The place was beautiful and the view is awesome. But what we did not appreciate is the fact that no loud music was made on our side, but complaints were received. Talking and laughing a bit loud was also a problem because we received a knock on the door from the owner. The place was really neat and they were welcoming, but where is the privacy and the boundaries? Knowing for a fact we weren't noisy at all.

Very neat, very friendly. Nice stay. All you can add is maybe a place to braai and maybe put in a bigger sink, a bit of trouble washing the dishes.
The room was smallish but well kitted out and lovely. The house is ocean fronted so the views are incredible to wake up and to have sundowners to. There is a ceiling fan but an aircon for those hot nights would be a welcome addition. You can't really access the water from Sandy Point Estate because of all the rocks so it is a drive to a find a beach to walk on.
The view is particularly beautiful and in the morning when you wake up it is the sea that you see first and at night it is the sound of the waves that lulls you to sleep.

Fantastic location, quiet, tidy.
On arrival, we had a warm welcome from our host Tertia. The room was cozy, and we settled in real quick. Beach is less than 50 m away, so if you want to reminisce and relax, I will suggest you take a stroll. Overall the stay was incredible and if you're looking to have a calm and rejuvenating weekend this is the perfect getaway!

I enjoyed the tranquillity, etc., but True North is advertise as self catering, but, in essence, it not! It does have a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, etc. but nothing in the form of what you need to actually making something hot to eat using a two plate stove or so. We could not even make breakfast there. Cooking is forbidden and you're also not allowed to braai. I did not see all this restrictions on the website, only read it when I got to the destination in a file in the room. Otherwise I would have looked for a real self catering unit. Please note that South Africans enjoy braaiing, or at least the people I associate with.

Tertia and Matt are perfect hosts. Even before we arrived they were very helpful with tips about the area and reserved a nice table at a local restaurant. Their welcome was great and can be proud of their gem. The rooms are very spacious and have excellent sea views - we even slept with the large sliding window open to enjoy the sound of the waves. The breakfast offered was divine and could not have been better in a 5-star guesthouse. While it was winter, the room was sufficiently heated and extra blankets were provided - so were towels on request ( we stayed 3 nights). Instant hot water in the shower and kitchenette - sufficient crockery and cutlery. Even DStv with extra foreign channels was provided - we watched 'BVN', Dutch television. We will certainly be back at this well maintained and excellent guest house.
From the moment you walk in at True North, you are made to feel so welcome and at home. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with everything you could wish for. Breakfasts and dinner were scrumptious. The sea views are endless and breathtaking. The hospitality of Matt and Tertia was outstanding and what a warm, friendly, pleasant, awesome couple. My husband and I truly had a wonderful and peaceful weekend. We highly recommend True North!
Upon arrival at True North, we were met with such heartfelt and genuine hospitality. The best part is that this is the personalities of the hosts, Matt and Tertia, it therefore didn't fade but quite the opposite is true. The rooms are extremely neat and welcoming, and all the basic requirements are there. Its clear that Matt and Tertia enjoy hosting their guests. Being only a couple of steps to the beach means you are awakened by fresh sea breeze and if arranged, an absolute awesome breakfast allows you to enjoy the view from a private balcony. Even when you are not the only guests, personal space is preserved superbly and it actually feels like you're there all on your own. It really is a worth while experience being a guest to True North.

After my reservation, the owner chatted with me and assured me that my place was ready, and they were looking forward to our arrival. Upon our arrival we were warmly and kindly welcomed. Our place was very nice clean and tidy. Effort was made with every meal and it was tasty and beautifully presented. They treat us to a seafood platter. We enjoyed our stay and were well rested after we left. This was hospitality at its best and will for sure visit them again and also recommend people to visit True North. Recommend the place to everyone.
We had a very nice and peaceful time at True North. Tertia is very friendly and the place is quiet and tidy. Also very safe and secluded which is great with a beautiful view! The walls are a bit thin and you can hear the guests in the rooms next door if you are a late sleeper like me.
We had a great stay, but would have liked a stove or even a single plate, pan, etc. wanted to make at least breakfast or a light dinner with. Self-care to me means that you have to be able to take care of yourself and that certainly includes cooking. This is why one chooses this option. A microwave oven and toaster are not enough. The room and view are very nice and the owners nice.
