Friendly owner and was able to recommend us nice places to eat and knows more about what's going on in Lüderitz than the 'locals' in the village. Will definitely stay at Timo's again.
Value for money!
I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Slept very well on the royal beds. Good quality towels and bed linen. 24 hour security on duty. Owner welcomed us personally. Wifi is on standard. Would go back anytime. Value for your money.

The reception was busy with a call. Someone was called to take us to our room. The bathroom sliding door is broken. There was no response to the request to restore it. WiFi was out of order even after it was reported.
Timo himself came to greet us in the morning, what a huge kind of a SA Rugby player man. In all, it was a nice stay.

There was a leak in the one room, but the staff and Joseph (security) was extremely friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well-equipped. Enjoyed our stay there despite the weather. The staff member called Ghost Town to find out whether they were open. Much appreciate the extra mile.

The location is such that you cannot go for a walk. The wall around the premises is high for security and you cannot see outside at all. Premises is for the person for whom location doesn't matter. Braai facilities are not up to standard and the grill has probably never been cleaned. Place is not equipped for self-catering at all. Rooms that were allocated are clean and tidy.
At first glance, neat and clean. Place short maintenance, need to push hand into toilet bowl to flush. Door clips don't work. WiFi poor, TV only shows football, commercials and local channel. They request us to wash dishes, but there is not even enough cutlery for all the guests.
Room is small though.

Very small room but clean. There is only a small fridge, microwave oven and some kitchen utensils for self-catering purposes. There is a notice that requires everything used to be washed yourself, but apart from the small sink in the bathroom there is no sink to wash dishes in. The sliding door to the bathroom could not close. It's acceptable if you don't mind staring at high walls all the time and just looking for a bed for the night. Parking will be very limited if the guesthouse is fully booked.

On arrival, we doubted the location of Timo's, but as soon as you arrive and enter the gates, you know Timo's offers everything you need for a very long journey. What a welcome by Timo himself. The security guard was on duty 24/7. He's tops. The accommodation is neat, everything needed.

The room was spotless and had all the basic amenities one needs. The guest house is very safe and the people there were very friendly.
Our (2 couples) stay was for 2 nights (28/29 April 2019). The reception was very friendly and the rooms were stylishly furnished and very clean and well maintained. Security was outstanding and the facilities were sufficient to make the stay very pleasant.
Upon arrival we were kindly welcomed by Timo. The accommodation was clean and tidy. Location, as well as security was no problem. However, I suggest that if the balance is not settled before the time, provision is made in cash. Although we had roaming the internet reception was still a problem and so struggled with EFT and proof of payment.
Once there, they say I still owe 50%. I then showed my payment. Also spoke to owner first. Doesn't seem like they are in control of their bookings. Office reception not up to standard. WiFi internet also a problem.
We were warmly welcomed and the staff was very helpful and always ready to help. However, we would just like to have additional TV channels that we could watch. Accommodation was neat at all times and very private. They made our stay there as comfortable as possible.
Timo's is beautiful accommodation, maybe just in the wrong place. The area can get a little noisy. Parking is a bit distressing, otherwise no problem. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
The owner is very nice, the staff is very friendly, but my room was not self catering, there are 2 beds but no chair at all for example. There are some plates and stuff, but no bowls, can't cook either, only grill, but where do you spice your meat? No sink except the one in the bathroom. I only stayed 1 night instead of the 2 nights I booked and paid for.
The location and layout of Timon's wasn't for my taste.
Neither of the two units was fully equipped with dishes and in both units some of the cutlery, which was there, was dirty. We were totally unprepared for the fact that the guest house is basically located inside an informal settlement! Fortunately it was fully booked and there were no incidents. I certainly would not have booked there if I had known where it was located.

Timo provided a very good service We were impressed how quickly he helped our group of 12 adults and also went the extra mile to make us feel at home. Everything was clean and organized. I will definitely stay there again.
Timo and his wife Catherine made sure we were accommodated from the moment we arrived. He gave us excellent service and was always friendly and reassuring that he will sort us out whatever our need. And he did. Definitely our place of choice to stay for Luderitz.
