Tweede Wind is a very neat and clean, modern self-catering apartment, located on the ground floor of a double storey hilltop-house, with a private entrance, and offers stunning unobstructed sea views.
Tweede Wind can accommodate up to four guests in two double bedrooms, one of which has an annex single room ideal for a baby, two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchenette, living area, and a patio. Each bedroom has a double bed, full en-suite bathroom, and a ceiling fan. The apartment is for your exclusive use and will never be shared with strangers.
The kitchenette is well-equipped for self-catering and contains a full fridge-freezer, two-plate induction hob with cooker hood, compact countertop air-fry oven, microwave, sandwich toaster, cordless kettle, cutlery, crockery, and a wide variety of utensils, and also has a ceiling fan. A start-up supply of tea, coffee, rusks, ice, bottled water, briquettes and firelighters, is supplied, also a sufficient quantity of cleaning materials, hand soap and toilet paper.
The comfortable living area features loungers, tables and chairs, mobile heater and knee blankets in winter, a 50 cm flat-screen TV, full DStv and Catch-up, and a TV streamer with Netflix, Showmax and YouTube, an assortment of hand games, a pair of binoculars and uncapped Wi-Fi. The patio offers two sunbeds and a picnic bench. There is an indoor charcoal braai (no wood), and a Weber braai for outside use.
Secure parking for one car, possibly two, is available inside the premises behind a motorized gate, otherwise a second car can be parked on the street. The entire building is equipped with an alarm system with external sensors and the area is patrolled by an armed-response company and neighborhood watch.
As the house lies on sloping ground there is a flight of stairs to the apartment’s entrance, and therefore unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs, or a movement-impaired person.

It is particularly neat and everything one needs is there. Rupert and Christine are wonderful guests who make you feel particularly at home, like old friends. The guest house has the most beautiful view of the sea. You can just sit in the living room and look at the sea for hours. This is a guest house where the owners have put a lot of effort into making everything comfortable and beautiful for you as a guest. If I ever stay in Yzerfontein again I will definitely use Tweede Wind again.

My husband and I couldn't ask for a better place than Tweede Wind. The wash was just what we needed from the hustle and bustle of the busy life we have every day. It is a very beautiful, modern and peaceful place that any couple needs. We really enjoyed our time and just wanted to sit outside on the porch and watch the waves and sea air, breathtaking. We weren't even affected with load shedding and that was just a plus. We cannot thank Rupert and Christine enough for their hospitality and the warm welcome. We will definitely return again.

Upon arrival one already feels at home. The place is so neat one can eat off the floor. There were a lot of treats and all equipment looks almost brand new! The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are absolutely luxurious. Certainly worth the effort to visit.
What an absolute treat! We had the best weekend at Tweede Wind. We received a very warm welcome from Christine and Rupert and immediately felt at home. Although they live upstairs, you have complete privacy in the apartment downstairs, with the convenience of them being close by should you need anything. The place has the most beautiful views, my husband and I both said wow when we walked in. All the little details they thought of were amazing. We are already planning our next visit to Tweede Wind. We just simply didn't want to go home. Everyone deserves a break at this beautiful place. It was our first time in Yzerfontein, and it was fantastic.
