We offer a variety of unique and individually decorated rooms, each with it's own bathroom. We offer affordable rates for excellent service and a comfortable stay. Most of our rooms are situated around a typical Village green. These buildings represent many of the different building styles that were to be found in the Cape Colony during the 1800s; this theme is present throughout the facilities found in our village. There is complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi access available throughout the hotel. In-room facilities include air-conditioning and heating, electrical blankets, television and a tea and coffee station.
The De Oude Martha Restaurant serves hearty and delicious breakfasts daily, as well as lunches and dinners. Other popular on-site restaurants include the characterful Hunter’s Pub and the informal Cafe Bacchus.
Next door to the hotel, is Marilyn’s 60s Diner, where you’ll enjoy a trip down memory lane with the vintage motorcycles, cars, memorabilia and a typical diner menu. The diner is popular for its gigantic burgers and milkshakes served. Right next door, at Tsitsikamma Microbrewery, you can enjoy one of our selection of Ales, or choose from a variety of other South African craft beers.
Our hotel is a great base from which to explore the natural attractions and adventure options of the region and there are many ways to do this from hiking trails, mountain biking and horse rides to tree-top canopy tours and bungee jumping. Between excursions, guests are welcome to relax around the sparkling swimming pool, visit the hair salon or entertain themselves in the games room.
The Tsitsikamma Village Inn is proud to be the only full service hotel in the area and is renowned for its good food and old world charm.

83 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful stay! Thank you for friendly service, spotless accommodation and a peaceful environment.
As before, we had a very nice stay and a nice breakfast. The rooms are always neat and comfortable. We wanted to stay an extra night and the staff made a plan for us. This morning we were greeted by a baboon outside our room and it was quite something special. This was our 4th visit here and we will definitely be back again.
The entire premises, even the restaurant, is sparkling clean. Our room was, I believe, the more "basic" accommodation, but it was modern and cozy. They thought of everything. The "village" concept is wonderful, and the SCENERY is breathtaking. Full continental and English breakfast, excellent value for money.
The room was lovely, clean and spacious.
Very nice and very interesting.
Very nice stay. Location and facilities are excellent. Breakfast and dinner were very good. However, the air conditioning in one room did not work.
We were there very briefly as we arrived late and left straight after breakfast. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we were overjoyed that we had air conditioning! The only negative would be that the walls are thin, so we could hear the neighbours, but it wasn't bad though .
Clean, tidy, friendly staff. Had a good time and ate.
Beautiful setting, beautiful hotel, will go again.
Staff was nice and friendly. Food in the restaurant was delicious.
Our accommodation was cleaned every morning. Would suggest small fridge in residential units and maybe a softer mattress. We really enjoyed the weekend. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is of good quality.
Very close to all the activities and restaurants. Quiet environment.
My wife and I stayed a few days for some quality alone time. The venue is really nice and great value for money. Breakfast is good. Staff is super friendly that makes you feel at home. We had a fantastic time and will most certainly go back.
We ended up in Tsitsikamma without a booking on a Saturday and it was hard to find a place to stay. The hotel staff was very polite, and the included breakfast was excellent. Overall it felt like the stay was overpriced vs the facilities, but the hotel is as represented in the photos and in a pinch I'd stay here again.
It met our requirements and was pleasant.
A small fridge in the room would have worked well because our children drink milk. The TV never worked. But for the rest everything was great. I would recommend it.
Variety of restaurants and ample activities for young and old.
Buildings are not chewed up. Cobwebs everywhere.
Rooms in colonial style, beautifully situated around a spacious lawn and beautiful gardens. Children could kick balls and frolic in the pool. Definitely the best option in Storms River. Highly recommended!
It was our wedding anniversary and I had made arrangements in advance for champagne and candy. It was beautiful in the room with a card from Tsitsikamma Village Inn which made it that much more special. Thank you very much again. Breakfast was great with a great variety.
We were very impressed with the room decor. It reflected the Victorian theme. The atmosphere was relaxing and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was neat and tidy. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious. The room was a bit on the cold side, but air-conditioning, electric blankets and extra blankets were available. When we arrived on Friday, there were groundskeepers and gardeners busy close to our room, and the noise was a bit intrusive. With that being said, the grounds and gardens were very well kept and it is understandable that they need to remain so by regular upkeep. The only complaints/suggestions for improvement: provide enough toilet paper, give more milk for the coffee/tea, put larger coffee mugs at the kettle, and put larger trash cans in the room. The Wi-Fi was also extremely slow/of poor quality.
Wat 'n belewenis. Die personeel was vriendelik en baie behulpsaam. Ons was aangenaam verras omdat hulle ons 25ste huweliksherdenking so spesiaal gemaak het. They have upgraded our room with no extra cost.
The food was excellent and the staff amazing.
We had a great time. Very friendly people and very helpful.
