Vaal 22 Cottage is definitely worth it. The view over the dam is incredibly beautiful. If you want to relax, this is the perfect place!

The cottage has a lovely view of the river which added to the peaceful atmosphere. It is very well equipped, especially the portable air conditioner made a big difference during the high temperatures that prevailed. The cottage is spacious with comfortable furniture. The gardens are well maintained and there is almost a farm atmosphere with the sheep nearby. Our host, Mader, was always available and very friendly and helpful. The load shedding had no effect because the generator was switched on. We had great fishing which made it an unforgettable break. Just be aware that there are boats on the river which made fishing difficult at times. The bedroom is upstairs. The stairs may be a problem for older people.
