25 guests' feedbackThe campsite was nicely hidden in the woods. The stars accompanied us. The hospitality is welcoming and the people here have a heart for their fellow man. The nature there is amazing and there are many activities on site. Come fresh the hiking trails are nice.
We stayed in the Thwane Bush Camp in a tent. The tent had its own fridge, as well as a kettle, braai area and kitchenware. We just arrived with wood, food and clothes. The children had fun swimming and we were able to walk around. The tent was cozy and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed it very much!
Beautiful nature for camping and relaxation.
Tent was not properly cleaned. Splashes against the tent in the bathroom and cobwebs everywhere in the corners. It was not said that there is no power. There are big holes in the tent door and the zip didn't work. The next day it was not cleaned after being told that the accommodation is cleaned every day.

Friendliest people, will definitely go again. Tents are neat, all basic kitchen items are at your disposal. A bigger pool wouldn't be a bad idea. Quite an experience. Can't wait to go again.
My partner and I visited the bush camp during new year's time and I can say that our stay was more than we expected. The host was great, very accommodating and a positive person that made the stay even warmer. The hike was superb, besides getting a little lost, with beautiful views and a calming environment. Advice would be to bring a lot of mosquito repellent, because those little critters were brutal. Other than that, it was a very clean and comforting time. A great place to unwind and get away from the city noise and technology.
We enjoyed our visit. Awie goes out of his way to make sure everything is right. It's one of the places we will visit again.

The solar lights did not work at first, but were immediately replaced and the lamp was not charged. Maybe just needs attention and testing before guests arrive. A small bag of complimentary wood will greet the forest experience on arrival. Walking route markers absent from Nguni camp. Friendly reception and service.

Had a great time. Away from everything as I wanted it. Here you can have a nice walk and just chill. Take your ant poison with you (they carry you away). If you are alone in the camp, the pots and pans are enough (communal kitchen in lapa). Would suggest if you want more than the bare essentials, bring your own. Especially DC lighting and a boiler for the coals. Just leave your long limp Mercedes at home and pack your bakkie, the road is a farm road! Will definitely come here again to unload everything and build courage for the day tomorrow.

It was quiet, everything you need is there, I just can't drive there with my car again. A bakkie or SUV would be advised.
Very clean and neat accommodation with helpful and friendly personnel. Ideal for a weekend in the bush. So many activities in and around Parys during the day, and breweries, shops, restaurants and adventure resorts abound. In the evenings you are responsible for your own entertainment, the perfect time for a fire and good company. The road is rocky, so just drive carefully if you have a Polo.
We were a group of 13 people and had a great time staying in the "hiker's camp" and hanging out together under the lapa. Would definitely recommend if you want to escape into the woods. Just make sure you have a car that can handle a pretty bad dirt road. Among other things, we drove a VW Polo there and had quite a bit of trouble getting out.
Thwane Bush camp has poor reception. For his guests. Many of the facilities are poor or non-existent. There was only one TV at main camp and it was used by staff and could not be used by the visitors. Walking route was nice and interesting. It is very quiet and peaceful.
We decided to cut our vacation short. We were not impressed at all - there were ants everywhere, we couldn't even barbecue without ants and the kitchen utensils were dirty. There were also moths in the fridge and we couldn't even enjoy the jelly we made the night before. We had to clean the pool ourselves and after finding a spider in the pool yesterday - that was the last straw. We also had to hear on our arrival that the game is rare because it was hunted here about 2 months ago, apart from the rare game we were also told that the gearbox of the 4x4 game truck did not say hello and would not be able to go game viewing with it. When we left on Thursday morning, only one of us could have showered - and only in cold water. After that there was no water in the pipes for brushing teeth or for a 2nd person to shower. This was not a pleasure for us at all. The road is horrible and I don't recommend anyone with a regular car to drive there. For vans and 4x4s, the stone hill is a place to be.
