Great place for a weekend getaway with your partner. Friendly owner, and everything is neatly and cleanly equipped for relaxation & convenience.

Tourist Lodge is a private, cosy, spacious and very clean apartment, with crispy white bedding and towels. We were welcomed by Francois, the host, who was very friendly and accommodating. We are retired and came to visit Gansbaai in the middle of the week. We also made use of the barbecue facilities. Everything very neat and clean. The roof fan helps a lot. Will definitely visit your guest house again. Can definitely recommend putting in UPS to ensure WiFi is available throughout, during load shedding, at the units.
Cleaning services were missing. We were not informed if it was included. Microwave oven lid and bathroom shelf would be welcome.
My wife and I were looking for accommodation for a wedding we attended at Murasie on the weekend of the 19th November and came across Tourist Lodge through the website. From the moment we arrived there we were really impressed with Tourist Lodge. The room was very neat and we were received very kindly. It is located close to everything in Gansbaai and only an 11 minute drive to the wedding. I would really recommend Tourist lodge. Great accommodation for a great price!

Very nice place, everything you need. No one bothers you. Water runs a little long before it gets hot, but it's little things. The place is clean and you don't lack anything. Good restaurants within walking distance, as well as mall. Would highly recommend it.

Toilet roll holder in bathroom and rack to place toiletries on, as well as hooks for dish towels in the kitchen are needed, otherwise perfect!

All complaint I have is that Dover with all the places we have stayed, the fridge makes a noise at night, if a plan is made with it.
It was a nice getaway. Only the weather and loadshedding interfered a bit, but nothing we couldn't handle. We will definitely go back again to explore more in this nice Overberg Area.

There was a longer staying patron who was very drunk and loud. Very disruptive. The tiny fridge did not work properly causing us to loose some meat we bought. All the other units had braais close by, but ours not. 2 sets of stairs to get to the braai and the wind was pumping. I will definitely do my homework better when we visit Gansbay again.

The wooden toilet seat is rotting. The wooden window frames are already rotting. Some of the tiles in the bathroom are cracked. The toilet handle is loose. The toilet makes a terrible noise when it is full. The shower head is rusty and unsightly. The internet service is sporadic. The DStv decoder is loading up and having trouble switching on or changing channels.

We really enjoyed staying in No. 7. The only negative point there is the shower head that is a bit loose and a kitchen sink that was broken. There is a rusted hook next to the toilet where someone may be hurt. Room was spacious, clean and very neat. Hot blanket on the bed was a highlight! The cleanliness of the shower was really great! Lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Location is located near quite a few shops and the sea is down the street. Great!

My wife and I spent the night here on the 10th night of our Pilgrimage of Hope and were pleasantly surprised by what we received at Tourist Lodge. All the little things are looked after. From enough coffee and tea, milk in the fridge, and soft bedding to even an iron in the cupboard. Thanks for looking at the little things, they count!

However, be aware that the accommodation is located on a fairly busy street. However, parking is very secure behind gates. One advantage of the busy street is that you are very close to several shops. Will definitely stay here again!
Well located for places like Stanford and Hermanus where there are more restaurants and shops. Gansbaai very peaceful place with its own atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful residents.
Maybe make a note on the booking to phone them as the intercom is very soft and they do not have a reception.

We really had a fantastic time. The place was perfect. Everything you could think of was there. It was such a nice feeling to sit with the doors open like back then so that the cool air goes through your place and it's safe there. There is also a convenient roof fan. Louw's hospitality and kindness was much appreciated. You don't have to drive anywhere with Spar center around the corner, a nice place for breakfast diagonally opposite and Seeview Hotel just 2 blocks away. We will definitely be there again. My husband accidentally packed a black serrated knife. We will drop it off as soon as we come to visit family around the 24th. Apologize profusely.

I choose Gansbaai Town Lodge for every trip to Gansbaai. Wonderful sel-catering units with friendly service and very neat. Highly recommended.
For the price we paid it was excellent. Very clean and tidy. They can just come up with a plan at some point with the couches standing there and the microwave rusted on the inside. The bed, bed linen, curtains and the bathroom part were hotel standard for me, but the quality of the rest such as the sofas, microwave and the loose mats did not match.

There is only a small trash can in the unit. When the bag was full we didn't know what to do with it, because the 1 outside bin was full of dirty baby nappies. Also only half a roll of toilet paper was provided and we ran out of toilet paper at night. The mini fridge was battered and had a smell. I couldn't even get the smell out with vanilla essence.

So beautifully appointed - everything you could think of needing was there. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely come again and definitely recommend too. Neat and clean too!

The power went out in the evening but the manager sorted it out in a jiffy, but the water was lukewarm the next day. There was something wrong with the geyser. We will defnitely be back.
