Guests can swim in the farm dam, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching and cycling on the farm, please note that your own bicycle must be brought along.

27 guests' feedbackWe had a great night's stay here. The cleanliness and layout of the place is great, pet friendly on request. We had a wonderful braai area and our pup was all too happy to be there and explore.
The stay in Turksvygy River Safaris was phenomenal. The accommodation was of high quality. Our boys slept well away from father and mother in the "wooden house". We even took our 2 brats with us and they really enjoyed the farm life. The common visiting area was very well equipped. The giraffe skin stopped my Pug in his tracks, we had to carry him over it, it was hilarious. We even went to cool off in the farm pond, and were blown dry again within seconds. It was a wonderful soul-filling break from city life. Thank you very much that we could find ourselves here again for 2 nights. Thank you also for the nice coffee and rusk, although Madam/Eve came to enjoy the rusk on our behalf (we shouldn't have left it on the table). We enjoyed them just as much. See you again soon!
We had a great time frolicking in the pond after a hot December day. Beautiful animals seen along the dam. In front of the fire listened to night sounds until late.
It was a good peaceful place to break away from the city.

Rest and peace, like that by the water with the Karoo's silence.
Silence, nature sounds, walking, canoeing, swimming in a pond, clean air, vastness of the Karoo and farm atmosphere were truly salve for the soul. Stars shine brightly. We liked the rugged and basic approach. I almost forgot: we were spoiled with grilled cake and the most delicious jam - really finger licking good - petit green fig jam from the farm. Damhuis just needs another step or something - especially if one's knee is not good - it's just too high.
We were 2 females. The fact that we were all by ourselves on the farm made us feel unsafe. Otherwise the stay has a potential of being suitable for a group holiday.
Incredible hospitality received from the owner. The place is nicely located, fully equipped and very comfortable!

Perfectly tranquil accommodation in the heart of the Eastern Cape. Spacious, neat and well equipped. And pet friendly, our dogs loved the wide-open spaces.
The place was neat.
We were running a little late and arranged by text to arrive after the arrival time. Extra effort was made to make us feel welcome after our long drive.
My husband and I loved everything about Turksvygrivier Safari's. We love the outdoors, so it was perfect! Clean, friendly staff and just all round great. We're sad that we couldn't stay longer!

It was quiet and peaceful, we would have loved to explore the farm more and its wildlife and plants more, but had a long trip ahead. We were were received with friendliness and hospitality.
When we arrived in town at Pearston, we found that there was no shop to purchase groceries, and meat. Our host came to our rescue, and supplied us with some fresh karoo lamb ribs, and venison wors to braai. We were also upgraded to a more luxurious room, at no extra expense. I am truly thankful to our host, and we had a wonderful night's stay at the establishment. Peace and quiet to the highest degree. I pray that you receive some much needed rain soon, as it is heart-breaking to see the drought first hand. Thank you once again to all concerned.
There was always someone to help and there were so many extras that were not offered at other places ─ for free.
The service was good and the area is terribly wild, still with no human-made things in sight. The ideal getaway for people who want to be left with their thoughts without any people or things bothering them. There is no light pollution so people who like stargazing will also appreciate the place a lot. A real Karoo experience!
What an amazing place to visit and get away. Very nice beds.
Children feed hanslammers, swim in the cement pond, make a fire with a cherry bush and play in the open Karoo sky while the sun paints pink in the late afternoon. Very nice sleeping facilities.

They also gave us a nice dinner to grill.
It is a neat wooden house with all the necessities for your basic needs. Unfortunately with the terrible drought in the area the photos were misleading. The dam next to which the house was built and which appears in the photos has completely dried up (for a few years apparently). Luckily there was a lovely cool and spotless farm pond where we could cool off, but still not what we expected.
