It had been awesome. Neat and clean have no price, but that's what caught the eye first. The deck with coffee and biscuits in the morning asks for more. The pleasure of enjoying the large open-air shower is an awesome experience. The awesome friendly reception staff makes me want to stay here again in the future in the Kalahari. Collapsing on the bed after a feast at Red Ox by the river remains just a lip gloss that builds "memories" in your life. Dear Tsahitsi, you are doing things right. Keep setting the standard because one longs for such type of things in the country where service delivery has generally deteriorated. Congratulations on what you manage. I was unhappy that the people there were not aware that I had paid the full amount. My stay was excellent. The breakfast was great. Everything went very very well.
As usual it was lovely to stay there. Friendly staff, everything very neat and clean and the breakfast is legendary. Close to the road but the road noise is not a problem for me and in any case gets quiet later in the evening. I always stay in Tshahitsi when in Upington, if they are not full.
Just next to the N14, beautiful kitchen and braai facilities. One can walk through from the premises to the Bi-Lo restaurant. The breakfast was top notch.
It was a nice breakfast.
We were in unit 14 which is located very close to the N14. Was able to sleep fairly well after 10pm and 5am, but after that the noise was just too much. Perhaps a lower speed limit could limit the tremendous noise from the ore lorries in particular.
We had a great stay, the accommodation is beautiful and well equipped and the gardens are also beautiful and well maintained. One point of criticism is that it could be better lit, the bathroom in particular is a problem here, there was no light near the mirror above the sink, which made it a dark corner and one cannot therefore at all that area used for e.g. makeup etc. not and there is no other convenient alternative.
We did a group discussion more than a year ago. When we arrived they wanted to put us in Chalet 10 which looks nothing like the picture. No canopy or porch. Completely below standard. After complaining, our no. got 14. The breakfast was delicious, especially the milk food.
Value for money. The place is not at the level of costing per night.
The outdoor shower is always an experience.
Reception by Alinda was great. Made us feel at home and explained everything to us. Lodge is very neat and rooms too. Come stay there again.
I have stayed at Tshahitsi a few times. It is well run and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Upington if I had to sleep over there. Breakfast is also very nice.

What a lovely two evenings! We really enjoyed just sitting on our porch and barbecuing, watching springboks. Everything is very very neat! And the breakfast was just as delicious. Would definitely want to go again and definitely recommend.
Very nice stay. Only the road traffic was noisy during the night. No complaints. If I may make a suggestion. Try putting a grab rail in the shower. We older people have a need to hold on to something.
The place is very luxurious and beautiful and there is everything one could need from coffee, ice cream to soap and shampoo. Painfully neat. Unfortunately there was a function and the after party was 15 steps from our house, the music and noise was quite disturbing as I was tired from driving and wanted to rest. At least music stopped at 10 o'clock and noise by 12 o'clock. Lady also couldn't track my payment on her system, but at least she didn't make me pay again. Other than that it was fantastic.

Everything was fine, we struggled to get food to our room due to the restaurant on the premises not being part of the establishment anymore, superb breakfast. Biggest downfall was the noise from traffic on the road just outside the establishment.
What a privilege to be able to sleep here. Everything, absolutely everything you need on 1 site. The best is the outdoor shower. Always enjoy it. Have stayed at Letsatsi several times and now our first but definitely not last time at Tshahitsi.

Very neat, spacious two-bedroom units with separate bathroom and lovely outdoor shower. Rooms have air conditioning, coffee/tea facilities, TV. Outside there is a veranda with a comfortably equipped kitchen and braai and a large fridge. Site is very nice and tidy. In units closer to the road you can hear traffic, but it is not too disturbing.
Although my reservation was confirmed, the lodge canceled it because I also had other reservations which apparently confused them, probably not reading the dates. We then had to settle for single beds. Otherwise, it's still the good quality we're used to.
We were received extremely kindly, the ladies in the office are really helpful. Houses are very nice and very practical too. Just what one needs for a pit stop after a long day's driving.

Very tidy, well equipped, good breakfast and within walking distance of a restaurant. The fresh bag of ice in the freezer was just right for our refreshments after a long hot day on the road. Little things like that make the difference. Will definitely stay here again.

The accommodation offered everything, and more, that we wanted. The staff goes out of their way to make everything even better. The breakfast is truly top notch. We love the outdoor shower, even on the coldest mornings it remains a lovely experience! The place to hang out on the stoep is also special, it just needs more light!

Tshahitsi offers everything a traveler needs - spacious self-catering rooms, undercover parking opposite the chalet, well-equipped kitchen and braai facilities - even a potty. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant for lunch and dinner within walking distance.
We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again! I did miss a small towel in the bathroom though. It's not nice to use the big, heavy bath towel for that. Very nice design of the cottages! The traffic is quite heavy on the main road next to the lodge, but everything else was very good!
We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again. Just one request: make a plan with Grietjie your emo. He attacked us on several occasions. Child kicked and poked and kicked at my wife with my 1 year old. Children were very scared.
I’ve stayed many times and overall always had a good experience. What I love most of all are the verandas/open kitchen areas - make for a lovely tranquil feel with the beautiful views of grass areas and springboks. Bathrooms also great, design good and shower perfectly spacious and strong water flow! I would however strongly suggest 4 things (these bother me every time!): More lighting above luggage in each room (very hard to see, really too dark, need more light!), fans in rooms would be great! Please install! Aircon good but can get too loud and cold. Fly screens and burglar bars on at least one of bedroom windows - to be able to open for fresh air - please!

