It was neat and clean. This is very important to me. The room is but small. Walk-in closet area helped a lot - could at least store a few things there - so it's not in the room itself. All that I will really pay attention to - because the room is so small and there is no place to sit and relax - I will make the outside area - just outside the room a bit neater and cleaner and more convenient for the clients to be able to sit and relax. I will pay attention to that.
The owner and management go out of their way to meet guests' needs. Would definitely recommend them.

Clean, tidy and friendly service as well as delicious breakfast. Well located for someone who wants to explore the big hole and surrounding area. However, the street is very busy.
The place is ideally located if you want to visit the Kimberley Gat and museum. It is literally walking distance!
Breakfast is quite expensive but was big. Coffee could be better.
1. There was a lot of vehicle noise in the evening which made it difficult to sleep. 2. Although the unit was tidy, the garden was neglected and dirty. 3. We left one day early and they were not willing to do any refund. 4. The TV only had 4 channels.
The guest lodge is beautiful. It really feels like you are stepping back in time. The room is beautiful and well equipped for an overnight stay. Our hostess was very nice and unlocked for us even though we arrived late. The lodge is directly opposite the Kimberley hole - you can't ask for more. If I come to Kimberley again, I will definitely stay at Victorian Guest Lodge again.

Charmaine, the receptionist, went out of her way to ensure that we were satisfied with the room and amenities. We had a superb room, and wanted for nothing. Everything was spotless and clean. One of our best stays on this road trip.
Nice stay and very close to Groot Gat. Good service, safe parking and tidy. Would recommend it. Note that the street in front of the guest house is close and you can hear the cars through the night, although this may only bother light sleepers.
Traffic is terrible in the street, no good sleep at all.
You probably can't ask for a better location in Kimberley, you literally walk 200 m to the Big Hole! Centrally located, close to everything. Our room was massive, and very clean and comfortable. Slept well, stayed nice.
What a wonderful experience. The people are so friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home. Privacy is excellent. You can come and go as you please. Twenty steps from the Great Hole. You'll definitely see me again, thank you!
Entrance to the guest house is somewhat of a risk. The road is very busy and you have to wait for the gate to be opened. In our case, we had to wait a long time and make a few calls. If you wait in front of the gate, your car is still in the way of oncoming traffic. Otherwise the stay was very nice. Slept well.
Outside cushions on concrete benches would be nice. Had no balcony so frustrating in early morning and late at night when having coffee. Apart from that very nice. Would recommend only for short stay.

Friendly welcome and was upgraded to honeymoon suite as there was a police conference next door and the noise in the street in front of the house was less audible upstairs. Room and bathroom clean and equipped with what one needs. Location good for visiting Groot Gat and museum, but have to drive to places to eat.
Built the best for the last night. What also made the guest house nice was that it was just opposite the big hole, and my wife had never been there. Enjoyed it a lot.

Victorian Guest Lodge is very conveniently located if you want to visit the Great Hole. Very friendly people and the guesthouse is beautifully clean. A luggage rack and storage space in the bathroom would be appreciated. The decorations are a bit overwhelming.

Conveniently located right next to the Big Hole complex parking lot, with side-gate access to the parking lot to walk underneath the street to the Big Hole. Only negative: situated on a busy road, so it may be slightly noisy due to the traffic.
