26 guests' feedbackFirst of all: We did not stay in Tierhoek House, but in the Pepper Tree Cottage. It was amazing and we had the best weekend! The unit is very private, comfortable, intimate and perfect for two people (with dogs!) A lovely indoor fireplace keeps the cold outside, while there is also an outdoor braai (covered) plus another "boma" -type braai/fire place under the tree. The views are beautiful, and you just want to sit on the porch and do nothing. The small plunge pool is perfect and private (more for the summer). The room and bathroom were spacious enough, and the bed with pillows comfortable, with nice reading lights. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. We had a lovely walk on the hiking trails, and had no problems from baboons. A perfect getaway weekend spot!
Tierhoek was an experience! Relaxed, quiet and peaceful. Only the beautiful nature, mountains and starry sky around you. The facilities were good and everything you might need is there. We especially enjoyed the little pool and the outdoor shower. We will definitely go back!
We had a wonderful time at Quince Cottage. Has everything you need. All information is provided, attention to detail is evident. We loved it so much, we are already talking about our next visit.
The perfect place to get away from all the noise but still close enough to the wine farms in the area. We had a lovely stay in Quince Cottage.
We stayed in Peppertree and it was lovely. There is everything you need for your stay and the very large bath has the best view. They have the nicest hiking trails and then in the evenings we stared in amazement at all the stars. The house is very private and is perfect for a romantic 'mom dad weekend' or a place where you can just find peace.

Unbelievably beautiful cottage (Stone Cottage), very private with views I have never experienced before. The view over the dam was very special. Just never forget your binoculars at home like we did. Lovely walk with our dog children who enjoyed it just as much. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our mid-week booking by a day. We will definitely go back again. Thank you Bruce and Alison for sharing this wonderful place with us. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amazing setting with stunning views up and down the valley. Other cottages are not in sight, so it has a really remote feel. The lovely old renovated cottage was an unexpected delight to be on this organic fruit farm while delicious sweet apricots were being harvested. The really reliable WiFi was an unexpected bonus! Visitors with any mobility challenges may find the high bathroom stairs difficult to manage.
Unbelievable, some of the most beautiful scenery in SA, you just have to walk some of the trails.

Tierhoek is an absolute gem of a place. There is not a direction that is not beautiful and the cottages are so well equipped and clean. Definitely a type of place to return to and to unwind with a good book and some comfy walking shoes.

Tierhoek Cottages, located in the Noree Valley, 20 km outside Robertson, is the ideal destination to escape from the city's hustle and bustle and the hustle and bustle of life. With no cell phone reception and internet connection, one can charge one's life batteries with the tranquility, beautiful scenery, bird sounds and other surprises that nature has to offer. Each unit is private with no one to bother you. Relax on your porch, cool off in your own pool and grill so the smoke literally swirls. Stone Cottages is furnished with the basic necessities to make your getaway weekend (or week) a hassle-free and unforgettable experience. If you want/need to catch up with yourself again, Tierhoek Cottages is the destination to consider.
Beautiful stone house in nature.
This was just what was needed. No tech. Just relax. It is a dated cottage but that’s its charm also; it’s done tastefully to be quaint. I.e. there was nothing uncomfortable about our stay. A couple of kitchen items need replacing but one is won over by the views and quiet seclusion. Highly recommend doing the Rafting Route 62 trip on the Breede River in Robertson when staying here.
The Quiche Cottage was beautiful. clean and tidy. Unfortunately only overnight there due to wedding in the area, but we immediately booked 2 nights to rest there a bit.

We had an incredibly nice stay and the cottage is very well furnished. Each cottage has its own swimming pool and braai area. Truly a fantastic place!
The best place to go if you just want to switch off and be a stone's throw from Robertson.
