For the value, they can renovate the shower or put in new floors. It's very slippery when you shower and maybe a TV would be good for all the cold rainy days if you want to stay inside and maybe darker curtains at the kitchen window.

Penny and her team are a wonderful example of hospitality and everything that goes with it. The roses, rose petals everywhere and the small, fresh bouquets in the trees all along the paths make you feel at home and welcome. Very relaxing and Jacuzzi very nice, only sorry you hear the highway vehicles, but very neat and good service, very clean and very good food.
Only downside I experienced is noise from main road especially in the evening and quite a walk from parking to chalet which older people might have a problem with.

Chairs on balcony are extremely uncomfortable for sitting. Shower floor is slippery and unsafe, no steak knives available.

Terribly romantic. The owner and her team were very friendly and we had a great stay. All that bothered me a bit was the light in the unit - it was very bad, especially for people who want to do make-up for a night out. The shower also has the funniest plastic on the floor - very slippery and you can get hurt quickly. Other than that, the accommodation and food were delicious!

Very nice house for a quick getaway.
Unfortunately we were received very sarcastically and inappropriately, because I forgot that the gate's code had already been sent to me after which I called reception to open for us (number as indicated on Thulamela's gate). Unfortunately, this put a damper on the beautiful rose petals that were scattered for us to our place in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Otherwise, the accommodation was very neat and private. The hot tub on the porch with the forest feel of the forest around you was wonderful.

Penny made us feel so welcome and explained where we could go for sightseeing and places to eat - who wants to walk around when you stay here. Wonderful, romantic, peaceful. Ideal to refresh the marriage and just be a little alone from all the hustle and bustle. Nature is beautifully green and the birds provide the background music. Feeling at home in a neat, clean wooden house, fridge packed with all the necessary caps, fresh roses and rose petals on your route home, foot scrubbers etc. And of course the Jacuzzi with cherries - oh I'm already longing to go back. Delicious breakfast brought by friendly professional staff - had a lovely weekend.

The only thing that scratched a bit was the price. It's a bit expensive and the units are a bit close to each other. Otherwise, we had a great time and if we're a bit spiffy again, we'll definitely visit again.

Lovely and very romantic if that was the idea. It is 100% private and very cuddly. The spa bath on the deck is ideal for quality time with your loved one. (Although the evenings may be cold, the water gets deliciously warm.) I would definitely recommend it to any couple. It is also close enough to Sabie and Graskop for day trips.

A paradise for bird watchers..we had 'first sightings' of quite a few species. The location is such that we could look up all the special places in the Lowveld. This is a winning recipe: finishing touches, beautiful linen, a bush of roses, a barbecue place, good coffee......add to that silence, natural beauty and seclusion - go and experience it!
