After our visit here, we feel recharged and had a good rest on a beautiful farm. The host made us feel welcome.
The view is breathtakingly beautiful and between fruit orchards, the house is practical with everything you need and has a lovely swimming pool that can also be heated. The wild animals are a pleasant surprise.
Very nice and relaxing, the wind blowing in the pine trees is very soothing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The privacy that the accommodation offers, for a getaway for 2, is amazing. Place is clean and tidy and even wood was available for our convenience.
Even though I had to cut my stay short due to work-related issues, I had a very good stay.
We stayed in Josphine cottage and our friends in Rosemarie cottage. Absolute peace and quiet in the heart of the Orchards. The cottages are very comfortable, double bed, seating area, indoor table and chairs with an indoor fireplace to keep warm. Kitchen supplied with all necessary equipment, including coffee, tea, sugar, milk and homemade rusks. Two different outdoor braai areas with braai grid + stand and table plus chairs. The hot tub was the best for the cold evenings to soak and get warm. Rhodes and his co-worker were professional and polite.
So it was not my first time at Under oak but my first at Commice and simply loved everything about that unit, views, and location. And the best was the catch up with Rhodes since our last stay.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage and farm has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Perfect for what we needed. Definitely recommend a stay here.
It was a lovely weekend at Under Oak Cottage. Peaceful atmosphere in nature with many places to visit nearby. Anne's Favorite is very well equipped for self-catering and the "hot tub" outside is a winner. Neat, clean and well maintained.
Wonderful getaway with beautiful scenery, river and orchards. Was able to relax wonderfully! Will definitely go again!
Elsabé just knows how to spoil her guests. Little things like free coffee, tea, milk, sugar and biscuits, as well as a bottle of wine on arrival, make you feel right at home. Rhodes welcomed us and he is such an asset to Under Oak Cottages. Hope to see him there again next time. Rosemarie Cottage is very safe, you also lock your car behind a gate. The hot pool is also fantastic and nicely tiled. There is also a picnic area down by the river, hope to make use of it next time. If you want to escape from the noise of the city, Under Oaks is just the place for you!

Rhodes your peacefulness and helpfulness was excellent. I give 5 stars because nothing was missing in the cottage and the safety and tranquility were top notch. We will definitely use Viljoensdrif's accommodation again.
The cottage is well-planned to give privacy, security, and protection against the wind. It had everything that we needed and is close enough to town.
A stunning cottage, very clean had everything and more, the peace and quiet was bliss. Hot tub was a real treat. The help with check-in is very efficient — Rhodes the caretaker was very friendly and helpful in explaining everything and helping with the hot tub fire. Our host Elsabe made us feel right at home. We were spoiled with a complimentary bottle of wine and even delicious rusks and coffee. We'd highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
It was brilliant on the farm very relaxing and private. Took a morning walk on the farm and that was spectacular. Relaxing at night in the hot tub was very nice.
The help when check-in is very efficient. Rhodes the caretaker very helpful in explaining everything and helping with the hot tub fire. All in all a very enjoyable stay. A definite return in the future.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Rosmarie, which is very private and cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Coffee, tea, rusks, salt and pepper, toiletries, hairdryer, wifi, complimentary bottle of wine. Also well equipped for loadshedding (I think we heard a generator in the distance), but also plenty of rechargeable lights and candles. We would have liked to have a little more view of the surrounding orchards and mountains. Also, make sure to ask Rhodes to turn off the pool pump if heating up the hot tub, else it will not get hot enough.
For a cold, rainy winter's weekend away, the fireplace and hot tub made for a relaxing break from the city.
Very romantic with the hot tub, braai area is very nice. Has everything you need.
