We found our cottage very neat, clean and well-equipped. We were welcomed very friendly and invited to contact our hostess for anything we might need (we didn't need to). The hot tub was an exceptional experience which we thoroughly enjoyed; we hope to be back soon for more. Treyntjes Rivier is now a new destination high on our list when we need another breakaway!

The road to the cottage was a bit rough, but upon arriving, it made it all worth it. The little touches of coffee, tea, sugar and some milk in the fridge did not go unnoticed. The stay was beautifully pleasant, the hot tub was prepared with wood ready to burn, as was the indoor fireplace. The shower was equipped with body wash and shampoo, but we decided to use our own.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treyntjes Rivier Cottages, and Marna is an excellent hostess with nothing being too much trouble. I would suggest that they have an electric blanket on the bed in winter, as the house is very cold with cement floors, even with the beautiful pot-bellied stove. We also felt that the toilet should be enclosed as it provided no privacy, being totally open to the bedroom. Other than those suggestions, we loved the area, the hot tub was divine, and just loved the open air and nature surrounding us.

Cottage 2 was comfortable and well equipped for 2 people. The winter temperature dropped to 2°C and we were very grateful for the wood-burning stove to keep us warm. Despite the cold temperatures, we made full use of the steaming hot tub, which was a delight.
It was so nice here, we have our own 'jacuzzi' at the braai area. And the most beautiful view on a mountain, very private and so unique, the trees create a soft and peaceful feeling, we immediately felt at home here in summer.

My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend away. It is conveniently located near the main road to do the wine route and then we went to watch whales in Hermanus. The cottage is perfectly equipped, pristinely clean and the special touch of biscuits and rusks made us feel welcome. The fireplace with enough logs provided was a winner! And the hot tub which we only started late so got to watch the stars whilst soaking. What a special place.

Simply wow - one of the nicest places we have stayed at. Clean, neat. Perfect for a romantic getaway and wanting to be in the countryside. Stoked the sheep came to "visit" every morning and evening. One of the best showers with the water pressure, if this makes sense. Equipped for loadshedding too. The hot tub was cleaned every couple of days. The hostess is lovely. Definitely want to go back.

Treyntjes Rivier Cottage 1 was perfectly laid out for any group of people, whether with small children, teenagers or just adults. We felt so secluded and still safe. It is close to places to drive out to for the day. Everything was particularly clean and tidy and Marna, the hostess, was extremely friendly to us and the children. There were many details that ensured our time there was very comfortable, such as many plugs throughout the house and rooms, bedside lamps by each bed, many extra blankets, notebook and pen, which happened to come in very handy, a drum near the outdoor barbecue, washing line for wet swimming trunks and towels, tissues in the rooms and alarm clocks to be aware of what time it is. All the facilities were of good quality and worked well and we were very comfortable as a family with 3 toddlers. The view is heavenly and the silence is blissful. The wifi was nice and fast for the one pizza and movie night we had. We would love to return again!

Treyntjes Rivier Cottages exceeded all our expectations and we were in heaven from check-in to check-out. The cleanliness of the house is unbeatable, the view and surroundings are beautiful, the service is top notch, and the wood fire hot tub was the nicest treat away from the everyday hustle and bustle - even in the wet winter weather! Mara and her team do 5 star work at Treyntjes and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you for the delicious biscuits, fast service with more wood, and the home-away-from-home feeling in which we could relax.

It is in nature with little around you. The KolKol hot tub was definitely a plus. I will definitely go back again. It's just far enough from the city for that necessary break but close enough to Caledon and Hermanus for a day's drive somewhere or to the shops. It was really so peaceful and relaxing with nothing and no one bothering. The place was neat and had everything we could need. It was comfortable and even though it was winter the hot tub and indoor braai kept us nice and warm. I recommend it 100%!

Beautiful place. Just a suggestion perhaps on a few items that can make guests' stay more comfortable: Laundry drying for inside if it rains. A small table/cabinet/rack on the wall by the sink where you can pack your creams etc. A table or shelf with a mirror for the ladies to put make-up on. A container in the shower to put your soap etc. Otherwise it must stand on the floor. Furthermore, a very very cute place and we will definitely visit again.

We have booked quite a few places on the website, but Treyntjes Rivier Cottages is just in another class! It is clean, tidy and well equipped with an excellent location on the Hemel-en-Aarde road. The guide with notes about Treyntjes Rivier Cottages, as well as the things to do in the area is very handy. And the sweet cookies that Marna herself bakes and provides go wonderfully with the coffee they provide! You definitely won't regret it.
