There is a communal outdoor area with braai facilities, a kettle, 2-plate stove, and a toaster. This area is only available to one group at a time, therefore, guests need to book their slots with management.
Langebaan offers a host of activities and attractions for guests to enjoy such as bird watching, fishing, casino, horse riding, sea kayaking, paddling and canoeing, walking, golf, waterskiing, windsurfing, and wildflowers. The West Coast National Park is situated less then an hour away.

Comfortable room and bathroom.
I recently stayed at Tropico House Guest Rooms for 7 days and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location was great, just a short walk from the beach and many restaurants and shops. The daily breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options. I highly recommend Tropico House Guest Rooms for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the area.

It was very nice. There was just not any WiFi available.
The stay was perfect but the drain is clogged or something and the rest of the floor got wet and I slipped and fell. That's the only problem I had with the stay.
Ordering breakfast was not an option. Well as advertised.

It was quiet and private as I hoped for. No WiFi signal on the smart box, so we got stuck with old Christmas movies on channel one only. The shower doesn't have a door and no mat provided, so prepare to have your small bathroom space flooded within 5 minutes of your shower. Other than the above, the rooms are clean and the place is situated in the perfect place with a beautiful view. The help is the treasure of the establishment. Just a note, please do take an inventory of your towels, etc. We checked out. 6 hours later we received a call that 2 towels were missing and there was no proof that you did not pack in their towels, although nothing was found in our luggage.
No two point plug connections. ( The TV is two point connection). Broken shower head. Grubby floor under the bed. I stored my laptop there, otherwise I would not have noticed. Uninspiring communal kitchen. Old and scrappy.
Bright distracting outside light that shone into both rooms.
Some notes: Be warned before signing up that they only accept cash. The promised TV channels in the booklet were not available. A separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom can help keep the room from getting so wet. We would feel safer if the vehicle parking was behind a gate. Regardless of vd comments, it was pleasant to stay there.
There was no pool but service was excellent.
We asked for more toilet paper and towels which did not arrive. We went to reception to see if we could use the communal area, no one was there. The blind came off when we tried to open the window. Nowhere to sit, so you cannot stay in your room. No Wi-Fi - we asked and TV channels were fuzzy and only cartoons.
The traveler looking to pack up for a day or two and explore the area will benefit from Tropico and its location within Langebaan.
Location is very central and well located. Rooms clean and tidy, with fantastic shower. A little disappointed that there was no WiFi access - with teenagers this is a must. A microwave in the rooms can be considered for the future. Will stay there again.

Breathtaking experience.
Tropico House offers pleasant accommodation in a peaceful and beautiful environment. The facility is functional with a nice view of the sea.
Tropico house is a very peaceful place to stay. Would recommend anytime.
The rooms downstairs are quite stuffy, the sliding door that goes to the respective rooms was constantly opened and closed by other guests, rock hard, it was very disturbing. The rooms were very neat. Perhaps the guest house can consider getting more DStv channels. It's convenient for a night's stay.
The room we booked was very small and, and the "garden view" described was the cement parking area. The only windows have to remain with shell curtains closed as they open directly onto the parking with the street just beyond. Fortunately the larger room was proposed at no extra cost as it was available. The website photos suggested a common area and pool, but none of it was mentioned during our stay.
Tiny pool, TV and WiFi was out of order. Ants problem and no air-con or microwave.
When the booking was made and looking at the online photos, I was led to believe that by paying extra for a balcony I would have a view over the lagoon. We were so looking forward to completing our marathon and then enjoying a lazy weekend reading on the balcony. The balcony wasn't big enough to fit a deck chair on and it looked over a parking area and a house across the road. Nothing wrong with the place if you just want a bed for the night. I would never had paid extra for that balcony or booked an extra night
Room clean. Carpets old. Breakfast room dark and smudgy impression. Breakfast marginal. Fruit: banana and pear from a tin. Staff (one person) very friendly. No Wi-Fi (instead of 'restricted'). View from room (balcony) gravel (empty) parking.
The room was not entirely as advertised on the net. The ceilings were completely raw (which you cannot see on pictures). The room itself had basic necessities and for the price could have offered more. There was opened milk in the fridge and used tea bag on the counter. They claimed that there are various DStv channels, but there was only one, and the rest local. Really not happy. It looks at if the room was thrown together overnight.
I would recommend Tropico House to anyone. We had a great time staying there and it's affordable.
Room was clean with all basics available but the curtains were neglected. When we left the next morning, the door to the main house was still locked.
Self-care is greatly lacking. Rooms too close to each other and neighbors make too much noise. Very little order and money plays a big role.
Looked forward and had high expectations, especially the little ones were so excited! The layout of the guest rooms made it very confined.
It was a lovely experience to have a holiday in Langebaan for the very first time. The place has a good location and it quiet and peaceful and very comfortable. I will recommend it to anyone wanting to stay there seeing as how it's a very convenient setup.

No microwave oven. Outside lights shining directly into our room made us sleep very badly. No bars at the sliding door. There is no bath and I know that there is a shortage of water in the Western Cape, but what if it was 5 years ago?
In today's time one expects things like WiFi and at least more TV channels. Only SABC 1, 2 and 3 and only whichever the owner is watching. Breakfast is expensive and the rooms are not cleaned daily. I had to ask for more towels as the drainage in the shower caused the whole bathroom to be flooded. I also had to ask for more toilet paper. I travel a lot and this is one of the places that could really do with an upgrade to the 20th century. The rooms aren't very sound proof either and sometimes we couldn't sleep due to the noise in the other rooms.
We asked for clean towels on Saturday and on Sunday the lady told me they didn't bring them because the other people stole them and I'm not sneaky. There is not even a garbage can, the ants eat you.
Everything you need and the owners went out of their way to help us with extra advice - just like we were old friends!
Nice place to stay, but it would be nice if they could paint the ceiling, because at the moment it's the raw concrete look, but otherwise it's very comfortable. Would recommend it.
If you just want a place to crash after a long day, it's a perfect venue. Breakfast is excellent at prices way below what you would find in town over the holiday period. Management and staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to cater to our needs. Also stayed in their best sea view room that was exceptional (Thank you!). Venue is perfectly situated very close to the main beach and restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.
Definitely not suited for a large group. 1 bathroom for 6 people not acceptable, especially if it is a group of adults, yet 3 of us had to sleep in a children's room of 2,5 x 3 m with no space or chair to place one's suitcase. Luckily the problem could be solved. Make double sure what you're getting yourself into otherwise the experience will leave a sour taste. The shower in the Shell Room should get a glass or curtain divider as the whole bathroom floor is covered in water after one person showered. Imagine what it looks like after 6 people showered!
Had a lovely time.
There are a few things they can do to improve one's stay. There is no mirror near power point when you blow dry your hair. There are no burglar bars on the windows. There is a kettle, coffee and fridge. The bed was comfortable. There are only a few TV channels, SABC and about three others. The sink in the bathroom was very high. I'm 1.73 m tall, but if you brush your teeth and you bend over to rinse your mouth, that's okay with me. If you are shorter than 1.6, you will struggle.
