Booked a four-bed unit and paid for same. On arrival, only a two-bed unit was available. Brought in a single bed, made the unit crowded. No soap, shampoo, toilet paper, sugar, coffee or milk available. No maintenance was done. Breakfast was excellent. Exposed wires. The toilet not flushing, had to do my own repairs. Suggest that the owner and you stay there for a weekend.
No maintenance is done in the guest house. The sleeper tables and chairs on the patio are lame and lack attention. There is no one at reception during my stay. The shower leaks on the floor and there are cockroaches in the cupboards. The doors' locks are loose. The location is excellent and it could be a 4 star place if attention is paid to the maintenance of the place. There is an old TV that does not have reception.
It was a privilege to be able to stay at Threebees Guesthouse. They made us feel at home and treated us well.

Waited a while at the gate to open. Only 1 receptionist on duty, who was not very helpful. There was confusion with my room that I booked. I first booked a room for me and my partner inside the guest house. One day later I change it to apartment number 2, because our travel arrangements have changed because his son, then 14, is traveling with us. On arrival, Threebees Gastehuis gives us the room and not the apartment! There I have to hear that the apartment is permanently rented out! Our room does not have toilet paper, soap, towels etc. didn't have in After I asked ahead of time we book ahead of time because we are going to a wedding. No one apologizes! I think it's weak! Put syrup around my mouth to say we don't have to pay for the child! 14-year-old child with adults in the same room! I was uncomfortable getting on and off! The concertina bathroom door that doesn't close completely also added to my frustration!
I would not recommend this guesthouse for the following reasons: The bathroom lights by the mirror and bath did not work. The shower door is broken. The plugs in the bath and basin did not fit. We were a family of 4 and only one towel was provided. There was a very little bit of toilet paper on the toilet roll and no others were provided, so we had no toilet paper during the night on Friday. The kettle provided in the room did not work. The gate of the premises could not close and was thus left open all night. The front door of the guesthouse was left open all night with no one in sight, we had gone to close the door at 2 am in the morning when it was still left open. There were a few people drinking on the patio and though they turned their music softer they were still disturbing us by coming and going during the night. It appeared there were women who were also coming and going which did not make us feel very comfortable. There was no one at reception the whole time we were there. The breakfast was very disappointing, there was only one plate put out and the food did not look appealing at all, we thus did not stay for breakfast. We asked Master on Friday when checking in if we could have breakfast in the morning and he said that would be fine, but they did not seem prepared. Though the guesthouse can not be held responsible for this, it is worth mentioning as we could not fall asleep until after 3:30 am on Saturday morning. The neighbours were playing music and shouting very loudly, right by our window until 03:30 am. When we wanted to check out, there was only a cleaning lady around, she phoned Master who was off, to tell him we were checking out and that we had complaints and he apparently said to provide the complaints to the website. It is disappointing that the website enlists a guesthouse like this. I do not plan to book through the webiste again as a result.

It is dirty and needs a lot of attention. It smells like smoke, TV and some lights don't work. There were pieces of glass on the floor. Someone else's old food was still in the microwave. The microwave is so rusty anyway. There weren't even enough knives and forks or cups, nor towels. Will not use again at all and definitely not recommend to anyone.
Never again. There was no milk or Five Rose tea available, and they were unaware of our reservation.

When we arrived there was no one to receive us. The cleaning lady told us we should just choose a room. Their advertisement says: DStv, aircon and WiFi - none of these facilities were available. We later got hold of a worker and asked for a fan because it was very hot. These were brought to our room after a few hours. There were 3 glasses all different and one with a serious crack in it, 2 mugs and pot without a lid. Definitely not suitable for "self catering". The pillowcases had holes in them and were stained. The one towel that was there was in tatters (very torn). I took a picture of it. We asked the cleaning lady for other towels and then she brought us 2 others which were not much better than the first. No hand soap. We had to ask for toilet paper. The shower is broken and you need the shower with a hanger for it to work. The shower floor is coming loose so you are standing on loose stones. The apartments are not separated from each other, we chose the specific one because it is the only one with a small window (outside the glass door you enter). We didn't see any of the other amenities.
Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I had a fantastic stay with my partner at Threebees. Friendly staff and good breakfast with a nice view of Montana Park and nature. This was my third visit at Threebees and I'll visit again as I've never been disappointed in this guesthouse.

