Viewpoint is truly a lovely place to stay. The location with the view over Haenertsburg is special. The room, we were in number 5, is very nice, neat and comfortable. However, I would suggest that they make the stairs a bit safer by maybe putting "non-slip" strips on them. The stairs are very steep and slippery. We were warmly received by the hostess and she and all the other staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. One complaint we do have is that after the 3rd night, out of 5 nights, we asked for clean towels. We were reassured that they would in any case replace the towels and the linen on the morning in question. However, when we returned in the afternoon from our day's exploration of the area, the towels and linen had not yet been changed. After we asked again, it was sent to our room.

It was a getaway that we will remember for a long time. We used Viewpoint cabin 5. It was neat and tidy with everything one needs. I really liked the details like fresh flowers, chocolates on the bed, delicious bottle of wine on arrival. It is that extra touch that makes the stay extra special. There was good communication when there was an unplanned power outage. The gardens are a loop court and are beautifully maintained. It is even more beautiful there than in the photos. The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. If the opportunity arises, we will definitely book there again.

Our stay was just wonderful. In fact, once we got there we decided to extend our stay by another night. The location and surrounding amenities are true gems hidden and tucked away. My entire family will never forget this experience. The cabin is spectacularly clean! Honestly almost brand new type of cleanliness. Everything you think you'll need is provided to ensure a smooth self-catering experience. We did get a notification the morning of travelling that some maintenance would cause an interruption in the electricity supply from 6am to 11am. A minor inconvenience, we still had hot water and the stove operates using gas, so not all was lost. Cabin 3 does not have a fireplace which is perhaps the one thing we were disappointed to discover as we were told it did. These two niggles however did not change the super wonderful experience we had here! Planning to return with more family members.
Family told us about Haenertsburg near Magoebaskloof and we always wanted to go. The village is almost walking distance from our accommodation. About 200 m from where the accommodation's entrance is, is the Pancake House. The village itself has a rich history to explore. Various small shops, restaurants, coffee shops and also the 'Broken' Long Tom monument - the Boers destroyed the cannon during the Anglo-Boer War and the shards were assembled into a monument with various pieces of history to read from the Magoeba War, Anglo-Boer War and the Second World War. 15 minutes drive from our accommodation, is the farm Wegraakbosch where we could see on the tour how the methods of cheese making that were learned in Switzerland have been applied in South Africa for more than 30 years now (tour includes cheese tasting!) 10 minutes down the road is the Blueberry Farm Cafe where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on Mother's Day.

We were a family of 3, my husband, myself our 2-year-old child and our dog who went to stay there for the weekend. The cabin is well-equipped and the view was just fantastic. We loved the smell of the fresh air and all the beautiful trees and plants. It is a great place to go and relax and unwind. The cabin was very clean and well-designed with lovely features. The stairs were a bit steep for the dog and child but we managed. I would highly recommend it, we had a braai on Friday and the Saturday we chilled in front of the fire place. The town has a lovely 10km hike and we enjoyed the restaurants and the people there.

It was absolutely blissful, the place to unwind and rest. Although so centrally located you are still close to restaurants, shops and other attractions. We stayed in chalet 3 for 2 nights with 3 people and enjoyed our stay. The chalet looks nice and is situated privately. The bathroom is a little small and with a tiny mirror it's difficult to see yourself. The kitchen is very well equipped. The upstairs floor is polished with some varnish that makes it extremely slippery and the little sheep blankets next to the bed are dangerous because of the slippery floor so we removed them during our stay. It's situated close to Haenertsburg and has nice birdlife and samango monkeys to spot. I would book again!
The stairs are dangerous. Very sleek and stylish. The fact that the toilet is downstairs makes it difficult in the evenings. Slipped and could have been very hurt. The bathtub was leaking, so water kept draining out. The first 2 units face the main road. So the noise of the cars is disturbing. The decor is beautiful.
The cabin was beautiful with everything you need, even a lovely bath to relax in. Definitely not top privacy, but blinds did the trick. Cabin 1 is close to the main road, which means it never really gets quiet, it's trucks and vehicle noise all the time. That was really the only negative for me. Furthermore, we had such a good time and bathed after all the dust of the Kruger Park.
Absolutely perfect in every way. My partner and I went only for a couple nights right after we got married as our "Mini-moon" before needing to be back at work and we cannot wait to return! It was everything we could have asked for and more. Thank you that a place like this exists.

The accommodation is very comfortable and properly equipped with the most beautiful crockery. It has everything one needs for self-catering. The place was perfectly clean and all the linen and blankets smelled nice and fresh. We were especially very impressed with all the personal details that Laura prepared for us. We asked if our two dogs could stay together and Laura even put out beds for them with soft blankets and dog biscuits and a water bowl. It was such a nice surprise! We will definitely visit again!

It's incredible value for money. Attention is paid to detail and the units are fully equipped with everything you can possibly think of. The units are clean, tidy and very safe. We had a wonderful 2 night stay on the way to Kruger. The cabin was gorgeous, we could have stayed for a week. We loved the extra little touches - wood and firelighters, complimentary bottle of wine, chocolates on the pillows. Thank you for a wonderful visit Laura. We will most certainly be back.
Location is ideal for exploring Magoebaskloof. Close to good restaurants and shops of the town.
The hostess even prepared for us a bottle of wine, wood and biscuits for the cold weather, at no extra cost. If we could be hyper critical. The (very nice) bath's water was not hot, because the gas geyser is below and the bath above. But the hospitality and beautiful nature and nice fireplace made up for it.

