Love it for us and our kids.
We were 9 people in the group that stayed in the guest house. It's really beautiful, literally "between the trees", with a lovely porch to hang out on. The owner and workers are friendly and helpful, and there is everything you need to cook etc. The house is very interesting, but the kitchen is a bit small.
It was one of the best experiences to be able to sleep in an oxcart. The silence was just what we needed to get away from the city noise. The camp was neat and very nicely furnished. There are not enough words to describe how great the service is. Genuine 5-star treatment in the heart of the forest. See Tussen-I-Bome again soon!

A good place to go camping for a few days for a getaway, especially with a bunch of friends for the weekend.
It's very peaceful and a unique experience with a beautiful view. There is only 12v and not 220v power at the oxcart. The bread oven and boma make up for that.
We as a family really settled down at this place. The place is beautifully maintained, quiet and lovely. The people who work there are friendly and very helpful. Will strongly consider going again next year to take a break like this.
I love the many trees, creating plenty of shade. What an amazing experience, great getaway, not too far out to reach. I love the trees and the escape away from technology. Would definitely recommend this venue to friends and family.
It's not for everyone but it suited us perfectly, the type that likes real inibos, without technology and wants to relive the old world. Perfect, it was an experience to bake bread in an oven, heat donkey water and sleep in an oxcart. And enough walking space without seeing other people. Thank you Gerhard and Wilma.

We always wanted to stay in an Ox Waggon. Lovely rustic, authentic experience sitting round the fire at night, looking at the hundreds of stars and the wagon-bed was very comfortable. A few dead trees need replacing, which we pointed out to the owner.
What a nice place, we stayed in the Ossewa and the theme was visible throughout. It's a lot of work and you keep busy heating the fire for coffee and bath water, but it was definitely worth it. There was the option of a hot shower for us but we preferred the old way. It's definitely something different and we're already planning our next visit.
Slept in Ossewa. Was very peaceful and an experience. They may purchase a "bar" refrigerator for the Ossewa unit. It was a big problem with meat and drink.
It was very nice and peaceful. A few renovations could be done here and there.
The photos and information did not inform us well enough that there will not be hot water in our place. There is JUST the drum bath. A fire must be made for everything that is needed. It's an experience and a cool idea. But for the price I expected much more.
We had a great time visiting and relaxing at Tussen-I-Bome Guest Farm as a family. We stayed in the Boslapa and the men barbecued every day. We walked every day and explored the area.
It was lovely to be in nature. Possibly put more animals on resort.
We went with friends with small children. The chalet was very dirty and dilapidated. A four-year-old boy was attacked twice by a swarm of red bees and stung all over his body. Their nests are in the keyholes of the doors, the place was never properly cleaned before our arrival. Als in the kitchen was dirty and full of cobwebs in cupboards and drawers. Bathroom rugs stank of urine. Everything was just completely creepy, nothing could be used without washing it in Domestos. After we complained they tried to improve it. Definitely not worth the R2000 per night.
It's for the person who is going to live a little rough in the woods. Boil your own water for bathing. Children enjoy the oxcart and tents. Lions can be heard from neighboring farms.
The bullock cart is an experience, I don't think it's for everyone, but would definitely go again.
We were generously received and spent a very nice weekend there. Everything was clean and tidy.
Kitchen upgrade for example toaster and bowls, pots and coffee mugs.
There was only 1 pool available for the entire resort. The beds are so hard that one cannot sleep. The layout of the chalet is nice and it was nice to be camped around you. Directions on the site can also be sharpened, as well as trees around the path can also be thinned out a bit for vans and caravans.
Tussen-I-Bome is perfectly located for someone looking to get away from the busy city life with friends and family.
Everything was just perfect. We rested. The tub at the oxcart camp only leaked water so we couldn't use it, but for the rest it was lovely.
The location was beautiful and very peaceful atmosphere with friendly people. Lots of cool trees. The walking route was quite challenging but worth it. The pair of shy goats and zebra could also be seen. The bathrooms were neat and unique. The oxcart sleeping places were also very interesting to see. The restaurant was also welcoming but could definitely use ice cream. Gerhard, the owner, as well as his team were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it will definitely go again.
We had a great time spending the weekend in the 6 sleeper ox-wagon site.
The management of Tussen-I-Bome is very hospitable. Since there was already a group reservation, we were allocated to another part to camp at. There was power and a tap for water. Unfortunately, there is not really provision for ablution and we had to use one of the guest houses' bathrooms. There had been no provision for washing up. Ground is very uneven. There was no provision for braai facilities.
The experience was good and the organizers welcoming and very hospitable. Safety can be improved because it is on a farm. An opportunity to rub Zebras and see other wildlife.
A calm, shadowy small resort where. Gerhard, the owner frequently comes to check up on us to see if we are still happy and where Vlekkie, the zebra, frequently comes to beg for bread.
Exceptional venue with charming and gracious hosts. Tussen-I-Bome is fairly rustic (as advertised), whilst still providing all the comfort required for a great rest and family time together. There are a lot of unexpected surprises like wildlife sightings and a lot of historical items, which were very interesting. We will definitely be back.
Bushveld camping - not for children. Very beautiful place, see a lot of animals. Management is very helpful. Maybe put a washing line on the property. The wagon camp is very clean and beautiful, as well as the guest house.

We enjoyed the unique experience: from cooking in a "bakoond" and heating our own bathwater, to a comfy sleep in the ox wagon. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but surely an interesting stay! Minor glitches (e.g. leaking water container etc, but nothing too serious).
The place was neat and tidy. We were warmly received by Gerhard. It was a girls weekend and we had a great time building the fire and boiling the water and didn't feel unsafe for even a second! Will definitely call again!
Great place to get out of Joburg, but not easy to tow a caravan in the resort. We had a great time.
Nice place, but needs to be taken care of (cleanliness). They have a variety of options at breakfast. Gerhard should stop hovering over the guests when they eat. They could also employ more people such as cleaners, cooks and a groundsman.

There is a peaceful atmosphere with comfortable and well-equipped units. It's perfect to forget the hustle and bustle of the city. Tussen-I-Bome welcomes you warmly and as soon as you step in you feel at ease. The many points of interest hidden among the trees are ideal for walking and relaxing.
