Just loadshedding that makes everything uncomfortable for everyone. It was very hot and the power went out twice while we were there. Early evening and late night. Air conditioning cannot then work. A fan would have made things much easier. But otherwise a fantastic place and friendly hostess.

Neat lawns and facilities. Especially the ablution equipment was beyond expectation! I slept alone in my tent in the campsite, surrounded by vineyards and those night sounds and was in no way afraid. I would definitely camp there again and confidently recommend Tkabies.

This was my second time at Tkabies. As before, neat and clean with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful stay. I would stay there again and can definitely recommend Tkabies. You will not regret it.
This was a perfect halfway stop on our way down to the West Coast. It has camping and 2 cottages. The cottages have everything you need, are super clean and have aircon. The hostess, Dorien, is incredibly helpful and you can buy braai packs and wood. It is quite close to the main road but this didn't bother us. Our dogs enjoyed a swim in the little reservoir.

It was my first time at Tkabies and I was pleasantly surprised by the self-catering apartment. Very neat and clean with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful accommodation. I would stay there again and can definitely recommend Tkabies. You will not regret it.

Had a lovely camping experience as a solo traveller. Small camping area with 4 to 5 camping spots with nice grass, each one has water and power points, they also push a braai to your camping spot. The ablution facilities area excellent and super neat. It looks like it's used regularly by travellers as an overnight spot.
Plekkie is definitely very safe. Not yet 100% nicely set up for the fishing enthusiasts, but can be improved. Definitely a nice place and hospitable people-people.

Without fear of contradiction we can recommend Tkabies to the discerning traveller! We have used the accommodation several times and look forward to using it again make when we are in the Keimoes area.

Dorien was pleasant, helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was lovely to stay there. One problem encountered was the fact that the water was off along with the power when there was "load shedding". Don't know if it's a farm thing but it was strange. There is also a nice round water drum for cooling off, just a pity the water is not running and clean. Would have been lovely to be able to cool off in it.

We were kindly welcomed, beautiful area where children can play and run around the world. Awesome place.
In one word: fantasies. We were very kindly received by Dorien. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We did not order meat or grilled cakes, must have ordered 48 hours in advance. Asked her when we arrived she only had 1 pack of meat and actually drove back into town and got us two more packs while we were hanging out at Augrabies. On our return on Sunday, our meat and grilled cakes with delicious grape jam were ready for us. Can recommend them with the utmost confidence.
According to us, it is a self-catering oasis. They thought of everything, from wine bottle openers to snackwich makers. The chalet is very pretty, clean and spacious with a loft unit. Air conditioning, refrigerator, free rusks. Good owners. Will recommend anytime to anyone. The chalet has a calming character. Had loads of fun.
The gas geyser in the Visarend unit didn't warm the water properly, but other than that, everything was perfect.
We enjoyed it and the hosts are very helpful. Would love to go there again.

After a long day on the road, it was so nice to walk into a well-planned, very neat self-catering unit with everything we needed. And best of all - air conditioner was already on and ice cold water bottle in the fridge. The area is so peaceful with the grape plantation and green grass. Our two yorkies were able to explore the area in safety. Wood and barbecue available although we did not use it. Thank you very much Tkabies - we will definitely stop there again when we pass by.

Very tidy with all accessories, clean and brand new, room for 4 adults and maybe 2 children (toddlers) on the couch and units have alarm system in so you can lock up and go exploring with peace of mind. Would recommend it.

Keimoes is a very nice friendly town. The camping area was nice and clean, nice grass to camp on. Very clean and tidy bathrooms. Friendly owners and helpful. It's just a bit close to the road, but it doesn't really bother. Unfortunately no area to walk either.
I would recommend the camp anytime, because it is very central in the Keimoes/Kakamas area. Especially for wine routes, Riemvasmaak, fishing and other attractions. The service was excellent and no effort was spared to make us feel as at home as possible. The owners know the area very well and give excellent advice regarding what can be visited/seen. I can only comment positively. My wife and I do not have a single negative point that we can mention.

Aircon in the house great after a long hot ride on the road. Very tasty grilled cakes with moss jam. Open area for children to run around and play. Small swimming pool nice in the heat. House clean and tidy. TV with children's channels.
We stayed one night to be at Keimoes early in the morning. Excellent location for quick overnight stay and absolutely tidy, clean, and caring management.
Had a lot of fun camping and it was clean and well-maintained. May need to look into installing another shower for busier times, with a large group it was a bit difficult to shower with other campers wanting to shower too. But we thoroughly enjoyed it, it was so beautiful and the stars were amazing. Thank you!

We didn't have time to visit Keimoes as a tourist destination so don't pay too much attention to the 2 stars. Very friendly reception. They should install a large entrance sign at the electric gate - the current one is misleading and it feels as if you stumble upon the outbuildings.
Best place to stay for one night if you are traveling from Johannesburg/Pretoria to Namibia.

We had a great stay at Tkabies. We were kindly received when we arrived and our cottage was very nice to stay in. It felt like a home away from home. When we came from the Richtersveld on Friday, we had no place to stay. We called the owner and she immediately helped us with accommodation. We will certainly use Tkabies again.

In the summer the upper room is unbearably hot. Also difficult to get hold of the key because the host's house is fenced with big angry dogs inside and there is no bell to ring.
The place is very neat and the service was great and friendly. The location is horrible, just off a main road. According to the ad, we thought it was located just next to the river where it would be quiet and peaceful. To our dismay, it was just next to a big road with lots of trucks and noisy dogs and neighbors.
New, clean, neat and beautiful. Just outside Keimoes. Everything you need in the Kalahari. And the air conditioning was a savior. Nothing more beautiful than seeing the sunset from the veranda overlooking the vineyard. Incredibly comfortable. Heartfelt people who take care of you and all your needs. Feel free to choose the one.
