The multi-storey house is 50 m away from the closest neighbour and is powered by solar energy for basic lights, gas for the fridge and cooking, and gas geysers for hot water.
The house comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and a lounge area. Located on the first floor the main bedroom contains a king-size bed, while the other 2 bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. A children’s bed is also available in each room on request. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower and a toilet, and the ground floor bathroom has a bath, and a toilet. Bedding and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The ground floor open-plan living area comprises a kitchen that is equipped with a gas stove and oven, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table and guests can relax in the lounge which has a wood-burning fireplace and a gas heater for the colder days.
The house offers a boma and braai facilities on both sides of the house, and guests please need to bring their own firewood.
Utopia Nature Estate is surrounded by nature reserves, and offers various walking trails, communal swimming pools, a children’s playground, a giant chess game, a putt-putt course, tennis courts, and a restaurant. Game roam freely, and guests will be able to see a wide variety of bird life.

- Vellies Selfsorg is powered by solar energy for basic lights, gas for the fridge and cooking, and gas geysers for hot water.
- The solar system allows for charging phones only and cannot accommodate irons, hairdryers, or any other appliances that run 220 elements such as TVs, PlayStations or radios.
- Vellies Selfsorg does not contain a TV, and Wi-Fi is unfortunately not available.
- Smoking is not allowed within the house.
- The area is sensitive to fires; please don’t throw cigarette buds in the garden or veld, and ensure all fires are extinguished properly.
- Regrettably, pets cannot be accommodated.
- Sections of Vellies Selfsorg are accessed via stairs, and may not be suitable for young children, the elderly, or guests with disabilities.
- Please note, that there is a gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests are required to enquire about the road's condition before arrival, as it could be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Utopia Nature Estate is home to monkeys and baboons who are very cunning and will enter the house through open windows and doors.
- Please do not feed monkeys and baboons.
- Loud music is not allowed within the estate.