We are retired and now regularly travel to smaller places in South Africa. Viewpoint Estate has been one of the most beautiful self-catering units we have stayed in so far! Nice, comfortable furniture in the Cabin and the crockery was exceptional. Handmade pottery mugs and plates. A lovely bottle of red wine welcomed us and flowers were in the bedroom and living room. All the linen looked like brand new! Although the weather was not very accommodating, we still had a very nice 3 days in the Cabin and beautiful surroundings!

On arrival the WiFi had a bit of a problem, but Laura made a lot of effort and the regional manager came to solve the problem himself. We will definitely go again.

A pleasant experience and a lovely stay at a beautiful and well kept unit. It came with everything you may need as well as some personal touches that make you feel special such as chocolates on the pillows, rusks for the morning, and firewood and wine for the evening. My one and only complaint is the distance from the main road which can be noisy at times.

Have a very nice stay at the cabins. They are nice and cozy. Would just rather go back in summer as it was freezing by 15:00. One suggestion would be that there are more steak knives available. Only one steak knife was available.
We had a few series of unfortunate events that took place during our stay.
1. We had bad luck after bad luck. Intermittent and unreliable hot water (cabin 3 this is where my parents stayed). With a small baby one needs hot water and it was cold! We were told to go back to cabin 7 to shower and get hot water but it was freezing because the fire place basically burnt down. With a three month old taking the baby inside and outside is not ideal. We also didn't want to struggle whilst on holiday! While someone was showering, someone had to stand outside by the geyser to adjust the hot water. . 2. We stayed at cabin 7 with our small baby. On the first night of using the fireplace, two hours after going to bed, the entire cabin was full of smoke. We discovered the wall next to the fireplace started combusting. We are unable to comment on the efficacy of the insulation around the fireplace in a wooden cabin. Nevertheless our baby could of suffered lung implications due to the amount of smoke. . My parents left early so we could stay in cabin 3. . The owner, Moya was very apologetic and offered to set us up in the guesthouse. Yes we could of stayed there but throughout our short stay why would we want to move THREE times with all our luggage and food supplies with a small baby. . It was an exhausting trip away! Shocking.

We had the most amazing stay at Viewpoint Cabins - the cabin was well equipped and so stylishly decorated! It was lovely really, most pleasant. A great spot for an initiate overnight visit. Just 2 points for consideration, the fireplace billowed into the cabin so we had to open all the windows and turn on the fan to clear the smoke out of the air and the overflow pipe for the bath is not plumped in which caused water to be filled in the floor, which ran down through into the kitchen.
We really loved our little cabin and will definitely return.
We booked a romantic Valentines getaway and could not have selected a better spot. The location is gorgeous, the cabin was incredible and we felt really safe. Check in was made super easy and the cabin was spotless from top to bottom. I will definitely recommend to all my friends.

These are such lovely little cabins, so well appointed with lots of really thoughtful little unexpected extra touches. Ideally situated in the most beautiful setting. We loved our stay and can highly recommend them.
If we had one criticism, it would be the road noise. The cabins are close to the main road. That being said, it really wasn't an issue and we still did relax and enjoy the views and relaxing time.

The decor is Instagram beautiful and the view is like a Getaway cover. Love the self-check in option. In the kitchen there is everything you will need, they have provided plenty of wood for the braai and fireplace. Had a lovely stay at Viewpoint Cabins. Great place to unwind, close to local attractions. Loved the feel and comfort of the cabin. Well equipped and makes one feel at home. Load shedding and rain was an issue (we are not sure as reception said it could sometimes be rain), no back up system of sort which can be a pain with WiFi etc. Nonetheless, one doesn’t need to spend all day in the cabin. Magoebaskloof region is a definite must!

The houses overlook the village of Haenertsburg, are super clean, new and a pleasure to visit. The manager, Moya received us personally and came to make sure that we felt at home and that everything was in order. There are nice places to eat in the town and a lot of things to do in the surrounding area.
My wife and I live in Gauteng. Perfect weekend away, not too far from home. Awesome stay. We enjoyed the stay incredibly. Would not change anything about the perfect stay.

Ek sal Viewpoint Cabins definitief aanbeveel. Pragtige ligging, pragtige, netjies en skoon huisie. Gerieflike self check-in proses. Ons het ons tyd daar baie geniet, dis 'n wonderlike wegbreek uit die stad. Dit het al die geriewe wat mens nodig het en is sentraal geleë om maklik al die sight seeing te doen in die omgewing.
Our first visit to Haenertsburg. The whole area is very beautiful, especially in the Spring with the Azaleas and Crab Apple Trees in bloom. We haven't come across such kind and helpful people in a long time. Viewpoint Cabins was a very good choice, because it is very centrally located. Everything was 100% in order in the cabins. Very exquisite interior that immediately made us feel special. Linen is of good quality and attention to detail has been given. Moira, the hostess was very friendly, she gave us good information about the area and very accommodating. We can certainly recommend Viewpoint Cabins and would stay there again anytime.

Everything and more in a lovely log cabin! Modern and everything you could need, should you want to barbecue, or cook yourself! The fireplace was definitely our favorite part of all!
We stayed in Cabin 6 and it was picture perfect! The interiors and decor are beautifully done. We absolutely loved the loft bedroom with bathtub and mountains views. We will recommend the cabins to anyone travelling to Magoebaskloof!
Beautiful, quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. No TV or technological nuisances, however the cabin is not recommended if you can't climb stairs.

However, the stairs to the bedroom are very stylish. Not for the elderly. At least the cabin could have been cleaned daily and the barbecue area was not cleaned over the weekend. Suggest purchasing a generator for power outages. What about limited TV channels?