Thank you very much for a very nice, friendly and clean stay. The breakfast was 5 star. The Village Inn is centrally located and within walking distance of all the action. They are the cutest people who work there. Again why we love South Africa, diversity is special.
It was one of the most memorable holidays. No travelling necessary when staying there as a number of activities can keep everyone busy. Very tranquil and beautiful environment. Walks in the forest a must. Breakfast in mornings also highly recommended.
This getting away is truly a curse for a troubled soul! The staff are extremely competent and go that extra mile. Everything is neat and working! Definitely worth another visit.
We had an incredible visit. It's so peaceful and a privilege to be part of the beautiful surroundings.
Everything was neat and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was smaller than expected from the photos, but it was comfortable. Lovely and peaceful atmosphere and the food was delicious, especially the breakfast. We hope to visit again soon
Well located and there is a variety of activities.
The WiFi is absolutely woeful, I asked to change rooms for a better reception. There is no shower head at the shower, just a steel of water. There is no bottled water in the rooms or a fridge. At least this is expected of a 3 star stay.
We needed such a break. And everything was delicious.
I expected a lot more from a place that bills itself as a "honeymoon friendly" place. The bath and shower water was brown and the water smelled terrible. My wife and I were also sick because of the water, and we had to postpone and cancel a lot of things because of it. The mattresses are completely finished and we slept badly and hard. The curtains do not have blockout, in other words it stays light in the room and every shadow etc. is seen from inside, there are not enough power points to charge mobile phones etc, the bins are too small. We were moved to the other honeymoon suite after the first night, but most of the problems resurfaced, except for the water.
The log rooms were a bit cramped, as we stayed 5 nights. However, they quickly moved us to the village rooms, which was amazing! Wonderfully peaceful in the gardens. Everything is very well maintained. The restaurants were delicious with great choices and very reasonably priced. Breakfast is definitely a highlight!
We had a great stay! Clean and tidy. The Village is really like a small old town. Marilyn's Diner is a must. Nice big breakfast was also included. Well located near most places.
Rooms are spacious and you don't feel cramped. Breakfast was of high standard.
Everything in and around Tsitsikamma Village Inn is a must experience. Beautiful.
Very nice and neat premises. Costs are very reasonable and everything is neat and clean. The wooden units we were in are unfortunately not soundproof at all and people can hear everything that happens in the rooms above and next door. Would have liked a bar fridge in the room, but other than that there is everything you need.
Lovely spacious room with an amazing bed! We really enjoyed and rested our three days!
A wonderful stay - with lovely staff and assistance.
We had a lovely stay, staff friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend to others.
The setting, customer service, tidiness and beautifully kept gardens was an absolute joy to have experienced. Just the place to unwind.
We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again! The breakfast is also "great" especially if you are going to be active that day.
TV channels are pathetic to say the least and need attention for sure. 4 of stations out of 12 channels were exactly the same, they advertise 2 movie channels and sports but nothing to be found nor fixed after I requested them. Dinner - very good. Well a bit expensive for what is offered. Wish places would start looking at value for money instead of milking the tourists. Otherwise we had a nice stay. Exquisite bedding and clean. Nice place and beautiful gardens.
We would recommend Village Inn Tsitsikamma with great confidence.
Central location. Warm welcome and child-friendly. Beautiful room with all the amenities available. We should have been warned that the birds would make mess on the cars when parking under the trees.
We felt very welcome and slept and ate well.
Very beautiful and peaceful environment. WiFi is only available at reception and the internet was so slow that we couldn't even connect. Is a bit of a headache if you have urgent work and emails that need to go out. Otherwise we had everything we needed.
Spacious room. Good restaurants. Great location.
Good food and friendly staff.
Peaceful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, friendly and kind staff and good food. What more can I say?
The two night special rate with the adventure tours is really incredible value for money. The rooms are beautiful, large, we slept wonderfully peacefully and the breakfast was perfect. Thank you very much we will definitely stay there again!
The resort is clean and pleasant. Log cabins less pleasant because they tend to make noise. One of our units did not have a refrigerator, making it difficult to store fresh food. The variety at the breakfast table was delicious.
See stars.
Very nice, safe and quiet. Environment very nice.
Thank you for an unforgettable weekend. We really enjoyed everything, from the micro winery to the wood-fire pizzas. Everything is close by and just a stroll down the street.
We had a beautiful room on the upper left on the second floor of the old parsonage. It was very spacious, beautiful, neat and clean. We had a great time sitting on the porch at our little table and drinking sherry. The hotel gives the impression of a small town and it has a beautiful view of the mountains and is surrounded by the Tsitsikamma forest. It is absolutely worth staying here.
It was pleasant to stay here. We arrived at Tsitsikamma Village quite late in the evening and the staff were friendly and easily helped us and escorted us to our room. By 20:30 the restaurant was still open for room service where we ordered the tastiest sandwiches in a long time. All in all, it was a lovely stop on the way to our destination along the coast. Great service from the Tsitsikamma Village staff.