No DStv or heated pool as advertised. Apparently Openview whose movie channels didn't work even though we reported it more than once. Very nice guest house, but the support was not up to standard.
The room we were allocated was not really up to standard. There were lights that had not been replaced. The room also appeared slightly unfinished. There were also a lot of mosquitoes that were bothersome. We found alternative accommodation at another guest house at the same rate with a much better appearance. I don't know what the rest of the rooms look like but ours did not impress me.
Air con not working! Shower heads are broken. Roof leaks in bathroom.
As affordable accommodation, Threebees Guesthouse fully meets my needs. Also, I was allowed to book fairly late.
On arrival there was no one to welcome us, luckily one of the guests called someone for us. The lady then didn't even have an idea in which room we had to sleep, I told her which room I booked and she then said but the room already has someone in it and after a lot of calls she was able to take to a room first. I just feel they could have just let us know what was going on upon arrival.
There was not enough cutlery in the self-catering unit. The two plate stove looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years and the shower is in a terrible state. Breakfast was not quite ready the next day, nor was there equipment such as large spoons, egg lifters etc. to make food with.
We were quite disappointed this time. The floor was so dirty our feet stuck to the floor, the TV remote was dirty, the soap container in the bathroom was dirty, the bath had no plug and was dirty, and there was dust on the bathroom cupboards. The bathroom door couldn't lock from inside. The bathroom is in the corridor and not in the room which is why it would've been nice if it could lock.
Small, cramped room without an en-suite bathroom. No TV remote. The smell of chicken insides being cooked in the kitchen hangs around the house. Laughing and shouting in front of my room door 24:00 at night.

Everything was very nice except that they advertise that they have air conditioning in the honeymoon suite, which they do, but it doesn't work. The driver couldn't get it to work either. First it was said that it takes a long time to get cold. We checked in at 15:00 and turned it on and only returned to the room at 2:00 in the morning and it didn't work.
My room was only cleaned 1 time in the 3 days. The coffee, sugar and tea were never refilled. But overall it was peaceful, beautiful and safe. The staff was friendly and the place neat. Thank you.
Noise in hall, rooms and the bathroom in hall next door was disturbing. The facilities and tidiness was moderate and as expected. Door clasp and denseness should get attention.

Stunning place with great location. Need a bit of TLC to get up to standard. The lights in the room did not word and the receptionist laid on the couch and watched TV when we arrived. This is really a gem that only needs a bit of polish.
Bed and floors creak waking up the neighbors. No generator during power outages so no hair dryer and no morning coffee. No breakfast fish before 07:30 so the early bird misses the worm. No soap in the bathroom and only one layer of toilet paper and therefore not negotiable.
I live in Strand, Western Cape, and used to travel a lot and stay at many B&Bs and I'm now going to start traveling again for work. My wife last traveled with me 12 years ago. She thoroughly enjoyed this stay. My son is 10 years old and this was his first stay in a B&B outside Cape Town and his first flight at that. When he saw that there was a swimming pool at Threebees he was ecstatic. Children judge their stay by what there is for them to do and I feel the pool has made its mark on my son. It was clean and really nice. I judge a place by many things as I know what I expect from a B&B. I have to say that I was very impressed with Threebees. It was all worth it; from the beauty, location, safety to value for money. The customer service was fantastic and I must specifically mention Master's name who is in charge there. He was "great" and effortlessly arranged a shuttle service for me that took us to a meeting in the afternoon and picked us up again around 10:00 pm in the evening. Godfrey, who drove the vehicle, was also fantastic with good driving skills and a clean and tidy vehicle. Absolutely brilliant. You know that if you travel with your family and your wife is impressed and happy, it's OK. In short, it was a fantastic experience. Many thanks to LekkeSlaap (you kept us informed throughout) and especially Threebees. You were all fantastic from the time I started the online booking until we left. I will definitely use you again when I'm in Pretoria and absolutely recommend to future clients. Thank you very much!
I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff.
Due to gravity, we were unable to get a hot breakfast, but breakfast was still arranged. Breakfast also had to be earlier than others and it was arranged on time.
Arrive very late and leave very early. Slept well.
Pleasant, except we waited outside the gate for 15 minutes before it was opened for us. The breakfast was very unappetizingly prepared and tables were not clean. Staff chatter very loudly. Furthermore, the rooms were tidy, but there was no toilet paper in the bathroom.
The crockery is not sufficient for the size of the room.
One bed was broken and my husband had to make a plan to sleep on the lumbar bed. We had a TV with a broken remote with the result that we couldn't even watch TV. I really wouldn't recommend it because you're wondering about als. The duvet also had stains on it which I think is extremely unprofessional. I really thought a 3 star wasn't bad but really don't know where they got a 3 star rating.
I was there for a workshop at the University of Pretoria, so you need a car to get around, but it is very close to the Zambesi Centre. They made the bed and room every day and the bathroom too - so that was very good. They only serve breakfast from 07:30-10:00 and not as it says on their page. So I could only get breakfast one day. I wouldn't recommend it if you come for work, but on vacation. The gate was always open and the doors were always open so I didn't feel that safe.
There are no directions to the reception. The reception staff were incompetent and rude. There was no coffee powder in the room but we were still offered sugar instead of coffee. They probably wanted us to drink sugar water. Finally they did offer an almost empty bottle of coffee. There is no privacy in the bathroom and toilet as there is no door, only a loose screen that can be opened. The door between our room and the room next door was not locked. There is no security and the car gate would not close with the check. The photos and website made me think it was more luxurious. I was bitterly disappointed.
No staff on arrival. I had to call. When the person arrived he was dressed in work pants and very unprofessional. The next morning he was still in this attire. The TV didn't work at all and the cupboard doors were broken and dirty. No tea bags, coffee sugar or milk in the room. At three in the morning, drunken foreign guests were involved in a heated argument outside our room on the stairs. One threatened to kill the other if he didn't pay etc. It became quiet and an hour later we were once again confronted with the same noise and unsafe feeling. No night staff on duty. We usually get such good service at places we book through LekkeSlaap.

