Although not requested, a camping cot was provided for the baby. Best equipped kitchen. Provision made for load shedding. Lovely outside lapa with bar area and fridge. Will definitely go back again.
Highly recommend Thekwane House for large groups. We were a family of varying ages from 2 years to 90 years and it was suitable for everyone. Clean and exceptionally well kitted out. The pool and Jacuzzi were also spotless. Fani is a fantastic host and Wilamina was on call to assist us when needed, she is incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic stay there.
We saw many animals, literally walking around the family house. It is peaceful and no one bothers you. There is a maid who came to clean for us every day and made sure anything we were looking for was sorted with just a phone call away. We will definitely come here again with all our friends.

We were 13 people all together and there was more than enough space for us all. The lapa area is a winner, so outdoor fellowship around meals was perfect.
The structure is beautiful, but the furnishing needs an upgrade. The pool was green. All furniture inside the house and by the pool is old and worn out. The bedroom has old carpets. For a self-catering establishment, the little kitchenette was cluttered with no food preparation space. On its own, it's not worth the price. But when you consider the location, the bush and the animals make up for the price.
Fannie is the best. Had a great time, would definitely go back and Sarah is so sweet and helped with everything, enjoyed my stay there.

It was wonderful to be able to see the game drinking through the fence at the small water hole. The staff are very friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. Many thanks to Fanie and Bodwell, we will definitely be stopping by again.
We had a great time and our reception and stay at Thekwane Lodge was everything we expected. All that bothered me a little was the traffic on the main road that runs not too far past it. We can recommend Thekwane to anyone looking for a bushveld experience. The lodge is centrally located and the entire Dinokeng park is easily accessible.
The music at neighboring lodges and neighboring generator was disturbing at night. DStv is advertised but only Openview is available.
Please fix the chimney of the communal kitchen. Was very bad as all smoke went into the kitchen. Unfortunately, we had guests playing loud music next to our place. When we asked the groundskeeper to tell them to stop it did not happen. We had to message the owner. When the generator is on we can't hear any wildlife sounds.
Everything was how we expected, we were very happy there.
We had a very nice stay. Fanie is very helpful and so is Bodwell. Beautiful farm house with everything you need. Quiet, surrounded by wildlife that we just watched from the lapa. The Thekwane house is extremely spacious with more than enough sleeping space and bathrooms
Fanie is an excellent host. Wim an experienced game drive person with a lot of knowledge of nature and Sarah and Bothwell helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely go back again.

Outside, the site is very neglected. The shower facilities in the bath are not good for people over 70 years old, my mother who is 90 years old could not use them. There are cobwebs behind the headboards of the beds.
The rondavel had been neat.
Oom Fanie and Bothwel's friendliness and hospitality make you feel at home immediately. We had a great time, the house is nice and private and spacious and well equipped! Can't wait for our next visit! Thanks for everything!

Although we didn't see the Big 5, we had a great time. The Lodge's staff are also very helpful and friendly. Pool also a big plus.

Our stay was lovely. I was glad you had a generator. We did struggle with one TV and had no help. Sailing on patio is broken. We only think of snakes in summer.
Had a good time. The game guide went to great lengths to ensure we saw wildlife. Unfortunately, a group of guests did not respect our other guests and made noise until late at night.
Only night sounds is that of passing vehicles in the main road and the barking of dogs.
If a little more attention was paid to the cleanliness and service, then this could be a much better place.

We were 2 families visiting with children and we were impressed with the accommodation. You get your value for money. It is a 3 star lodge with 5 star service. On arrival Annie welcomed us and she was just amazing. Nothing was too much for her and we really appreciated the pap she cooked for the kids. Our game drive with Vim was very good. We didn't see any of the big 5 but managed to see jackal, giraffe, and wildebeest.

Very well and friendly received. The house meets all the requirements for a nice stay. May I just say that the area around the house leaves much to the imagination. The little building by the swimming pool is a dumping ground, no grass, etc. The house's beautiful inside does not match the outside or the "garden".

It's so close to a big city, and the rates are much better than the Kruger National Park, and then you don't even have to drive that far, so you save on travel costs too, it was absolutely fantastic. It was an awesome weekend.

We urgently needed a rest weekend. The pace in the city drains you. We got rest and more at Thekwena. We were welcomed like family. The lodge is super clean. Although it is a self-catering unit, we were spoiled by Anna. She made the BEST porridge and sauce ever for our barbecue. We had a wonderful rest. On the game drive we saw elephants and numerous species of buck. We recharged our batteries and were ready for the city again. We can highly recommend the lodge.

Peaceful and relaxing stay if you really don't want to do anything for 2/3 days.

Wonderful value for money and service.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Thekwane lodge. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Sarah was very hospitable and friendly. We will definitely return and we have already recommended the lodge to friends and family.