Would have appreciated it more if there was a safe and fridge facilities in Room 14. And between stays there was painting and plastering in front of and next to rooms. We took advantage of the Awesome Foursome offer and it worked out well. The stay in itself was very nice and so were the breakfasts.
We had a very nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Got a tea bag in stewed fruit. I sent it back, but no one came to apologize. Will go back again.
Die geriewe, personeel en verblyf was uitstekend. Wat 'n awesome ervaring!
The accommodation is picture perfect, the staff are friendly and helpful and the brewery also has good food and a variety of local beers.
We could have spent a week at the inn with enough to see in the vicinity. The Village Inn is beautifully laid out: the Village Square, the old buildings, the Swiss chalets, the main building with its lovely restaurant and breakfast nook next to the bar, with the swimming pool and the games building (with pool table and all). Everything has been thought of, beautifully appointed, kept in an old world style. I loved the idea of playing board games in the evening in the dining room. The magnificent tall old trees are a bonus for any nature lover. The rooms in the Swiss chalets are delightful, tastefully decorated and comfortable (and with electric blankets and air-con!). Every detail attended to. The cuisine is outstanding. From the sumptuous breakfast to the tasty dinners - excellent quality and quantity. And the personnel is particularly friendly and helpful. For a 3-star establishment - we feel that we were treated to 5-star quality. This is our honest opinion of the Tsitsikamma Village Inn, and I am planning my next trip there.
Everything was excellent considering the cost of the stay and what you get for it. What impressed was the friendly service, the nice large grass square, the individuality of the architecture of the accommodation and then the food. The dinner we had was so tasty and so reasonably priced. We will make it our overnight destination from now on.
With its own unique character in one of the most beautiful parts of our country, it is definitely a treat for the soul.
Definitely a great getaway!
Facilities in log cabins are good and meals in all restaurants are excellent. We could comfortably reach many places from the Village on a daily basis. The reception, management and other staff were very friendly and helpful; also the owner Chris Sykes. Tsitsikama Village is a neat and unique place and together with the surroundings it offers visitors a lot. Rooms are affordable, quite comfortable and meals are very good and often something different. Surrounding businesses often provide needed items and services. In the Village's log cabins, the facilities are good, apart from the TV reception which is poor, and channel choices are slightly limited. Our room's bathroom was also a bit small and some amenities were limited. The wooden floors make quite a noise when someone moves in upper rooms. We would love it if every unit could have a small fridge and a microwave. Other than that it was very pleasant.
Very pretty! From another world. The gardens are very neat and colorful. Thank you very much for that. The staff were all wonderful and we felt very welcome. The meals were very well prepared. Would definitely recommend Tsitsikama Village.
Love the atmosphere, the staff and the business around in the area. Nothing was to much trouble, and the restaurant was top notch quality.
Another gem in the bush, build on your successful business. We will use you again.
Friendly staff, everything within walking distance with beautiful views of the mountains with easy hiking trails and lots of adventure.
The Tsitsikamma Village Inn is in a great location, very suitable for young, active families as well as travelling youth. The accommodation was neat, clean and spacious. I had my hair done at the friendly little hairdresser and was treated as a long lost friend. The food was good and the pub was well stocked and both had a pleasing ambiance. All in all a very pleasant stay.
There are no handrails at the steps which lead to rooms. The service section is on a platform making it difficult for an older person to take food to the table - even worse for person with crutches; also no handrails. I will however certainly go there again as the service was excellent, as was the location, cleanliness and value for money.
We had a super time!
The Inn is beautiful and the rooms are each unique. The service is good and there is a restaurant on site. The staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely sleep there again!
My only problem was that I asked for a packed breakfast at reception when we arrived as we were departing very early the next day. The evening before we left I again reminded them about the breakfast. Unfortunately it never materialized which really disappointed us. Besides that, an excellent place.
Personally I just loved the style of accommodation and the scenery. Everybody at reception was very helpful and friendly. Everything was neat and clean.
We really have no complaints, the stay was so nice, there was a query with the account on check-out but it was resolved. Thanks again.
Child friendly - especially the cats that welcomed us!
The staff was so welcoming and they are friendly you feel like you at home away from home the only difference is someone cooks smashing dishes for you! There is room services and loved the fact that someone makes your bed. The place is really magnificent and has great views. When standing in the patio you see the beautiful fountain. I cannot complain because every thing was perfect and spectacular. I would honestly recommend one to goes to Tsitsikamma Village Inn and Tsitsikamma to experience something new.
Perhaps a little bit expensive for the service received (compared to other places we've stayed at), but a pleasant place to overnight and in a great location. Was a bit disappointed by the pub.
The staff were very friendly and helpful! Rooms very neat and tidy, in short we had a fabulous time at Tsitsikamma village inn!! What my husband and I enjoyed the most, were our walks in the evening looking up at the stars. The peacefulness steals over you, and you feel truly relaxed.
