Very friendly husband and wife with a cute young son who likes vehicles a lot. Sleeping pillow there forgot what they kept for me.
Magda and her team are extremely hospitable and every little thing was special and perfect. The whole setup with rooms in the house and outside, is breathtaking, the beds sleep great, everything is spotless and the breakfast was exceptional. Wish we could have stayed for more than 1 day, the gardens alone take more than a day or so to explore.

Van Dykshuis is a beautiful guest house very centrally located in Heidelberg. The rooms are spacious and well laid out and the surroundings are clean and safe. Would definitely recommend it! You guys will see me again!
Deon was excellent. Very patient and flexible with my tour group's needs and good company. They will be delighted to use this place again.
The service, room and breakfast were all amazing. Safe parking and the location was perfect for the Diamante en Goud night time market. We didn't have to worry about our vehicle or about parking. The only problem we experienced was with the water in the shower. It was either very hot or very cold. We could not control it and keep the temperature constant. But apart from that the place is stunning and the attention to detail fantastic.
Beautiful guesthouse which offers a warm welcome. Room is well equipped and definitely your money's worth.
Van Dykshuis has a beautiful garden and well appointed rooms. The manager did make things unpleasant when I asked for a hand towel and he made me understand that it was out of my ration of towels. As a 4-star guest house, you expect at least the basics like a towel next to the sink, and not 'attitude' if you ask for it.
My stay was pleasant, managed by friendly and professional staff, in a family atmosphere.
10/10!
