We were very well looked after. The place was beautiful and tranquil and exactly what we wanted for a holiday getaway.

The balcony with sea view is to die for. A gas braai on the balcony would have been nice. I will definitely go there again. The nearby pub's food is great and very affordable. The town is quiet and the tide pool is great. Nice snorkelling opportunities in the rock pools.

Very comfortable place to stay, comfortable furniture, beds, patio table and chairs. Lovely balcony with lovely sea view and fresh breeze, two bedrooms have sliding doors to balcony which is wonderful. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, could do with more pots and pans, some plastic containers, colander, etc. Johan was super helpful and very friendly. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would book again, noting what to bring along next time. Never felt unsafe. The pond and birdlife are absolutely amazing!

Needs a service to ensure when guests arrive to a clean , fresh place. And to check beams etc working as no gates/wall etc Also advise on parking as side of pond marshy. . However beautiful and layout good, kids fished in pond. Lovely large deck.

Very neat and private, upstairs living area. We had not known that the entire house as seen in the photo was not what we got. Please specify in the overview that it's the upstairs only and not the bottom as someone resides there. This will be useful for someone who can't climb up stairs. There is no fencing or main gate when entering, it's an opened yard, useful for guests to know, that have small kids. Reception not entirely good for those dependant on WiFi. Furthermore, it states DStv at an additional fee for the day, like any other establishment should be R50 for the day but I was told I needed to pay R700 to have it connected again for the whole month, yet I had a one night booking only. We did have a peaceful weekend, but please edit your overview, rules, additional services etc and be specific. Was not fare to us as we travelled two hours to get there and the weather was bad.

It was a short stay, very nice place. However, the back door needs some attention. Not easy to unlock. Will also suggest to provide a pack of candles in the event of power outages. Had a thunderstorm one evening and there were no candles or lamps. Otherwise a very nice place.

The house was well equipped for our stay. The beach is a short walk away, but you can see the ocean from the deck which is lovely. The small restaurant/pub on Palm Beach has fantastic food and is reasonably priced too. All in all the break from the city was just what we needed, and this was a great place to replenish our souls. I would suggest the owner invest in some new linens as the bedding provided was not great, and the curtains throughout the unit were quite dirty. Some of the coffee mugs were also not clean when we took them out of the cupboard, and there was a used bar of soap and scrubbing brushes still left in the one bathroom. A bit more focus on cleanliness and detail will make the unit feel less like someone's home that you are borrowing. It should feel more like a neutral space with a fresh experience for every new visitor.

We enjoyed it very much. The house was quite clean with a few exceptions. One gets a nice view of the sea as well as the trees that are so many to be found in the area which I did not expect in advance. Owners and caretaker are very friendly and helpful. Just watch out for the monkeys that pass by doors and windows. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who just wants to tune out, the mobile GPRS reception is very poor at home itself.

We were very impressed with almost everything. All that was less fun is that we never saw the caretaker. At least the owner was in contact with us by phone. The caretaker was supposed to contact us the day before about where to get the key, we struggled all day to get hold of her. I called her as we passed Margate, as she requested, but then she informed me that unfortunately she teaches art classes on Thursdays and would not be able to receive us and she asked that I please call the servant. have to drop off, which I normally wouldn't have a problem with, but we are the guests and we were on the road for 10 hours with small children and now after I drop everything off I have to get back into my car and the attendant going to download I don't think it's professional. She also didn't visit us at all like she said she was going to do to show us how the alarm works. She did leave us a note on the door the day before we had to leave to hear what time we were going to be out the next day. Our friends who slept in the other master bedroom had a broken bed and we couldn't even sort it out because we never saw her to show her. The house is beautiful, it's very tidy, the view is beautiful and we will go there again, maybe just cut out the caretaker completely next time.

There is more than enough space for a large family, everything was clean when we arrived. The neighbors were all very quiet so we have no complaints. We can recommend the place to anyone. It's very quiet and peaceful and you can enjoy the natural beauty all day.

The layout of this house lends itself perfectly to people who want to spend time together - from the kitchen to the living room to the balcony. Just a pity there isn't a braai on the balcony. Vaucanga Thuarsi is also well located - within walking distance of the beach and within driving distance of other nice places. It was wonderful to fall asleep with the frog ear at night. Can highly recommend VT.

There was no garage and the linen was not clean, but there was clean linen in the closet. There was inconvenience due to the linen situation and I feel it wasted my precious holiday time trying to sort it out. I specifically called in advance about the linen. They should pay attention to tidying up and cleaning the place before other guests come. The owners assure me they will sort it out. The place is still beautiful but the houses next door were full of rowdy visitors who disturbed our peace.

It's close to the sea, comfortable and fully equipped. We had a wonderful stay. The house was spacious and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The children had a great time playing on the lawn outside, and even tried to catch a fish in the pond in front of the house, which was visited by wild ducks in the late afternoon. The house has a beautiful view and is very neat and comfortable. We had a very nice stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed every day and minute of Vaucanga Thuarsi. It's very peaceful and a very clean and tidy place. The view of the sea in the distance and roar of waves in the morning does it for me, and the goats and birds and friendly monkeys were the highlight in the morning with breakfast as a good start to the day.

It was the prefect getaway for me and my husband. I am currently pregnant and was looking for a solo getaway with my husband before the baby arrives. The house is well appointed with beautiful yet minimalist decor. Ample space for a group of friends or family. The 2 bathrooms make things convenient and we never had any hot water issues. The stoep offers a lovely place to visit where we enjoyed our coffee every morning while enjoying the breeze and appreciating the sea view. We did miss a built-in braai, but just braaied on the grass below. Luckily we had good weather. The house is within walking distance of Palm Beach beach which also has a tide pool and we made good use of it in the late afternoon by going for a short walk on the beach and cooling off a bit. The security has tightened up quite a bit in the last time since we were there, so the visible policing definitely made a difference to our feeling of safety. We pulled our van behind the house at night, so it wasn't visible from the street. I would definitely recommend the place. It's very good value for money and lovely inside. A real "Home away from home".
