The two most amazing hosts any traveller can dream of. From the moment you arrive till the moment you leave, they look after all your wishes and do all sorts of small, unnecessary things that you don't expect, but that mean a lot. We can't wait for our next visit to Prince Albert, but more so to the hosts.

The hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even arranged a dinner booking. We traveled by motorcycle, and they kept me updated on the impending storm, which allowed us to make it just in time. Breakfast was great.

Parking is a bit of a problem. Especially if all 4 rooms will be full. Very interesting town with interesting people and attractions. I would recommend anyone to stay at least 2 nights there.

We were 3 pairs of friends and found the accommodation good. The owners were very friendly and hospitable and quickly made you feel at home and at ease in the Karoo village. The accommodation is conveniently close to shops and restaurants and we would use it again. It is ideal for an overnight stay and can definitely be recommended.
The rooms are tidy and the friendly hostess goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. Beautiful deck where you can sit quietly and watch the stars. The only shortcoming is small fridge in room, although hostess asked if she could put anything in fridge for us.
The fresh Karoo air was great.
The room is beautiful and the air conditioner was great in the hot town. You can make coffee in the room, and Jude offered to store our things in the fridge. The Parkrun is safe, but the whole town is safe, we just walked to the restaurant that evening. It's located on the main street, so it's close to all the restaurants and shops, you can literally walk everywhere. The visiting area and "viewing deck" are also lovely, especially when it has cooled down a bit at sunset. Room has a nice big shower, free WiFi, and has a built-in USB point to charge your phone.

Jude also booked us dinner at "The Gallery" after contacting us on the way for dinner arrangements. Smart thought, as the restaurant was fully booked. An overall fantastic experience.

Travelers Rest is definitely good value for money. All we missed was a small ice-freezer in the unit.
Even though we didn't spend much time there we got some great rest among the fruit trees. Try Jude's home made preserves she makes from oranges etc.

Owner very friendly and helpful. Travellers Rest is well equipped to live up to the image it strives to portray. It's practical, beautiful and clean. Even though not self catering, a bar fridge in each room as well as a braai area would benefit guests.
