I would like to make another trip hoping the weather will play along this time.
It was an expensive overnight stay for 1 person. No fridge, microwave or wifi. Furthermore, it is a beautiful place with friendly owners.
The presence of domestic animals in reception and dining area creates a poor impression. For non-smokers, staff smoking habits may be a problem, although the rooms are very clean and non-smoking.
Sorry we couldn't get to the sea. View is very nice. No Wi-Fi available at the units. Very pet friendly.
Seriously in need of new towels. You still dry off, then he tears into pieces as old as the towels are. The kitchen needs a serious upgrade, the cupboards are falling apart. No plan B for temporary light with power share in your room. Thank you for turning on the generator for an hour with power sharing.
The area is unsafe, with the town dirty and sidewalks impassable with garbage everywhere.

We received a warm welcome from hospitable staff. Only thing we could recommend is a small fridge in the room. All travellers have something that needs to be kept cold. Other than that everything was neat. The view from our room was beautiful and we enjoyed it.
Room is neat and clean and very spacious. Nice big porch to appreciate the view. Breakfast was nice and owner Dries and Elsa spoiled us.
We toured along the Wild Coast for 10 days and compared to other places the place is not much different or better, but the price was the most of all our stays. The room was neat and clean, there was a corner bath with a hand shower in the bathroom - I prefer a decent shower. There is only one DStv channel available - "Movies Action" - but the signal is also so weak that you couldn't watch anything anyway. We were also unable to use the Wi-Fi offered as part of the package as the "phone lines were down". A small fridge in the room would be a great asset, you always have something to keep cold, especially if you travel between self-catering and guesthouses/hotels. The breakfast was pleasant although my little girl didn't get food and I had to ask where hers was after we got food. The guest house has a good location, it is very beautiful there.
We had a very difficult drive from Still Bay to PE and requested Umzimvubu to shift our arrival date for one day. This was done without any difficulty and in a very friendly manner. We were greeted in a very friendly and efficient way and helped to our accommodation. The breakfast was delicious and the lady serving it very friendly and helpful in warning us about road works on the way home. All in all a very pleasant stay, thank you.
I don't know Port St Johns well enough to comment on the location. We only spent one night in Port St Johns and were very impressed with the guest house. Our room looked like it had been redone recently. Was very neat, clean and spacious. There are quite a few funny elements hanging around the coast. So didn't feel safe when we went for a long walk.
