The house can comfortably accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms in the main house, one of which is en suite with a shower. The other 2 bedrooms have access to a separate bathroom with a bath, and there is also a toilet upstairs. The fourth bedroom is an outside flat with its own bathroom with a shower, a small fridge, and a microwave. Two of the bedrooms have a king-size bed in each, 1 bedroom has a queen-size bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds.
The house also comprises an open-plan living area and braai area upstairs, with lovely views of the sea. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a stovetop, an oven, and a microwave, as well as a dishwasher for convenience. The kitchen also has a breakfast counter with bar stools. This unit also comes equipped with a washing machine and the house has its own private access to a peaceful beach where there are no public footpaths and is not far from the main swimming beach at Witsand.
There is WiFi available at the house.
We have installed inverters for when there is loadshedding, so WiFi and basic electricity needs will be met.

Best vacation yet. Beautiful place and very friendly service. I can wholeheartedly recommend The Whale Place. Thank you very much for your kindness. You will definitely see us again, but next time for much longer. It is really very peaceful, especially if you need a nice rest.
Beautifully located, large, well-equipped unit. Suited for a longer stay by a family/friends. Magnificent views from the verandah with easy access to the beach.

Very peaceful, extremely comfortable and spacious with modern fittings and stylish finishes. The Whale Place has the most beautiful sea view and is right on the beach. Tania, our host,'s service was friendly, helpful and outstanding. Will definitely book this accommodation again should we visit Witsand again.
Even the atrocious weather did not detract from The Whale Place. The view was superb! Very comfortable stay with everything you need. Thank you for the most friendly and warm welcome. The direct access via the pathway down to the sea was a big plus.

The Whale Place pleasantly surprised us. Extremely comfortable, spacious with modern fittings and stylish finishes. Everything works, very safe and the best sea view right on the beach. Convenient boardwalk down to the beach. Tania's service was friendly and extremely helpful. Value for money.

Weather was bad, but the place was great!
Very nice place, especially if someone loves fishing, you literally walk out of your room door to the path and you are on the sand, views from your balcony are incredible. The people from the website were incredibly helpful and friendly.
All too short is a window washer, window scraper. South-east is quick to attack.
Nothing between you and the beach. Feels like a private bit of Witsand beach. House is much larger than we thought it would be and had all the features/amenities you would have at home. Even the braai is so well constructed that there is no possibility of smoke. 6 out of 5 if I had that option on the review!

Our Easter weekend in Witsand was incredibly nice and peaceful. A well-deserved break from the normal routine in the city and town and Witsand was the best medicine. Will definitely visit The Whale Place again.
Very nice place to stay, and is on the sea as the photos show, not zoomed in like many other places.
We were very comfortable and the home is equipped with a balcony and then braai areas on the back of the home for the time there is wind and you want some shelter. Easy access to the beach and definitely a place to return to.
The whole experience was fantastic. It was so beautiful, so well looked after, clean, tidy, beautiful house and view on the sea. It was just amazing and the hostess, Tania was wonderful.
This is the most beautiful, neat place with the best location I have ever stayed in by the sea! Absolutely everything is there, good quality and nothing is missing, we were hopelessly short, next time we will just come much longer! Open the front door and everyone says wow! Lay on your bed and watch the waves break, stand in the well-equipped kitchen and watch the waves break, quickly go down to the golden beach and feel the waves break, big wow! Special place, friendly people and the nicest home.
It was cosy and relaxing, I liked the fact that they had washing machine and tumble dryer but there were no washing lines though. I did also not enjoy the fact that the neighbours use the path that leads to the sea as a shortcut they come on to the grass section to use the path, which made it not so private because I could not always open my curtains completely due to people using the shortcut. But other than people stepping over to use our shortcut it was a relaxing, cosy holiday place that I would definitely recommend to people.
Will spend time there again, the nature is breathtaking and we really enjoyed the visit. Many thanks to the hostess, she was always helpful and made us feel very welcome.
There were a few bugs that we reported to the agent there, which will need attention.

We were a bit apprehensive about the mixed accommodation in the resort, but once The Whale House's door opens, you don't know about your neighbours. It would be hard to find a better location with a better view. Right on the sea. The wonderful house is luxurious, tasteful, modern, excellently equipped, painstakingly neat and clean, with a surprise here and there. More than one family can have a great time here. There's even a washing machine and a freezer, not to mention all the bathrooms. It was quite cold and wet, but still we could hardly get away from the lovely porch, from where we could smooch into whales. Plus more than one braai spot. Just remember there are stairs, but my 81 year old companion had no trouble with them. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise. Hope to come again soon.
But toilet seat loose, shower floor could be cleaned, better needs blinds at front door, front door and window have no blinds and this faces street. Limits privacy in 2 bedrooms otherwise kitchen well stocked with all utensils and a great view.
I would recommend the Whale Place anytime. It was clean and tidy with a fantastic view! Tania welcomed us with open arms and made us feel very welcome. Definitely value for money.
The area is very safe with the most beautiful view of the sea. Ideal for a break from busy life and we will definitely go again.
