13 guests' feedbackVery nice stay. The detached braai place is probably quite ok, but something bigger or perhaps a built-in braai on the stoep would just be more convenient. Along with that, a light on the porch will also really add great value. Otherwise very clean and tidy and very well furnished.
Very pleasant stay - nicely situated on the edge of the village with a view of the hills behind, it and a pool for refreshing morning dips. Also reasonably priced for what you get in comparison to self-catering prices these days.
Had a great stay with Diane. The pond pool is a great addition and a rare luxury to the area.
A comfortable stay in a private cottage. Well-appointed kitchen. We had everything that we could possibly need, including a wonderfully cool swim in the reservoir pool. Diane was super friendly and hospitable.

Pleasant place to stay on the edge of town with the appropriate character for Nieu Bethesda. In walking distance of the main attractions. Lounge, open plan kitchen (well stocked with appliances), back veranda looking onto a garden. The WiFi was intermittent and, although secure, some of the doors were faulty. On street parking but Nieu Bethesda is said to be safe.
I liked the fact that, for example, there was a full bar of soap and not those tiny soaps that last a minute. The place is spacious, and I liked having the option of a bath as opposed to only a shower. The guesthouse is not signposted, so we had to inquire from town where it was (GPS let us down).
There was no water and we were moved to And the cow jumps over the moon. This is excellent accommodation. Big kudos to Tania for arranging the move. We are 100% satisfied! Excellent stay!
The place really has that karoo charm. The view is beautiful and the cottage is well equipped. Diane made me feel so welcome, will be back for sure.
Really really nice place to stay. Such a well kept cottage with all that you need. Location is perfect for me as it is on the outskirts of the town but not out of town. Will definitely visit Joey Bethesda again but only if Two Owl Guest Courage is available.

We were there for the stoep tasting event. There was a wonderful Karoo spirit and the environment contributed wonderfully to that. The Two Owls GH also added to the whole character of contemporary tranquility and beauty. It was very cold, Karoo nights' cold, but our hostess made sure that warm blankets and winter sheets kept us warm. The cottage has a woodburner in it and there was more than enough wood available to supply us morning and evening. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment if you prefer to cook yourself. However, there are many good restaurants in New Bethesda and we went to test each one.
Visiting Nieu-Bethesda was an experience and we can recommend accommodation.