Our grandchildren of 5 and 6 years old were with us and especially enjoyed the springbuck.
We have stayed at Tshahitsi Lodge four times. The moment you drive through the gate you are greeted with lovely clean and tidy gardens. Each unit is well equipped, neat and luxurious. The power points for caravans are very convenient for the men who tow. One night at Tshahitsi Lodge is just too short. Try to stay longer!
We received more than we expected! Beautiful grounds, peace, very nice chalets and a lovely outside shower! It is a winner. We arrived late unfortunately and will definitely stay at the lodge again. Thank you for the 30% discount as well.

Big surprise to be able to spend the night near the town in a facility that simply offers everything. Five star living comfort, access to nearby eateries, safe, clean, focus on detail, the game park atmosphere. Breakfast in the Bistro is a must! Would not even consider staying in another place if visiting Upington again. Highly recommended.
This was a good overnight stay after a week in the Kgalagadi. Everything is really excellent despite the fact that it lies right next to the N14 and trucks make quite a bit of noise. Would easily stay there again though.
Tranquil atmosphere with antelope playing and a delicious breakfast. Apart from the noise of the gravel road I can't complain about anything.
Chalets were clean and neat. Proper beds and bedding. Nice and tranquil atmosphere with the animals that walk around. The pot for the potjiekos is a bonus. Breakfast is fantastic. Believe me, not your usual breakfast! Pity that I was there in winter. I wanted to try the outdoor shower.

I arranged and paid for everything in advance. When we got there they gave our room to someone else. We then had to sleep in 2 separate houses, which was not nice. Other than that, everything was good and nice. Breakfast was fantastic. And so is our dinner at their restaurant.
Unfortunately the reception was really poor. I had already booked, but when we arrived the lady could not find us on the system - something we've experienced there before. After a long search and me even phoning the agent she managed to find it on the system.

Once you get over the noise from the road (which isn't a problem in the rooms at all) it is really lovely. Everything was neat and breakfast was convenient. Will definitely visit some of their other places too.

Tshahitsi was an overnight stop. A few days would have been nice too. The chalets are very cutely equipped with all necessities. There is also a nice outdoor shower. The kitchen on the stoep is delicious. WiFi is not too good but it works now and then - really only outside. The road is quite noisy in the evening because it is very busy. The premises are super-tidy, and the breakfast was very extensive and tasty. I ate dairy food for the first time in a long time. The staff was friendly. Reception could perhaps have been a little better, friendly but a little uncertain.
The cottages are cutely furnished and well planned. It was child friendly and the manager made us feel very at home and welcome. We can definitely recommend it and look forward to staying there again!

On arrival we were informed that we only had 1 night stay although both nights were already fully paid for and we had already booked in. After several calls from reception in an attempt to get us out of the book the problem was resolved. However, not the service I am used to as a long time customer.
Our unit was the wheelchair-friendly unit in the corner next to the busy national highway. Taxis stopped and people yelled at each other on the corner. Electric fence did not work. I believe the other units that are further down the road is better off in that regard. I felt uneasy when we sat outside with our laptops while the hitchhikers were looking at us through the fence. This is an incredibly beautiful place and everything else was impeccable. The Bistro on the premises was great. There is no laundry facility as promised, but you can use their laundry service.
Our bed had popcorn in it. Furthermore, it was a very beautiful place. Love the spring goats walking around. We ate very well. It was just a pity about the dirty linen.

Lovely accommodation that's spoiled by traffic noise and barking dogs next door. Unfriendly staff at the breakfast venue definitely not an advertisement for the business. Nevertheless, just a pity the location wasn't conducive to a good night's rest after a long journey.
Noise from hikers is disturbing, N14 passes in front of the lodge so vehicle noise is also disturbing -, not the place to rest in silence.

This was our third stay at Tshahitsi Lodge and we will never stay anywhere else when we are in Upington. Comfortably located on the thoroughfare. Friendly reception, luxurious, clean, very tidy and peaceful.

As a group travelling through to Namibia we were super impressed with the units cleanliness, friendliness of staff and out of the world breakfasts, so much so that on our way back home we booked a breakfast to give ourselves stamina for the trip back.
Fantastic place to stay. They thought of everything that could make our stay as comfortable as possible. The tame animals walking around there are very special. Breakfast is delicious and Bilo's meals are highly recommended.

I would book here every time. The houses are luxurious and beautiful and the price isn't absurd. My kids could run around and swim. Mad about this place. I would just take my own coffee along next time. There is also a busy street nearby, but if you're in the bedroom, with the aircon switched on, you won't even hear it.

We were very impressed with this lodge! We were tired from driving from Pretoria, got there and each received a nice cold water. The family chalet was lovely and with everything you need! The air conditioning in the hot Upington was lovely! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The spring goats grazing around were fun for our children to see! We went to have dinner at the restaurant on site, it was delicious and our children had a great time playing there. I will definitely stay at this lodge again in the future and would recommend it to any traveller. The outdoor shower under the beautiful stars was definitely also a big highlight for us! A place of a thousand!

This lodge is probably the best value for money accommodation one can find anywhere in South Africa. It's simply fantastic to relax there and experience the surroundings. Looking forward to experiencing the other lodges in the group.
Breakfast was wonderful. The service was absolutely wonderful. They even washed my washing and car on Sunday. The only recommendation I have is an iron and ironing board.
