Tienfontein B&B offers old-fashioned hospitality on the farm Tienfontein. The farm is situated on the R26 main road, halfway between Zastron and Rouxville. The farm lies in a picturesque Free State valley, wide and peaceful, with sandstone hills. At the back of the homestead is a small hill where different nomadic bands of Khoisan used to dwell. They left their telltale signs behind for guests to find. Accommodation is offered in a quaint sandstone cottage, built around 1880. It withstood several ravages of the Anglo-Boer War, including an attempt to set it alight during those turbulent times.

Die Ou Huisie at Tienfontein is a unique experience. The old-fashioned atmosphere is the first thing that will strike guests when they enter the restored cottage: the exquisite African furniture, the large yellow-wood dining table, the yellow-wood ceiling and beams, and memorabilia from days gone by.

There are 4 cosy bedrooms that can accommodate 7 people in all. There are 2 bedrooms furnished with double beds, one with 2 single beds, and the last bedroom with one single bed. There are two separate bathrooms with hot water and an equipped kitchen for your convenience. The cottage is fully equipped with bed linen, cutlery, crockery, and towels. We offer bed and breakfast or self-catering and dinner on request. In summer the pool area is a tranquil place and the beautiful garden is a haven for many birds.
