An additional single bed is available in the loft for an adult or a child. For convenience, towels, a gas heater, and firewood are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, an espresso machine, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and guests can enjoy their meals at the 8-seater dining table.
The spacious lounge has a central fireplace, and opens onto the covered stoep which is equipped with gas braai, a normal braai, and an outdoor dining table, all of which overlooking the dam. It was our second time going to Troutmere and it was just as exceptional as the first time. The accommodation has everything that you need. Our dogs had the best time, and we had the comfort of knowing they were safe in our fenced-off area. Watching the sunsets, cows, and horses was the best way to spend our weekend.
We went away with 4 adults, 1 baby and 5 dogs and we had the most amazing time! All the staff were very friendly and so helpful. Our fur babies had the best time, as the area around the house is fenced off they were completely safe to run around freely. We could also freely walk around the farm which was beautiful. The Dullstroom town is right down the road and made a good day out. We will definitely be going back again.
Upon arrival we were kindly greeted and driven to the house. The farm is in good condition and is really very beautiful. The house was very clean and tidy upon arrival, and the people were very accommodating to our additional requests. Unfortunately, fish didn't bite, so we'll have to go back for sure.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Troutmere. The house is big and spacious, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The large yard was fenced in so our busy dogs could run around safely. They also loved the long walks on the farm. The house is beautifully situated on a dam.
We had a wonderful stay. The house is well furnished and the farm is beautiful with paths for walking or jogging. The large yard around the house was great for the dogs. They could explore without us having to worry. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The house does need attention inside and out to be tidy.

The view at Troutmere is even better than one's imagination when thinking about cozy accommodation in the Dullstroom area. Top notch hosts! Perfect place for few friends or couples to get out of the city for few days. Luxury over!
It's a lovely house and the farm is beautiful, our family (and two wofies) enjoyed it very much. Will definitely stay on a holiday on the farm again.
What a wonderful experience, everything was perfect. A wonderful road leading to the house which can be easy accessed. The house itself is wonderful and the open setup blows you away! Each room has a fireplace which sets for a wonderful atmosphere. The area is wonderful with beautiful hiking trails. The fishing was great, I stopped counting by 8 even my wife managed to catch her first trout while she was learning fly fishing. I am 100% sure Troutmere will see me again.

Our stay at Troutmere was enjoyable - however was disappointing at the state of the house, and how much work it needed. Small things have been overlooked and I think with some much-needed TLC, would enhance the visitor's stay greatly. Examples of this would be: 1. No signage on main road, 2. Handrail leading upstairs - broken, 3. Doors did not lock - handles broken, 4. Couch was broken, 5. Sliding-door did not slide, 6. Taps not working in guest loo, 7. Shower overflowing in top unit. These are a few pointers, not to mention that all in all the unit itself is in dire need of maintenance. I believe that attending to these details will attract more guests and reoccurring guests.
It was beautiful, peaceful and the porch was so nice just to sit on and relax. Just what we needed. Definitely going back.
We stayed at Troutmere for 5 nights with our two beagle puppies. We had such a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and modern, the kitchen is fully equipped and Maggie is always on standby and willing to help. We would definitely recommend it to all our friends and family.
Trout lakes are picturesque. The house has everything you need. One can sit on the deck for hours and watch the ducklings on the pond and stare at the beautiful surroundings. Will definitely look up Troutmere again if we go to Dullstroom.
