Turnberry Boutique Hotel in Oudtshoorn is beautiful and offers excellent service. The breakfast is tasty and fresh with enough variety. Highly recommended.
We had a very nice stay. Premises safe, rooms spacious and beautiful and breakfast delicious.
Although Turnberry is in the center of town we were not disturbed by too much noise. The place is old, lost glory, but the service was great. Everything was better than the first glance made us think.
Hotel looks very nice from outside. The stairs to the upstairs carpet were dirty. The room is very, very small and the cupboard in which the fridge is located needs to be replaced as well as the cupboard in the bathroom. The cloth on the table for the glasses and cups was dirty. The lady who took us to the room said that unfortunately the TV remote control was not working. The bed was perfect and very neatly covered. The highlight was the breakfast; exquisite and tasteful; perfect. My wife pointed out the shortcomings to the management; hope it gets attention.
Warm, friendly welcome. Room nice and warm and tidy. King size bed with clean linens. TV very small with few channels. Needs a little love and attention, but staff makes up for it! Breakfast was delicious!

It was acceptable; however, a bit overpriced for the size of the room.
It was rather disappointing as we had 19 guests and the breakfast served on the fisrt day was very standard. The next day the 22 foreign guests ate before us so we where left with scraps. We had also to pay for the cappuccino and hot chocolate which was not mentioned to us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
We needed a place to stay close to the events we wanted to attend at the KKNK without having to drive look for parking. We will be back next year.

It was a getaway for my children's 15th birthday. We were generously received, with super clean, warm rooms. We felt safe. The breakfast was delicious and the employees sang to the small team for their birthday. We had a great time there. My kids say we will definitely stay there again on our next visit because they had WiFi.
Enjoyed the stay, is centrally located and quiet. Unfortunately couldn't enjoy breakfast due to medical reasons, but will definitely visit again.
Het hotel pretends to be a boutique hotel, but it is not. Het is somewhat outdated.
No TV due to a problem with their DSTV account. Bad reception on arrival. Barman was helpful.
Had the poor television programmes, no evening meals available at the hotel. No real arrangements for loadshedding.
The 4 star status needs an adjustment, have been in better 3 star hotels. The gardens and place itself are run down. The beds are rock hard. The breakfast was not tasty at all, the fruit and yogurt were old. I don't know how anyone messes up bacon. We skipped day 2 for a Wimpy breakfast. Staff not on duty to book out first, had to go and give the keys to someone in the kitchen. The generator is not working. What you see in the pictures and on TV is what the place was like.
We were welcomed with open arms. We were way too early but within half an hour our room was ready for us. Service is excellent and everyone is incredibly friendly. The breakfast was out of the books. Unfortunately the restaurant was not yet open but luckily Oudshoorn has many unique restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We would love to stay there again. There is still so much to see and experience in Oudshoorn.

Upon arrival we were taken to our room. We unpacked and around 20:00 that evening when my wife wanted to take a shower we found out that there was no hot water. I went to report it to reception and they told me they were aware of the hot water problem in the room but they said it had been fixed. We were then taken to another room outside the hotel which was sub standard for a 4 star hotel. Towels were dirty, single beds pushed together to make a double bed. Was very disappointed but couldn't do anything because only bartender was on duty. No one from hotel management was available.

On arrival, we were met by the friendly receptionist with welcome drinks and refreshing cloths and explained all house rules. Our room was neat & clean. The room is small in size, however this was adequate for our occasion!
For a four star hotel, our room was not up to standard at all. The television did not have the channels as advertised in the room. There were only 2 power plugs, with which the boiler, television, air conditioning and light had to work. Every time we wanted to use the boiler, we had to plug something else out first. The shower door leaks. Every time we finished showering, we first had to dry up the entire bathroom floor, which had become soaking wet. The faucet by the sink in the bathroom sprays in all directions, and everything on the sink cabinet was also soaking wet every time we used this faucet. The first morning at breakfast, there was no waiter to take our order for eggs/bacon etc. So we could only eat cereal/bread. When you pay that much for a room, you really expect a lot more than that. We have also forwarded these complaints to reception. It was not a pleasant experience and we will not use this hotel again.
I think you guys should get the ratings done about the stars.

The reception and service was extremely friendly and competent. The hotel is conveniently located and the layout is very good. The breakfast was also excellent. We will go there again when we visit Oudtshoorn.

On arriving we were received by a very friendly person at reception. Being the middle of winter we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a lovely heated family room. It was spacious and comfortable. It had both modern conveniences with old school charm. The staff were kind and warm. Always a smile on their face and ready to assist. We enjoyed our short visit and highly recommend the hotel. PS: The family room has a sleeper couch which is only suitable if your 2 kids are (around about) 8 years old or younger. If you have one child, then the couch should be fine.
We were very impressed and will use Turnberry Hotel again. We received our breakfast packs at 04:00 on Saturday morning with a smile from the person on duty - that says a lot.

We selected this hotel due to its location, and our garden room was beautiful (although there was no safe - perhaps upgrade this). Although free Wi-Fi was offered, it did not work. Staff should be trained to be quiet whilst conducting their chores in the morning. This is a lovely hotel, but we did not feel that it is deserving of a 4-star rating.
The room was smaller than we expected, but it was big enough for the one night we stayed there.
