The main bedroom comprises of a queen-size bed while the second has a double bed. Two bathrooms are available, 1 with a bath and the other with a shower. An open-plan main interior features the kitchen leading into the lounge, which in turn leads out to the balcony. The fully equipped kitchen with smooth granite-topped counters and 2 bar stools includes a kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer as well as an oven and hob. The lounge with a 3-seater leather couch and 2 single-seating chairs feature a large flat-screen TV with a DVD player and DStv bouquet.
The balcony will treat guests to the fantastic view with a dining table and benches supplied, perfect for outdoor dining or a relaxing sundowner as guests admire the gorgeous sky. Secure parking is available in a garage basement for 1 vehicle. Overall security is available with the building being an access-controlled complex. Internet access is available as well.
The coastal suburb of Bloubergstrand is a superb holiday destination with various establishments within walking distance of the apartment complex, some of them even facing the beachfront. 2 Shopping complexes are a short drive away. Bloubergstrand ideally offers guests a convenient drive south to the Cape Town Centre while northwards lies the luscious West Coast, which features numerous charming towns and beautiful nature reserves.

The unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the balcony is really a bonus over other places on the beach. We each sat outside (with sparkling wine) and even if the wind blows, the balcony is so sheltered that it doesn't bother. We really enjoyed the place. If the floor is a bit warm during the summer, just turn off the underfloor heating. I think this is a bonus for winter.
We were only in the Cape for a few days to visit family. Very comfortable and clean accommodation. Sorry there are no cleaning services.
Power outages not website's fault. Would just suggest that there might be lamps or other appliances available if power outages happen again. Just add to the ad what floor the apartment is located on. It will also help a lot for when bookings are made. Just check for leaks in bathrooms before guests arrive. Otherwise it was a pleasant time.
Absolutely stunning view and centrally located. Just a pity that it takes ages for deposit to be paid back.
Put block-out liners in the curtains, it gets bright early.
Neat and well equipped apartment with clear view of Table Mountain, sea and Robben Island. Excellent security. Comfortable beds and good water pressure. Within walking distance of places to eat.
Our accommodation at The Waves 1002 was definitely one for the books, beautiful view, centrally located, neat and clean. Will recommend them for sure.
Very neat and well equipped apartment. All problem we had was that the oven did not work and Blouberg Holiday Accommodation did not fulfill their promise to have it fixed.
We had a great time staying here! Beautiful view and very close to the beach. There was indeed construction on the same floor, but we were notified and they only started cutting and carpentry after 09:00 in the morning.
The stove did not work at all - there was a note on the plug "Please don't switch on". There was a terrible, terrible stench (which smelled like urine) throughout the flat and the fridge for the duration of our stay. We had to put out orange peels and spray air freshener all over the place just to try to limit the smell. If we did not open the windows all day, the smell was unbearable when we got home at night. I’m not sure what this caused, but this must be looked into to avoid further negative rating. We just feel that the above could be sorted out before our arrival, as it was not something that happened during our stay and the cleaning staff could address the issues with your offices beforehand. I did however, during the phone call, confirmed that the flat was clean and that all is in order, but thought that the smell would disappear after a while as it was just because the flat was not used in a while - but unfortunately that was not the case. No concierge was available to take us to the flat – as per the advert. No allocated parking – as per the advert and as a result of that, we had major damage to our car door which was caused by a car parked next to us. When this was reported to try to find the owner of the car, we were informed that we must contact the Body Corporate of The Waves directly and that Blouberg Holiday Rental cannot get involved or assist. We have booked several holiday flats in Bloubergstrand during the past few years, but unfortunately, The Waves 1002 will definitely not be recommended to friends and family.

My review may be ambiguous because the apartment is perfectly located but unfortunately not too clean. In addition, we feel the unit should not have been rented as the unit next door is being worked on and we had to flee every morning for the noise which started at 8am and stopped at 5am, a drilling and chopping was not what one expects didn't if you wanted to relax quietly that's why you go on holiday.
The unit is well equipped with a very nice view. The only problem is returning the keys if you leave early. It's not very safe at the center to just leave the keys.