Because I came in late, there was no one at reception, but the owner responded quickly. The lady who then helped me was half surprised by my booking and kept my proof of payment, I received no receipt and signed no register. The parking was a problem. There were already 3 other cars and the guesthouse's van. I had to park on a very steep incline for the night. I drove in and walked into reception and stood around for about 5 minutes. Although the place has electric fencing, the access was wide open and anyone could walk in and run amok. The entrance gate was also open all night, as was the entrance to the house. The doors to the rooms only lock with a key and do not have a security gate, there is a security gate at the door leading outside. But the room and bathroom were clean and extremely tidy and my stay was pleasant.
Rooms comfortably furnished. The floors were a little dusty.Floors found a little dusty. The lower room allotted to us on the last night was found defective. The TV only has one channel; the shower did not function properly, so the whole bathroom was soaking wet after use; the walls need attention, they want to peel; the floors are also dusty; the one double bed's bedding had stains on it, not sure if it was clean. Furthermore, the staff were very friendly, helpful, professional and hospitable. Very centrally located for the purpose of our visit, within reach of businesses.

The only problem is that we found our room quite small, and would have loved to have an airconditioner.

Threebees guest house in Montana Pretoria is an extremely wonderful place to be, with your friends, family, or partner. Very good service and friendly faces. It was more than wonderful for my husband and I to stay there, and I wish I could stay here for my entire life! I urge everyone to go on holidays, or weekends, to experience it (which is what I just did). Threebees is the best!
We did not know what to expect (when we were driving from Mpumalanga to the guesthouse) but all I can say is value for money and a great view! The guest house felt like home as did the people who were staying with us. Only good comments about Threebees!!! Thank you very much.
On the night of arrival there was only one set of towels. There was no tea, coffee or sugar available at all upon our arrival. I requested tea facilities the next day. They provided it afterwards. Nor did they come to clean the place; we did it ourselves. I would also like to stay at one of your other places, this time with friends. Thank you very much for your beautiful place. I give you 90%, yes. I often holiday in the Eastern Transvaal, Durban and Cape Town. Now I know where to knock.

We were well received and Master was very helpful in changing rooms for us because my mummy couldn't climb stairs...I asked in advance and didn't get an answer! I had to go back a few times for inquiries about TV, glasses etc. because there was no one at reception. In the information section on your info page, I would change the options regarding meals and breakfast times, because they do not match! there is a need to repair the blinds in the bathroom and the couch was dirty and broken. It does not create a good impression, and is certainly not three-star quality. If they fix it up, the place is worth the stars! :)
The room was so nice, just a pity we got a broken fan which no one checked before our arrival, and there was no answer from the number we tried to phone - could be because it was after 22:00 at night. Otherwise, a very nice place.
