Traveling with our 2 dogs we could not have asked for anything better! Our hosts could not do enough for us.
Everything was exactly as we expected. Marinda is a lovely hostess and received and welcomed us personally. A lot of attention has been paid to detail and recycled materials have been used to give it a lovely farm feel, without anything feeling cheap or out of place. The accommodation is a 5 minute walk from supermarkets, a liquor store, a laundromat, takeaways, a biltong shop and a 10 minute walk from the main beach, with places to eat, drink and shop on the edge of the loveliest bay in the country . The only light, negative comment is that there is a lot of noise around the house from early on, which didn't really make sleeping in late possible. We will definitely stay here again.

It was our honeymoon and we were surprised by Marinda to upgrade us to the Cottage with the foot bath as a gift. The place was so nice clean and vintage with a bit of Southwest to it. Marinda went out of her way to make us feel so welcome and everything she did extra to make everything so nice and special, the rusks, the chocolate, oh yes, and the Guvas in the fridge with cream. Will definitely visit The Yard again.

Marinda and her husband are very pleasant and friendly. Their little dog Nina quickly made friends with our little dog and we had a great stay. Meals outside on the stoep are delicious. The beach and cute shops are very close.

The outside of the house is well planned, but the ceiling height of 2.3 m causes the living room and kitchen area to become unbearably hot. The bedroom, kitchen, living room, shower, bath (which may not be used) and toilet are separated with curtains. If you use the toilet, you have to chase the people visiting out of the house. Because of the weather, two of the three nights it was not pleasant to use the outdoor barbecue. The braai inside the house intended for inclement weather was closed for use. Because of the scrap iron and construction debris on the site, parking was also very difficult. There was air conditioning in the bedroom. The hot water system had to be turned off every day. I don't know why because there is no saving about it. No TV was available.
