I stayed for a month and really appreciated that there was a full kitchen and laundry right in the unit. It is so centrally located in Stellenbosch that everything is literally at your doorstep. I worked on campus, and it was a ten-minute walk to get to campus. The one thing to take into account: It is right above Stellenbosch's restaurant street and that means that it's not super quiet. The street noise didn't bother me, but if you need absolute quiet then that may be a problem. Great communication with the team at Unique Stay, they were quick to respond to any question and always willing to help.
The apartment is super comfortable right in the heart of Stellenbosch. You are within walking distance of all the great buildings and eating establishments in Centra Stellenbosch. The apartment is very well equipped and despite being above numerous restaurants, surprisingly quiet. I would recommend this apartment to anyone.
The apartment is really very well furnished, except that there are about only 2 plates. Our plan wasn't to wash dishes after every meal, but we had to. Madre is very helpful, but checked us in and didn't even offer to help with luggage. They couldn't drive away fast enough. The parking lot is tight and a struggle to drive in and out. We traveled with a 6 month old baby and I do not recommend the apartment for people with children because in the evenings there is a lot of noise with the apartment being on top of restuarants. However, we enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend it to friends without children. Very nice apartment.

Despite being in the hub of Stellenbosch, it is private and secure.
Although the communication with the management ahead of time was professional and friendly, the reception with our arrival was somewhat strange and inconvenient, because we had to wait in the busy downtown for a person to hand over the apartment's key to us. Although one understands the fact that it is autumn, it was clear that the porch was not cleaned for our visit and the apartment had a strange smell. The hot water heater was also switched off and we could only use hot water much later that evening.
Very nice. Will go back any time. Neat and clean.
UniqueStay Oudehoek was lovely and convenient. WiFi wasn't free, paid for Wish in Bird Straat.

The properties are self catering, meaning we supply the first essential items like toilet paper, body soap ect at check in / arrival. Guest need to top up themselves there after. Guest are welcome to advise on any additional items they require prior to arrival which we will purchase and allocate to the guests account.
Late departures can be arranged which are subject to availability. Check out for after 10:00, but before or at 18:00 an additional fee will be charged and must be paid immediately, when confirming the late check out, no later than 24 hours prior to arrival.
Due to the ongoing loadshedding in South Africa, we urge guests to please arrange their schedule according to the outages and prepare upfront for any additional batteries for equipment. We do not have generators or inverters nor solar at the apartments.
