Uncle Tony's cabin was a lovely place to stay. It's even more beautiful than in the photos and there were beautiful flowers on the farm at the end of the flower season. The cottage is well furnished and very tastefully restored. There was also a laminated poster inside that told the history of the place, with a photo of the real Uncle Tony attached. There were also books and maps about the area available to look at, and menus from local restaurants. It is clear that the hostess puts a lot of work into the place to make it a positive experience for the guests. I will definitely go again.
The venue was comfortable and well equipped. Our only challenge was the almost non-existent water pressure for the bath and the hand-held shower attachment, which meant bathing was almost impossible. I left a note for the owner in this regard.

Uncle Tony's Cabin was beautiful. Everything you need, spacious enough and very clean. The surroundings are very beautiful and we received them very kindly.
We had a wonderful stay at Uncle Tony's Cabin. Lovely view and the house is well furnished. A little dark when we came back from the Meat Festival and struggled to find the turn in the dark. A light at the turn off and at the pond or cottage would be good. We'll see you again next year. Oh yes, a ceiling for the bathroom please? It was quite planning to save embarrassment.
Unit is spacious, comfortable and equipped with everything you need for a wonderful visit. Ideal for those who don't want to clash with other people and houses, but still want to be within reach of all the amenities of Nieuwoudsville!

Everything that was needed is available. The accommodation was neat and clean. The possibility of making a fire on a very cold day was very nice.

Suitable for a family of 4, 4 singles or one couple. Well priced.

Recommended strongly. Uncle Tony's Cabin is well-equipped. The owner, Dominique, walked the extra mile by taking my friend into town so she could leave her car in their garage for the 8 days that we were walking Heiveld Camino.
The cottage is properly equipped with everything you need. A TV and/or WiFi would help drive away the cold evenings and might be a nice addition. The delicious indoor barbecue/fireplace was a winner.
Very nice roast inside and slept warm. Was bitterly cold and wet.
We loved the spot, however, a double bed and electric blanket would have been really great as the weather was really cold.

Did not make use of lovely braai area. Everything fine. Nowadays more security is needed. For a longer stay a TV would be welcome and maybe a table for playing board games. But for our stay over everything was good. All the necessary equipment was there to make meals. A gas stove was available in case of load shedding, or power failure. Notice about load shedding should be supplied. We were caught unawares. Cabin very open, with no security. The main house is safely enclosed. Car no protection. But all in all a lively little place.

We booked at Tony's because we had to drive far with two small children. We arrived after 21:00 and everything was clean and tidy. We were able to get up the next morning and drive on. The road, which runs quite close by, didn't bother us at all. We will definitely stay here again.
We loved staying here. Julia is a wonderful host. The cottage is cosy and clean with all the facilities you need for self-catering: microwave, fridge/freezer, and both an electric and gas hob and oven.
The cabin is a short drive to Nieuwoudtville. The owners are welcoming and informative. The cabin is solidly built, with no creaks and whistles in fierce wind and rain. Really appreciated the quality of the furnishings. Hope to be back next year.
Private very clean cabin. We had a power outage and no food The owner went and bought food and bread for them and brought for us too. Lovely people will go back again.

Uncle Tony's Cabin has the most beautiful history story, is excellently located for flower viewing and/or passing through and Julia was a wonderful hostess. The accommodation is exquisite and has everything one needs. It was a bitterly cold evening and we slept wonderfully warm!

Spent two beautiful nights in the cabin over looking the Karoo. Family of 4 were very comfortable. had everything we needed. Enjoyed the braai place outside overlooking the farm. We were made to feel very welcome and help was on hand.
The place is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The couch sleeps just as well as a bed for adults. All negatives are the proximity of the busy road that one hears at night. For a stopover on the road it is perfect.
Julia and her husband welcomed us kindly. The house is neat and we slept well. The house has everything you need. The highway may disturb your rest, but we slept well.

The description of the unit is given as 2-bedroom with one bathroom sleeping four people. With confirmation of the booking it is very clearly mentioned that bedroom 1 has 2 beds and bedroom 2 has 2 beds and it is described as such on the website. However, the truth is that it is a one bedroom unit with 2 sofa beds in the living room. The bathroom is en suite which means guests sleeping on the sofas have to go through the bedroom to the bathroom. For me it was a great embarrassment to expose a guest who was driving along to this. The unit should be described as a 1-bedroom en suite with sofa beds in the living room.
