Valley Lakes is a scenic and peaceful getaway located in the Southern Drakensberg offering a haven of river and still water fly fishing, bird watching and trail running to mention a few. The units are on the banks of the Ndawana river just as it enters the pristine waters of the beautiful Curragh Lake.

The accommodation comprises 2 self-catering cottages of which each cottage has 2 double bedrooms downstairs, which can be configured to twin or double beds with an additional 4 single beds arranged in a private fashion on a mezzanine loft level. There is a fully equipped kitchen with cutlery and crockery and two toilets a bath and shower.

There are Indoor fireplaces in each cottage ensure that flickering log fires will keep you cozy at night while outside there are fire pits and braai facilities allowing you to make the most of the beautiful surroundings long into the evening.

Valley Lakes is a fly fishing destination of excellence, guests can fish the river right in front of their cottage or venture out onto the 60 Hectare Curragh Lake to test their fly fishing skills and prowess. There is plenty of space for peaceful walking and exploring while taking in the surroundings and bird life. We also have a jungle gym and offer small nature walks. There are row boats for use on the Lake if children under 12 are accompanied by an adult.
