The unit is large and beautiful and what a delight to sit and enjoy my cup of coffee there by the pool under the lapa in the morning. Everything you could possibly need is there: good coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk! A full size refrigerator, microwave oven and and and. More than enough hangers in the closet. Truly a "from home to home" experience.

We have stayed in guest houses several times in the Western Cape, during visits from New Zealand and America over the past 11 years. Satisfied is by far the best experience ever. The superior 'facilities and amenities', continuous power availability, excellent internet connectivity, thorough security/safety, engaging guest management (efficient, sympathetic, professional), best beds and comfort, and countless other little things, made our 20-day Cape stay ' made a special pleasure. Thank you Pieter and Annie, we will come again next year.
We had stayed at Vergenoegd at the time with our baby who was in the hospital, which was literally just across the road, and the owner and his wife were so concerned about us. . I called again and stayed there while I had to attend a course in the Cape and the fact that it is a load-shedding free place, I could sit and study in the evenings after class with no power interruptions. I recommend the place to anyone.
His friendly and professional demeanor was beyond reproach. The premises was clean, the welcome was par excellence. I loved the fact that there were beverages and rusks to just settle us on. The best part was the establishment is 95% load-shedding free. What a pleasure. His willingness to assist was so great. He really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. I will use this venue whenever I am able to. The only downside was the bed was a bit hard.

Pieter called us in advance to make sure the room was ready on the day we checked in. We were received kindly and everything was clean and tidy. The vehicle has a safe parking space within the yard and we felt very safe in the guest house. Good shops are located nearby. Something new at the cottage is a solar system. We didn't know about loadshedding. The crockery is of good quality and the room has extras such as a hairdryer, ironing board with iron etc. Thanks Peter. We will visit again when we visit the Cape.

The accommodation was everything I could have asked for and more clothes were tickled there was an iron, needed a hairdryer there was one, we were offered lovely hot water from the gas stove for coffee during loadshedding and with open arms and kindness received, even though we were late to clock in. I was contacted beforehand to confirm my arrival and welcomed personally by Pieter. Everything was as anticipated, neat and clean and very comfortable. There were even some rusks for with my morning coffee! My only request is that the towels do get exchanged for an extended stay. Note, TV cupboard needs some attention. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Our host (Pieter) was extremely hospitable and helpful and cut short his Sunday afternoon visit with friends to pick up my husband and take him to the emergency pharmacy for medication when we had a crisis. We recommend Vergenoed with pleasure and will definitely stay there again in the future when we visit Cape Town.
I can't help but recommend anyone looking for accommodation in this area to use Vergenoegd. The willingness with which requests were met cannot be described in words. Before my retirement I often had to make use of such facilities and I cannot recall any place where I experienced so much comfort.

What a gem amongst busy main routes. The owners, Annie and Pieter are the two most beautiful people, they give kindness and hospitality a different meaning! Even though the bathrooms are not en suite it is so private, you will never be in anyone's space, very private. And rooms above the normal norm of neat and tasteful decor. Close to hospitals, doctors and shopping centers.
