Rooms very clean and beds/bedding first class. Not 4*. No paper tissues, single sheet loo paper, no water glasses for the bathroom, only 1 clothes hanger in the wardrobe, TV not working properly. A guy was called in, but did not rectify this. We were moved to another much smaller room for the 2nd night. Nicky tried her best to help. It was a very disappointing breakfast over the road as there was only the eggs and bacon choice available without extra payment - no good for vegans.
Very comfortable and characterful house with a pleasant garden and safe rear parking. Particular attention has been paid to easing the tedium of load shedding, which was a great detail. Breakfast in the cafe across the road was pleasant. The town is so pretty and was well worth a detour to visit.

We stayed at Uniondale Manor Guesthouse on 26 December 2023. We had a large, very comfortable room with en-suite bathroom in a stately house. We had access to a shared fridge, kettle and microwave. The kitchen is not suitable for cooking but the manor is just a few steps away from a coffee shop and restaurant. The host was very helpful in organising a delicious meal for two hungry cyclists on a public holiday.
The room was very neat and clean. The bed was lovely to sleep on. Secure parking for cars. Braai is just no longer available and must please. be removed from the ad.

We as a group were alone in the accommodation and this made it a lovely lounge hangout. Can't judge if there were other people there. Secure undercover parking for the vehicles and literally in the middle of the hub of Uniondale on the main street. Happy to report main street wasn't noisy through the night so snuggled into our warm queen bed (electric blanket to chase away the winter chill) and got a good night's rest. Great stay.

The family room with its own entrance makes the more private. Space was a bonus. Enjoyed being able to visit and view the small gated village directly.

A beautiful place with the most beautiful furniture and yellow wood plank floors. We only stayed one night and the next morning had a delicious breakfast and then went to drive the Prince Alfred Pass, it's a must, it's incredibly beautiful!

The hostess went out of her way to make us feel at home. It would be nice if the owner would repair the current staircase (cement stairs) and also be able to make railings for people struggling to walk along the stairs, at the front and back of the house.
Single bed too short. Duvet kept sliding off. Power socket behind bed on the wall makes it impossible to place bed against wall. Bathroom/toilet door does not give privacy. Bathroom door frame too low - knocked my head against it.

Beautiful manor restored with care. Stunning yellowwood floors and thick walls revealing a piece of history. One feels at home there, slept well and had a good meal at The Hungry Ghost. They took great care decorating the room, and the bathroom is luxurious and modern. The owners are lovely people.
Uniondale Manor serves an incredibly delicious breakfast. The one double room we stayed in was very nice, tidy, lots of space and comfortable. The children's room was also spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, room no. 5 stuffy or wet, not sure how to describe it. Overall we were very happy and had a great stay, thank you.

We were very kindly received at this beautiful and comfortable old house in the center of the town of Uniondale. The rooms are nice and big and beautiful decor makes it very homely. The nice stoepies and common lounge offer a nice place to hang out and relax. Tea and coffee facilities could improve. Parking is behind a gate, with a carport for each vehicle. Be warned that mosquitoes can be quite a nuisance, so come armed. The included breakfast is offered at African Aloe Coffee Shop across the street and although it is a basic breakfast with juice and coffee, the staff are very friendly and the Coffee Shop has a lovely atmosphere. For light sleepers the noise from the Hungry Ghost restaurant (even fridges etc through the night) can be a problem, so maybe ask for one of the back rooms. We will stay here again!
