremely friendly. The room was very spacious and neat and there was a Nespresso machine! Five minutes walk from the old harbour and all the nice restaurants. Would love to stay here again!

Really nice accommodation, centrally situated but as peaceful a being in the country! Very convenient to walk to shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Marcus was a great host, waiting on our arrival and taking us through all the necessary need to know information about our stay. The accommodation is very clean, tidy, and bright, with all the necessary amenities.
The Vishuis was very neat and the reception was lovely. The lady that received us was available 24 hours, should we have any problems. The setup is very beautiful and peaceful. We will recommend that anytime.

The Vishuisie was a pleasant surprise! Spacious, comfortable and within walking distance of eateries, shops and cliff paths. Marc is an excellent host who goes out of his way to make guests feel at home. The fireplace in the room also made for lovely cozy evenings during the cold, wet evenings.
